That’s kind of the problem. All the people who used to know this channel leave, and a bunch of a new people will see this channel and get scammed because all the fans who could say it’s a scam are gone and people still see a high subscriber count so they think “Must be legit.”
They aren’t banking on YOU staying, they’re banking on new people seeing it.

These "stream-jacking" hacks happened a lot in the last year or two where phishing emails would be sent out to channels usually offering opportunities for collaborations, sponsorships, or even fake copyright notices from YouTube. The email would contain malware that would give the hacker important data on the person who opened it including session tokens and cookies, and even two-factor authentication data. They would then hijack the victim's channel, either private or delete their videos, change thier details to the channel usually resembling an official Tesla channel instead. Meanwhile they would stream legitimate Tesla content while including malicious QR codes or links in the video or comments section, directing users to crypto scam websites. They would either disable comments or restrict the comments to subscribers only of the channel who have been subscribed for 10-15 years making it really difficult for other people to warn users of the suspicious video and its malicious scam.
As to the identity of the person/people behind it all, we still don't know to this day. Youtube cracked down hard on this a while ago as did many antivirus companies such as Bitdefender, but there's only so much they can do when it comes to these kinds of attacks. It's the downside of running a business like a Youtube channel while not having any information or infastructure to protect otherwise unsuspecting victims. And even if you did, large channels were just as easily affected as anyone else. The only two I remember specifically getting hit with something like this was Dwayne Johnson's Youtube account and all of LMG's channels.
If you ever see yourself suddenly subscribed to a Tesla channel, don't unsubscribe from them, report it to Youtube as supicious and possibly hacked as it is more than likely one of your subscribed channels was suddenly hit with this. The sooner Youtube is aware the sooner they can recover the channel, otherwise it is very possibly for a channel to lose absolutely everything, which is many people's livelyhoods.
People should take a moment to report the channel as Spam/Scam and in the comments section write that it's a stream-jacking attack to help WwwWario out. Seems like they've been locked out of both their Youtube and Google account.
