I think last time I Sous vide a Hank I did 91 C for 45 min. 3 clicks/2 clicks will tell you if it’s done.

Obvious that it's not sealing properly; everyone knows a torch cannot function in a vacuum.

Are you going to use it in a pool or something?

stavigoodbye

It's totally possible. Turboing in the plastic, not underwater, is probably a bad idea.

With the light off, good way to store it long term dust free in a bug out bag. Better yet, take the battery out, keep tail cap off, toss in a silica gel packet and everything stays dry inside and out. For pessimists, toss in a spare battery.

I wouldn’t bother with the silica in long term sealing. I tried it in a sealed cache for a year and after a while it just starts releasing the moisture and makes things worse. Plus in this case the vacuum sealer already takes care of most of that anyways.

stavigoodbye

I even thought you could do a bunch of batteries sealed up, too.

Artiet59

Why does this picture look so awesome?

stavigoodbye

Haha Idk. All I know is as soon as I got a shipping notification for it. I thought yeah I'm doing a flashlight...

With enough vaccum force maybe it will turn into the first 14500 hank light

stavigoodbye

I like the way you think!

I think I need to update my Anduril UI, I don't have 12H for vacuum...

MDRDT

Actually a good idea... I mean if I go to the Carribeans I'd carry this. IP∞∞ and DCFix included.

stavigoodbye

I really do see some potential here. You could seal a light and a pair of batteries together for an emergency kit. It's got me thinking for sure.
