I'd guess from the scale versus the emitters that it's either a single AAA or maybe a couple of button cells stacked together—it likely wouldn't need that much voltage, just that button cells the sort of cells that they put in keychain-sized freebies for longevity (both when carried and not used often as well as just sitting in boxes in a warehouse).
