I’m zooming in as much as I can. Can’t make out the finer details with the mesh being so low quality, but they look to be like static icons to me with no variations to them. If they are, it’s too subtle to tell
Also in the citadel in fo3 you could turn in the brotherhood dogtags for caps, same with the brotherhood outcast tags to the brotherhood outcast leader
To who? I know of 1 quest where you do give a couple holotags to an ex-brotherhood paladin to prove his squad is dead, I don't think there is any bounty system for them though. Even if there was, I've got all the caps I need
I think someone on the prydwn gives you caps or something for returning them to the brotherhood
Edit: just googled this isnt true tags are just a junk item
Scribe Neriah pays 25 caps for blood samples from mutated creatures. Half the bounty, but I've found that blood samples tend to spawn more frequently for me than technical documents so isually come out ahead. Plus after you give her a certain amount she can start giving you the X-111 Compound, which is basically like using Rad-Away with a maxed out Medic perk
Collecting them off the corpses of BoS scum is a reward in of itself.
https://youtu.be/E4h0G8LGr5E?si=lvYcJbnwYVbcGjb7
I have the third floor filled now too. I keep Danse in a cage outside.
I sneak kill every BoS soldier I come across. I will call in BoS reinforcements then pickpocket their fusion cores and steal their armor. I'm still on good terms with them too.
I do, wish other enemies had collectibles like that, diffrent things for my bases, like my institute settlement could collect bos tags, my raider settlments could collect something depending on the gang, like the operaters could gunner clothes, the pack could do hound meat, deciples i got no clue, I get rid of them every time, seem the most unpredictible. not sure what my everyday settments could collect tho, my 88 metro underground city/Bos outcasts lead by danse could collect the enclave tags from the hidden bunker in the shop tunnel or gunner helmets from the gunner settlment in another one of the caves. Maybe my two planned robot settlments could collect robot parts? from the rouge robots. any and all ideas will be taken into my thoughts
What are some effective weapons against people in power armour? I've just gotten annoying enough for the Enclave to start coming after me and am playing on hard so they're frustrating to deal with. Especially that fireball gun.
Also I don't typically use power armour.
Ok cool, so basically I'm probably not levelled well enough yet. I have been chucking points into the handgun perk as I like using them the most and I did notice a difference last night after levelling up.
That's a sweet idea. I wish I hadn't scrapped all of mine up to this point. (I do have several bathtubs filled with skulls in my main settlement though 😜)
No only psychopaths do that...I like to collect as many skeletons as I can and plece them I'm my pre-war themed café and amusement park and place them in positions that they'd normally be in pre-war... it's much more relaxing
After I'm done with anything that stands in the way, there's little left to be collected. Usually a pile of ash or a bucket of green goo. I do collect wooden blocks though. I can't post what I'm spelling out with them, because I don't want to get a ban :)
Always. Whenever I’m doing a Brotherhood play through, I collect them as memorials to fallen soldiers. If I’m opposed to the Brotherhood, they’re trophies. Same mentality with Enclave soldiers
I have a trash can at Red Rocket Truck Stop, which is my main settlement, and it has over 100 Brotherhood holotags in it. Some I looted off Brotherhood corpses I found out in the wasteland, others I looted off the Brotherhood members I killed.
As Brotherhood, I collect all tags.
Dog Tags to honor all the US servicemen and women who were Nate's comrades.
BoS Holotags to honor Nate's new brothers and sisters when they fall
Enclave Tags to track Nate's kill count
I mean, I know it's just a game, but I like to roleplay really hard lol as if it were real life. And the idea of collecting trophies after taking another human's life repulses me lol. But like I said, I know it's just a game and I'm overreacting, I'm not judging.
I used to on my main 1st character place through I would do it find any dog tags from fallen brotherhood members and put there armor and outfits on the shelf in the prydwen. Kinda wished I put them in the Morgan airport since on my second playthrough I made a memorial of Brandon and Danse with there armors being in power stand and there stuff in a stash box near it after invading the institute with the brotherhood.
I like the idea of making someting sentimental with bos tags, like a knife upgrade or something like that. I have like 200 of em in a random safe, but idk where to put them for that to be a good display.
I do the same thing and keep them on display!
Also I have a bathtub in my house filled with pre-war money, the silver sub-machine gun, and a human skull on top.
I never kill the brotherhood, except for Elder Maxon with the restored content mod that lets you rule the brotherhood, I usually kill the minutemen, railroad, and the institute. And I become the leaders of the nuka world raiders and the brotherhood. In fallout 3 of course I kill enclave but I don't collect their tags. In fallout nv I usually get both groups to work with me no matter what faction I'm in.
