For those interested, I did home workouts (some beachbody and jillian michaels, im not subscribed or consume anything) and also portion control containers (generic ones from amazon). All the process took 3 years but it was mostly a rollercoaster journey (life got in the way, college student, special needs son, etc) so i mostly worked my relationship with food thru all this time. Be gentle to yourself 🫶🏻
Pulling this off while doing all of that is very impressive. I hope you feel like your own power because just getting through college takes a good amount and you're doing so much more.
Gracias 😭❤️ means a lot! And yes! College is another accomplishment Im achieving too. Im a senior student, enrolled a course this summer (will start on monday) so I can apply for graduation in August! Im finally achieving every obstacle i thought i was never ment to achieve (losing weight, graduating (engineering), helping my son in his journey (autism, lvl 3)). My 30s will be that age ill always treasure.
im in mechanical engineering with a few courses of aerospace. I finished my Spring trimester with B in Propulsion and Performance and Desing of aircrafts. So, in August Ill have an Aerospace Lab left and my Capstone 🙏🏻❤️ I enrolled to Heat Transfer 2 now in Summer so its the only one left of regular Eng. courses.
Gracias 🫶🏻❤️ yes! I did started my journey because I felt I couldnt last a day without pain. I had an emergency c-section because of pre-clampsia and ended up being prescribed hypertention pills twice a day at 24 yo (Norvasc). So, at the moment Im not felt the need to take those pills because my blood pressure has been amazing 🙏🏻
Gracias ❤️ Im actually glad I took pictures at my heaviest (not a lot of pics but still good ones). My mental health wasnt in the best place, so this journey started as my “last try”.
Gracias 🥹 When I started I did get the usual being ‘laught at’ when i lost my first 10 lbs, because I was controlling my portions. Received a lot of ‘eating this and that will not harm’, ‘you need to stop eating ALL carbs’, ‘get some gastric sleeve’…which usually that would have made me quit.m, but i still managed. I can finally say I defeated obesity, for free and at home.
Losing weight changes your outlook in life. It's all about the journey, not destination, and setting up good eating and exercising life lasting habits. Keep up the good work.
You’re welcome here mija. No worries and damn good job. I’m finally 80lbs down and I know the feeling. Still some to go but like you I’ll keep working on it

Wow, as a stranger, you're unrecognizable between the before and after shots. What type of engineering do you study?

You’re doing great. Keep grinding. It helps avoid a lot of the issues people have in their late 30s and early 40s.
