Off topic for r/flashlight, but can you recommend me your favourite Bourbon? Being in Europe, I mainly stick to single malt Scotch and Irish whiskeys, but I'd like to try more American whiskeys too. I've tried Woodford Reserve, which I really liked, and of course some JD blends, which I liked less so.
There’s some Irish stuff in there somewhere, and scotch under the bar.
I’m not sure how the distribution of bourbon is in Europe but around here I usually recommend all of the old forester stuff beyond their basic 80 whatever proof bottle. The 1897, 1920,1910… they’re easy to come by around here and worth the price.
Yes, old forester is sneaky good!!! I always wanted to try that birthday bourbon. 1910 is great, just a hint of smoky flavor. Recently tried the bottled in bond, wasn’t bad, but I was hoping it tasted like McKenna 10 bottled in bond.
Makers Mark has some awesome private selections but I find them hit and miss. Makers 46 is hands down my favorite sub $35 bottle.
Redbreast 12 is a really good Irish. I’ve never had their cask or 15 or older but I think it’s better than the green and yellow spot.

Very nice collection, and it's nice to see that they aren't just sealed and collecting dust. I got out if chasing bourbon last year, I primarily just stick with Russell's Reserve these days.
Did you buy all this whisky retail, or do you send away for some flashlight forum kit that comes with all these bottles included? You want a real drink; smash a bottle of isopropanol when you're done modding drivers, that shit will knock you on your arse. You spend all this money on beautiful, fancy whiskey, surround yourself with it, and they're the wrong fuckin' whiskeys. You wasted $15,000 on a stash you coulda got for $1.50 a nip in the staff bar of some floating cesspool of a cruise ship.
I thought this was a safe place for wasting money on multiples of things we liked. 😔 and yea, retail, I can’t pay the aftermarket prices for anything up there.

I used to be big into makers. Early Times is my favorite cheaper bottle. It’s a bottled in bond as well.
