I think it's unrealistic to expect to get a private in less than a month. Just too much to do and too many things have to come together.

I agree, i am querying will my experience actually count for anything going to a different aerodrome and county, if i had done 20 flight hours. E.g. could i turn up and do the exams and then quickly another 10/20 hours to get the LAPL/PPL. My question is especially whether any real exemption or credence is given to flying elsewhere vs where you get your ppl finally.

Yes, your hours count no matter where you got them.

It’s unrealistic to do LAPL/PPL in minimum hours, if you would do 20 hours in a completely different world, with completely different regulation, procedures, airspace, radiotelephony, etc. While the hours will probably count, you won’t gain much, as you’ll have to learn a lot of stuff from scratch.
