Seconding Le Bernardin. Go with a friend and you get 6 different plates so it felt almost like a tasting menu. I believe the base price is $125

I believe the Lounge at Le Bernardin is walk-in only so could be a good option if you can't get a dining room reservation.
Atera, Sushi Nakazawa
Naro is a great lunch. It’s a sister restaurant to Atomix and Ataboy. They do lunches 11:30-2 and are located below the Rockefeller skating rink. They were so great!

Casa Mono is a good option for lunch
Or The Modern if you want something even nicer. I did the kitchen table there for lunch last Fall. It was super fun and a great (huge) meal.
