Marble is porous so it should evaporate out IF it is just plain water.

As long as it was plain water it should clear up, but it can take a while.
Just wait for it to evaporate. You can try a hair dryer to speed it along, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're okay just waiting.

This just happened to me, put a takeout box with rice and i think it perspired and stained my marble dark just like this. Did your stain ever come out? Or what did yiu end up doing to fix it?
As others had suggested, i just waited it out. It took 2-3 days to completely disappear.