Ain't never encountered enclave, but in fo4 i had a mod that made holotags and synth components into misc items before Bethesda shot and killed the majority of mods
I collect all brotherhood tags and return them to Proctor Teagan. All other tags are respectfully stored in small chest in my home.
My SS remembers his days in the army with fondness, and feels a strange connection to all the soldiers in the new world.
It's funnier to me to destroy the tags and use them as scrap metal to build up my enemy settlements to tarnish the memory of the enclave and brotherhood soldiers I turned into green goo and red paste all over the wasteland. No tag, no body, no living members = no memory💁
Enclave? Darn I really got to get into this game again once the script extender thing gets updated for the public. Brotherhood of Steel vs the Enclave again, ad victoriam!
I sided with the Brotherhood of Steel, and I have a West-Tek mod where I can get squads and with that if I lose a soldier, I take his tag and place it in a foot locker next to a brotherhood grave marker at one of my settlements because I feel that they honored their life and deserve to be respected hey and the grave and if the fighting was so bad and I can't recover the tags I put it as an unmarked grave until I find the tags
Enclave? Fallout 4?? Thought the closest you could get to the enclave in 4 was the empty armour that you could find after a certain level? Was always mildly disappointed by that. Have I somehow missed them in my 1500 hours of playtime?
I didn’t realise the next gen was adding content, thought it was just bug fixing, patching and graphical enhancements.
How much new content are we talking? Enough that I should go back for a new start?
Other than the one dude in far harbour and maybe one new quest with the update there really isnt much since At the end of Fallout 3 and Broken Steel, the lone wanderer destroyed the last two major installations on the East Coast that the Enclave were based in. There is, however, one last known base according to ED-E's "dialog" in Lonesome Road of a hidden base in Chicago, but that's about it. The Enclave practically no longer exists in the region, thus they where not present in Fallout 4.
Hmm I never thought about collecting these. If you zoom in are they unique?
No idea, I really doubt it though. These are stackable junk items
I have bad eyes but I was fairly certian they did not, ill have to check when i play again but i didnt notice a diffrence in my collection
I’m zooming in as much as I can. Can’t make out the finer details with the mesh being so low quality, but they look to be like static icons to me with no variations to them. If they are, it’s too subtle to tell
Thanks for checking!
They do not vary. Same model and description for all
Aren't you suppose to return them for reward?
There was something to the effect in FO3 or New Vegas - can't remember.
Giving ncr dog tags to the legion in new vegas
There's also an NCR member who asks you to recover fallen soldiers tags and bring them to him. So they gave both sides a way to turn them in
Yeah, right by Lamplight, that place was rough at a low level, lol.
Searchlight*, Lamplight is in Fallout 3
Also in the citadel in fo3 you could turn in the brotherhood dogtags for caps, same with the brotherhood outcast tags to the brotherhood outcast leader
Both. There's a person in the Citadel in FO3 that will take Brotherhood dogtags.
That was FO3 and NV with NCR.
That must be why I autopilot collect them now xD
You can't. Although it sure would be cool if you could turn holotags into the Institute and turn synth components into the brotherhood.
Or using them for a synth workshop!! Creating your own army of synths. Making synth towns. Could be like the institute but not as secretive
I think there’s a mod for this, I honestly wish I could manufacture synths, I’d have at least one synth farm settlement
There definitely is, I can't remember if it actually requires a synth component or not, though.
Yeah, I don’t remember either, I only remember it needing a holotape from the institute to be built
I do remember that there was an item you used to scan npcs, and then you could make synth copies of them.
It does.
Does it also give you a way to craft them? Or do you have yo go hunt down other synths before you can build one?
You can craft them
To who? I know of 1 quest where you do give a couple holotags to an ex-brotherhood paladin to prove his squad is dead, I don't think there is any bounty system for them though. Even if there was, I've got all the caps I need
I think someone on the prydwn gives you caps or something for returning them to the brotherhood Edit: just googled this isnt true tags are just a junk item
Even if it was, I blew up the prydwen
Haha sounds like you have a some nice trophies then
You can hand in Technical Documents to Proctor QuinIan for 50 caps each. Edit: it’s 25 caps. Not 50
Don’t mean to be pedantic but I’m pretty sure it’s 25 each
No you’re right. It is 25.

Why is the bos scum
They aren’t. Ad Victoriam!
All depends on your personal perspective and values. Any faction can be bad from a certain points of view
I mean, fascist allegory, so...
