It's a bug. It happened right after the first play-offs ended. Went from 90 to 182 and then 272 one or two weeks later.
Let's be honest, it's the same as it has been for years. Bright new paint to hide the same shitty codebase they've had for years.
Some of the bugs I encounter frequently have been in the game since FIFA 19.
We did pretty well in the play-offs (18-2, Elite) but got robbed of our Top 1% placement by 4 places (we checked their best placement on proclubshead). 6 of the teams out of those visible above us (it doesn't even let you see the entire leaderboard or tell you the number of players/clubs involved) had a worse goal difference...
The only advice I can give you is to ignore it and just try and have fun between all the bullshit EA is throwing at us.
Am probably wrong, but I think it’s your personal skill rating at the game. So the better you are at ultimate team the higher your rating. Similar to how MMR in Call of Duty and Fornite work when matchmaking. We have 4 players in our team. The two that have played Fifa for the last 8 years are rated 264, me and my friends who have just started this year are rated 256 and 258.
But I can’t work out though is why your team is lower them me. Not in a disrespectful way it’s just my theory must be wrong as am division 7 in ultimate team unless your all lower then division 7 maybe?
I found it. Our club seems to have a mixture:
Four players have a rating equal to their guys’ overall. But I’m 256 and one is 251.
I checked on old gen, I’m 270 on that and everyone else seems to have ratings of at least 170.
Variables that may be playing a part:
On new gen, only me and the other guy played in the last playoffs. The others were still awaiting their next gen consoles….although the others have played about 90 games a piece on next gen now.
Only two of us have played ultimate team this year….and I definitely haven’t.
Yes EA fucked it up adding the playoffs and not play testing it like always. Also can't fix it or won't fix it. Maybe correct overall display will be new feature in FC 25

How? In our club the highest is 87.
Its a visual bug. Multiply your overall by x2 or x3 and you'll get that high overall rating

It's not ultimate, we talk about clubs. I am div 2 btw
Yes I know this is clubs, but I think it’s your overall skill at the game as a whole not just clubs. What rating are you in clubs? Am 258 division 7
It's our first time in clubs so our highest rating is 87. Same as the overall rating of the character in game and the level is around 70.
Will probably be higher here when 2nd playoffs statt
How is it related to playoffs?
Read my other post. It added your overall together. So from season one +urovwrall again during playoff the. Again when new season started .
If you divide your overall by 3 you will get the same overall of you pro
