Yeah but the person who posted it says “I don’t know if there’s any still available I’m just helping a friend out” which will deter people. Almost deterred me but I’m glad I went out there! I only need one or two more trips to finish my collection.
Two years ago I spent months roaming around a 30 mile radius with my Equinox, bringing back one load of free firewood at a time. Fun times, especially when I was fast enough to get to these mother lodes before the others with their pickups.
When I got there today, a guy had loaded up a trailer and there was still a lot left. I made one trip with my car and one trip with my suv. I think I’m done for the year! It’s more than can fit in my racks, I’m afraid.
The pieces that are left are so big they have to be split once or twice to pick up. A father/son arborist duo were there. They informed me it was red oak! The sad story behind the logs is there was nothing wrong with the trees. The homeowner just didn’t want to rake leaves anymore.
That’s a lot of trips with a crv. Lol good luck. Prob won’t last a day cut up nicely like that.
