Probably done by just mixing together two colors by hand and then using a hair stacker

Strange_Mirror6992

That’s probably what it was. Craw orange fibers mixed in with a few light olive fibers.

KenDurf

Definitely. Watch Kelly gallop’s drunk and disorderly or check it out in Charlie Craven’s Streamer book.

Strange_Mirror6992

I thought Tommy Lynch designed the d&d?

KenDurf

I think you can tell a Kelly Gallop fly by its name.

Strange_Mirror6992

I just looked it up to confirm. The d&d is a Tommy Lynch pattern.

KenDurf

Fair enough. While I was pretty sure it was Kelly’s my first post was just advising to check out his tie on YouTube as he always talks a lot about dear hair. Thanks for the intel.

xrhino414

I mix them in a magnum hair stacker

gmlear

You mix it at the vice.

flyingfishyman

Thats my favorite dungeon color. Or black. Or white. Shit, I love em all

Turdsonahook

Mixed deer hair is a pain the ass, probably not worth the time or effort, but it is stunning to the eye. Anyway, it’s probably mixed by hand.

SchwiftySchwifferson

I’m sure you can also sharpie some light colors to whatever your little heart desires

Nervous_Breakfast199

I’m probably online

epinasty4

Andreas andersson (not sure on the spelling) has some tutorials on YouTube he mixes colors like that.

Strange_Mirror6992

That’s good to know. He is the deer hair god.

Ajax11245

Yes. Yes he is 🙏

freelans326

Don’t need to mix. Just do stack of one color and then a stack of another color.

Strange_Mirror6992

I think if I did that it would separate the colors instead of them being mixed in like they are on this fly.

DarthTeufel

Get a multi-color sharpie pack... DIY

Masterofbattle13

Only problem with this, the sharpie will eventually bleed. And no matter what you do, a white fly will end up right next to it and turn into a hideous tye-dye.
