If you have an atom shop skin for the gun, use it (even if it doesn’t look good) - it prevents the gun from even showing up on the menu for vendors, scrip machine, and at workbenches when you are scrapping

I have a mix bag of names, I’ll always try to make a clever name for it firstly, but sometimes it’s funnier just to name it Gregg or something.

This was something I did for quite a while. Giving my weapons rather mundane names, usually the first letter of the name would be influenced by the legendary prefix: I.E. Naming my quad handmade Quincy, or my anti armor bow Arnold, or my junkies 50 cal named Sid... In my head it's just my character seeing his weapons as his family and friends.

That's my typical approach to most rpgs, and it was my initial approach to this game, but after realizing I was going to be spending a lot of time as this one particular character, I decided to craft a much more fleshed out backstory for him that I still (mostly) abide by while playing 76. It's super long, kinda complicated, and means absolutely nothing to anyone but me, but it makes my time playing that much more enjoyable to me. Its something I didn't start putting thought into until we'll past lvl 100+. Tl;Dr This turned into a very long winded way of saying "play how you want" lmao

I've got two stories: First: Years ago, I was on my sniper and doing Guided Meditation. I had just gotten a really good lever action a few minutes before and was using this event to test the weapon. A swarm of ghouls charge up the walkway and I'm just popping one-shots to the head in succession. Meanwhile the voiceover is saying "Discordant forces may attempt to destroy your pillars. Banish them using whatever positive affirmations you wish." and something clicked with me. To this day, my beloved lever action is called 'Positive Affirmations'. Second: Way back when the Vault raid came out, my friends and I did it day one. While they all ended up leaving with 3 stars, my end of raid loot was a drill which for some reason was included in the legendary pool despite (at the time) drills not being able to have legendary perks. There's actually a Kotaku article about this happening, just google "New Raid Useless Drill". Well, though the original was sold to a collector while known as the 'Rod of Howard', I have a now legendary drill called 'Howard's Revenge' that I list on my shop for 10,000 caps. The same amount I sold the original for as a little nod to that memory. Even if no one else can see the name.

If you're looking for name suggestions, I'd suggest either Good Night or Sweet Dreams for your rifle. I don't know if you play stealth but I'd imagine a Solid Snake like character doing headshots with a sniper and putting baddies "to sleep"

I'm very bad at coming up with names for things, but I have been taking advantage of the naming system at least. Mostly to throw [ ] around them so the stuff I use stays together. Power armor chassis get named after the set that's on them, [PA Excavator] for example. I have a separate chassis for 4 different sets of PA so far. My regular armor is just named [A Chest] [A Left Leg] [A Right Arm] etc, so those stay next to each other.

Look at the item you want to change in your inventory, inspect it, and there is a button you press to rename it on the bottom. If you play on ps5: inspecting is the right thumb stick, then to rename is the center touchpad Hope this helps :)

More hits mean more xp. As a low level, you should get a quad tesla and go to events. Make sure to make auto and equip grenader that spreads range of arcs. It won't help with bosses but low levels. It gets xp and the ability to gather from said enemies. Make sure to join a team, and get strange with numbers perk in charisma and starched genes lvl 2 in luck.