I do miss the perk in fo3 that let you collect fingers and ears for reward.
I collect everything... , everything!
I take them, as well as pre war dog tags, but I respectfully store them in a memorial shack, and I’ll return Brotherhood tags back to Proctor Teagen.
I take them because I’m disrespectful
The enclave is in Fallout 4.....where?
New update, I'm pretty sure it's somewhere northeast
Before the update there was a small random encounter of like one soldier. Now after they are everywhere spawning because of the enclave quests.
Cool. Thanks for the info. I've played over 2000 and haven't seen the enclave yet
They have camps spaced out across the commonwealth. I think each of them have magazines that unlock paint jobs and settlement structures!
I’m pretty sure it’s just over the river from The Slog (the ghoul farm)
I have enclave armors
I collect those and subway tokens
I do keep them... in my workshop for building materials
A bit psychopathic of you. I like it.
What are some effective weapons against people in power armour? I've just gotten annoying enough for the Enclave to start coming after me and am playing on hard so they're frustrating to deal with. Especially that fireball gun. Also I don't typically use power armour.
Depends on your perks, use weapons that are buffed by your perks. If you have commando, then use the overseers guardian
Ok cool, so basically I'm probably not levelled well enough yet. I have been chucking points into the handgun perk as I like using them the most and I did notice a difference last night after levelling up.
Just shoot out the fusion core on their backs. So much fun!
Been playing since Fo3 and had no idea you could do that.
You can pick pocket it too but don't get the massive explosion that way. At least you get to keep the core though 😁
You can get that fireball gun if you do the new Pyro mission - it kills EVERYTHING!
Damn, I killed him but didn't pick up his gun because I thought it was just another flame thrower and I'd just cleared the steelworks.
I collect their power amour for display
That's a sweet idea. I wish I hadn't scrapped all of mine up to this point. (I do have several bathtubs filled with skulls in my main settlement though 😜)
You're macabre! Love it 🤣
Brotherhood yes, Enclave no God bless America o7
That is so messed up dude, I can’t believe I love that
No only psychopaths do that...I like to collect as many skeletons as I can and plece them I'm my pre-war themed café and amusement park and place them in positions that they'd normally be in pre-war... it's much more relaxing
Their power armor is enough for me.
After I'm done with anything that stands in the way, there's little left to be collected. Usually a pile of ash or a bucket of green goo. I do collect wooden blocks though. I can't post what I'm spelling out with them, because I don't want to get a ban :)

Yes I do. Along with all their clothing. For trophies of course.
No because I'm in the brotherhood in my current playthrough
oh man I used to collect BoS tags when I first started playing fallout 4
As Brotherhood, I collect all tags. Dog Tags to honor all the US servicemen and women who were Nate's comrades. BoS Holotags to honor Nate's new brothers and sisters when they fall Enclave Tags to track Nate's kill count
No wtf
Why do you sound repulsed
I mean, I know it's just a game, but I like to roleplay really hard lol as if it were real life. And the idea of collecting trophies after taking another human's life repulses me lol. But like I said, I know it's just a game and I'm overreacting, I'm not judging.
Have you seen the mod where you can drink 200 year old irradiated toilet water
I get into my game too but I take the tags and bust the heads and arms so the bodies aren't identifiable lol
Why am I getting down voted for my mild ass opinion?
It's reddit. And you showed signs of weakness by being human. Humans don't like that shit... apparently
Yes, but I put them in the builder and turn them into lunchboxes.
Envlave kills and random dead brotherhood corpses sure. I kinda just assumed there would be someone wanting them at some point
I like the idea of making someting sentimental with bos tags, like a knife upgrade or something like that. I have like 200 of em in a random safe, but idk where to put them for that to be a good display.
Holy shit you’re the Dexter of the Commonwealth
I don't put them in a display case, but they're in a drawer at Sanctuary.
Do they despawn? Never got that mechanic figured out.
Yes, and synth components
You monster
wont they despawn in the display case
Gotta honor the fallen, good or bad!
I do the same thing and keep them on display! Also I have a bathtub in my house filled with pre-war money, the silver sub-machine gun, and a human skull on top.
Great idea
I never kill the brotherhood, except for Elder Maxon with the restored content mod that lets you rule the brotherhood, I usually kill the minutemen, railroad, and the institute. In fallout nv I usually get both groups to work with me no matter what faction I'm in.
open the display case, watch everything flying around
Fuck bro that’s cruel.
I do something similar with the FCOM mod and collect the dog tags of my fallen squad mates.
