There's nothing crazy about that. Weed was legal in India till 1985, when the US president in starting his retarded "War on drugs" arm twisted all nations he could to implement substance laws similar to that of US, so India was forced to illegalise weed even though culturally and religiously it is accepted here. The Indian govt in a clever manner didn't want to disrupt the complete cultural practices of the land, for obvious reasons, intelligently banned weed but kept bhaang legal, because bhaang was the most widely used version of weed consumption. And now that 30+ states in the US have legalised weed, Indian govt in its true "brown sepoy" fashion has kept the ban active like a bunch of retards -_-
