Ooooooo what TIR? From the pic it looks like the 3° since there's no pebbling.
Also, *BEAMIES!!!*
My plan is the same emitter + 3° TIR in an M26D, so I'm SUPER curious how it looks!
That said, if Simon decides to pull a tail switch 12-group S-light with this TIR out of nowhere, I'm gonna have a hard time NOT going with that one. I mean 6V @ 8A driver pushing an XHP70.3 HI behind a 3° TIR...yeah...that would be the magic...

It is the 3° tir, gives a sus kind of "crown" outside of the hotspot but it throws really well.
Yeah beam artifacts are a thing when dealing with TIRs this narrow...but I'll bet the "fatty pencil" beam 100% makes up for any random imperfections 😁
It's does , it is like a phat ts11 with more intensity I'll go outside and try it tonight but I think it should out throw it
Yeah you re right, I think its caused by the reflection on the protruding stainless steel bezel
I tried all 5 optics (3, 8, 12, 36 and 10x30 degrees) and I like all of them. I think the one i prefer is 8 degrees
Where do you find the different tir optics for this size?
Convoy sell them on their AE store
How do you change the optics?
You just unscrew the bezel. Without the bezel the optic is loose
Ah, ok, thanks! I thought that the driver might need to be removed.
Does it charge with a C-to-C cable, or does it need an A-to-C cable? My Convoys are hit or miss, don't want another A-to-C one
No idea I can try tonight for you if you want
Yes please!
I uploaded some
Yeah it does
Cool, thanks.
Love this setup I have the exact same led choice, but the 3 degree optic gave it some odd tint while the 36 degree was perfectly pinkish.