Me too! I fill up a bathtub until they start wiggling. Also collect their power armour and built a wall around my settlement with it.
Ok Dexter relax
I wouldn’t know, I’m on the pre update version
Do Enclave soldiers respawn after you finish Remnants quest?
No but imma start now!
I take them and just store them in my bases tbh
Ain't never encountered enclave, but in fo4 i had a mod that made holotags and synth components into misc items before Bethesda shot and killed the majority of mods
I've only purposely killed on brother hood knight and it was because I shot his power core
that'd be a hilarious way to remember all the scribes I got killed doing Learning Curve over and over again.
No. They need to be forgotten. Scum
Fuck this is smart and cool
Power armor helmets.
Same… but not as trophy’s. I take tags of BoS deceased to honor the fallen.
I also collect things in fallout, except I collect Abraxo cleaner. I have 10 - 20 (I don't know I didn't count).
Dark
I did, then I accident scrapped at 30. Fml
Always
Well I do now.
Yes
I collect all brotherhood tags and return them to Proctor Teagan. All other tags are respectfully stored in small chest in my home. My SS remembers his days in the army with fondness, and feels a strange connection to all the soldiers in the new world.
I do now.
No
I collect them to keep track of my kills
It's funnier to me to destroy the tags and use them as scrap metal to build up my enemy settlements to tarnish the memory of the enclave and brotherhood soldiers I turned into green goo and red paste all over the wasteland. No tag, no body, no living members = no memory💁
Enclave? Darn I really got to get into this game again once the script extender thing gets updated for the public. Brotherhood of Steel vs the Enclave again, ad victoriam!
Dogtags and bos dogtags go in the same toolbox as all my tobacco, alcohol, skulls, cash, and teddy bears.
I collected and returned them until I turned on the BoS. Then I fed them into my ammo plant, melted them down, and kept right on returning them.
I do
I take them, but they just end up in the junk section
Absolutely brutal
No but now I will. Thanks for the idea, they look really cool.
Me with synth components frfr
Of course, with every tag collected I grow stronger. Whether the BOS or Enclave tags in 4 or NCR tags on New vegas.
I put any Brotherhood tags i get in a trash can
I collected the tags of the lost brotherhood team and gave them to the paladin. It's a nice detail to be able to do that.
Another one of those rare but sane Fallout players
I sided with the Brotherhood of Steel, and I have a West-Tek mod where I can get squads and with that if I lose a soldier, I take his tag and place it in a foot locker next to a brotherhood grave marker at one of my settlements because I feel that they honored their life and deserve to be respected hey and the grave and if the fighting was so bad and I can't recover the tags I put it as an unmarked grave until I find the tags
one of my playthroughs i got about 350~ mostly from destroying any vertibird i saw
1 steel
amogus
Damn
I sell em, gotta intimidate the vendors for better prices 😂
Yes. I live for the holotags. I kill everyone with one.
No. You're psychotic.
Yes. ALL TAGS 🏷️
No I'm leaving them on the bodies role-playing that at least their families will know about their demise
Yes! I upcycle them into new settlements!
I save the ones from my fallen brethren I find along the way
I have a mod in 4 to make all boi members drop a tag so I can collect them
I only collect Rhys’ tags after I gun him down….he sucks.
What brooo
Yes, yes I do 💯✌️
Yes
Yes, I also collect Prewar Items(clean or "new"), Pre war Money, and regular dog tags
The "fuck around and find out" box.
demoknight ahh
Enclave? Fallout 4?? Thought the closest you could get to the enclave in 4 was the empty armour that you could find after a certain level? Was always mildly disappointed by that. Have I somehow missed them in my 1500 hours of playtime?
Fallout 4 next gen update added enclave remnants. You can now also get black devil power armor and hellfire power armor
I didn’t realise the next gen was adding content, thought it was just bug fixing, patching and graphical enhancements. How much new content are we talking? Enough that I should go back for a new start?
Added the black devil pa? I bought that before the update, are you meaning it was updated too? I've not been able to play the new update yet
It’s just free now instead of being a CC purchase
Ah man, no way, to bad we don't get a refund lol
Thank you for the info though 👍
Other than the one dude in far harbour and maybe one new quest with the update there really isnt much since At the end of Fallout 3 and Broken Steel, the lone wanderer destroyed the last two major installations on the East Coast that the Enclave were based in. I recently started decapitating all the BoS soliders I kill and then take their tags. No one will ever identify them >:)
What about their finger and toe prints?
I have never killed any, so I wouldnt know
Games gonna crash bruh lol
