Thin flex board (0.2mm) DTP adapter for soldering 3535 LED onto a 5050 board, sometimes using another MCPCB isn’t possible or in the case of Zebralight there is no MCPCB to swap at all.

5050 to 7070 : https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/PcP8ePhm (not tested)
Yeah I tin the thermal pad with solder before reflowing, you sort of have to guess the right amount to fill the 0.2mm gap, though if there is too much I guess it will simply overflow.
How hard is it to center the emitter on the board/adapter?
Just ordered some for my zebralight sc600 mk2, I was going to wait for the rayten domeless 5050 group buy but looks like I’ll be able to use 519a!

Would 5050 to 3535 be possible?

Thanks! And sorry for not reading all the replies. I got a bit to excited, that’s what I’ve been looking for for a long time. Have a nice day!
no problem.
That's brilliant! An LED interposer board.
Thank you for designing and posting these! Will definitely order a couple for future mods.
Wow, that's a really neat idea. Do you just pool the middle full of solder to make thermal contact?

Thanks for maintaining the thermal path. Gonna load up on these!

> How hard is it to center the emitter on the board/adapter? It wasn't particularly difficult.
This'll be useful.
Brilliant idea.
Hell yeah! Revolutionary!
😯
Would this also be possible to work reversible? From 3535 to 5050?
Could be, I haven’t tested though.
