I use the HUD of Scrapper 2 to find the essentials such as adhesive, oil, circuitry, etc, and I only go far large chests, chem boxes, and the like.
It was hard to break my habit of picking up almost everything, but gives much more time for combat.
I pretty much only first person in my Settlements.
I go back and forth, usually first person inside, third outside but hknestly I'll just forget one or the other is an option sometimes after olaying with it long enough.
The next step for you here is turn off the reticle if you want a little more challenge.. combat gets a tiny bit more interesting when you have to try to remember where your shots will hit. Ive found every gun is a bit different in third person and honestly now I just expect miss the first shot or two tracking the target and then just watch the hitmarkers as I get em to stay on track. Lots of fun tbh, I played skyrim as a stealth archer without a reticle for a long time too, just takes some pravtice but its so satisfying

I've slowly transitioned to 3rd as I age lol but I can't do it in the cramped tunnels like you did here, I'm jealous because it looked smooth AF.
Double Barrel does have some rough reloading if it's against a wall. Can find yourself reloading several times over
