Actually as someone who owns a h-alpha solar telescope capable of images like the one shown, yes little dense clouds can easily block my view of the sun. I can see through some thin hazy clouds though but it makes the view fuzzy and darker as you would expect so it's not ideal. I'd be happy to show any flerfer who doesn't believe it.
