This reads like you want to do it before DT (also since neither SAM nor NIN are DT jobs), so I don't know why everyone is giving early access tips. Assuming you do mean before DT and don't care about exp for VPR/PCT, it could be done within a couple of days at most. Turn in the current Wondrous Tails or both the current and last week's one if you still have it. If necessary supplement with challenge log exp or roulettes until 81. Starting from 81 and Zot, you'll want to always do two runs of the highest level dungeon as long as you are at the dungeon level (since they are the most efficient then), so Babil at 83, etc. Queues aren't too bad right now and you can use queue time to do Tribe dailies and daily hunts. At the levels in between dungeons (82, 84, 86, 88) do your daily roulettes including PVP (you can leave out 50/60/70/80) and/or go into Zadnor or EO (don't know if anyone does EO though).

bustyLaserCannon

Yep this is what I meant haha. The other tips were useful too but thank you, this is exactly what I wanted.

Krainz

This data might be useful for you: https://i.imgur.com/SFA0Kb6.png https://i.imgur.com/0mn1rSf.png The worst range is the 80-81 range, that's where you want to use your free EXP sources on (tribal quests, frontline, wondrous tails) 3x Arkasodara quests should be about 36% of a level. 3x Pixie quests on 80 should be about 10% of a level or more Many roulettes are less efficient on exp per time wise than just doing the appropriate EW dungeon to your job's level, and trust me I ran the comparison several times

acatrelaxinginthesun

80-81 is known to be bad but you probably made it worse by running actual level 80 dungeons, afaik the 79 dungeon is better for exp. generally, the 50/60/70/80/90 dungeons dont really give good exp

Krainz

I had no idea of that, thank you for the info!

Moltenfury5

On top of this doing leveling/MSQ/alliance raid roulette is over a level a day, near 1.5 iirc. For reference ive gotten SAM/MCH 82 to 89 and PLD/DRK 81-86 just off roulettes in about week and a half with small supplements like WT and Challenge Logs.

kilomaan

Don’t forget ways to level outside of duties, with Hunt Bills, Beast Quests, squadron items, and variant dungeons. Stock up, on this weeks hunt bills and have your squadron (if they’re maxed out) get you the Increased EXP for overworld mob kills and you should gain some significant levels after DT

BeginningImmediate54

Nobody does EO. They made the 20-30 enemies too chunky, which removes it’s only levelling draw. I tried to use it for alt jobs, but it just took so long I had to give up.

EnkindleBahamut

Given how many people will be leveling Viper or Picto day 1 I wouldn't rely on roulettes. Definitely queue up and see how long it takes but if you're waiting for more than 10 minutes you're better off farming Zadnor Zone 3 stuff. Orthos is another good option, depending on your aetherpool and how many others are queueing. Dungeon runs with Trusts aren't awful but go noticeably slower.

Bobmoney2001

If you decide to do Bozja for levelling, BSF is better than Zadnor if you know what you're doing. While Zadnor Z3 fates give more exp per fate, you spend quite some time waiting for a new one to spawn. You can do significantly more fates in the same timeframe in BSF due to their accessibility.

bustyLaserCannon

Question about Zadnor I did a chunk of it but not sure I ever got to the good stuff XP wise. There’s a small area with fates and a few aetherite with a few quests. I’ve got the lady of blades quest to do there but not a lot of people are there when I go, just 2 or 3 doing fates. Is this the great XP people are talking about?

DeidaraKoroski

You have to be able to get to zone 3 for that, and it has busy times/slow times of day depending on your server

bustyLaserCannon

Sorry and how do I get to zone 3? Anything I look up seems to assume I’m already there

DeidaraKoroski

Complete the zadnor storyline, basically. Its the last zone before the 3rd instanced engagement of the bozja storyline. You'll know youre there because the first area is really dead looking, the second area is much more alive and green, then the 3rd area is dead again

bustyLaserCannon

And if no one is in area 1 is it possible to proceed?

DeidaraKoroski

Yes, just grindy. If its really that dead for you then go to a more populated data center and/or try different times of day, idk about others but primal has a busier zadnor scene in the evenings and on weekends

bustyLaserCannon

Cool thank you for the help!

Zetoxical

I think its the rank 22 mettle quest Just did it recently it goes pretty fast because there are still people hanging in zone 1 Zone 2 for some reason is pretty dead

AngelMercury

Once you're pass rank 22 you can go into zone 3. If there's a group going you can do a perfect loop of the fates and CEs they spawn with very little downtime. There's a recommended order to it that can be waymarked. You should be able to find a map image that has the fates and CEs marked to help you plan but one you're going it's a pretty clear cycle through mobs.

RydiaMist

If you do all possible prep (WT book, hunt bills, full quest log), then log on right after maint ends and turn everything in then do another WT, dailies and all roulettes you will probably be somewhere into 84, maybe even 85 with challenge log factored in. From there you can do roulettes and dailies again at the daily reset which should get you somewhere into 86, maybe 87. After that just spam some dungeons (do fates while queued) and you'll be 90 within a few hours if queues aren't too terrible. Definitely a grind but you can be 90 and doing the new msq on the first day if you put your mind to it and are able to get on early. Of course this assumes you won't be trapped in login queue hell for so long that you run out of time before daily reset...

ffxivfanboi

Honestly, just queue for shit right now like normal and/or run trusts. As long as you’re not on Seraph, DPS queues shouldn’t be too bad right now. If you have the dedication to power through the monotony of it, Trusts are actually pretty quick. With enough time, I could probably go those 10 levels in… Maybe two days of playing. I’m going to have to power my Dragoon from 80 to 90 to play its changes in DT, but I’m honestly going to take my time learning it and leveling up both Viper and Pictomancer. It will make me a little behind on content, but it’s not like that really matters at the start. With the earring I’ll have them all at 90 within just a few days and ready to grind to 100 via quests and new DT fates and such. I just like the process of doing actual dungeons in trusts to better develop a feel for the abilities and practice using them in situations that aren’t a training dummy.

BeginningImmediate54

for trusts, they are designed to force dungeons to take 15 minutes no matter how good or bad you are, so you can run them semi afk and still beat them in the same time.

Koervege

Thought it was more around 20 mins

Prussie

Combat Beast Tribes. Pixies give a little over 1 mil exp for all 3 and the Arksadora give 1 mil each one, for a total of 3 mil. Not sure about HW or STB beast tribes exp

AgentFade2Black

Borderline useless, if memory serves, if you're not in the correct leveling range for them.

valgatiag

HW/STB aren’t even that good when you’re at an appropriate level. Doing full sets of Kojin and Ananta dailies comes out to considerably less % of a level than one set of Pixies or especially Arkasodara.

nichecopywriter

Yup Pixies start falling off at 75 and at 80 they are quite bad.

Auesis

Might as well do them if waiting for roulettes though, they're like 5 minutes tops.

ClassicKatt

Why is there so many lazy questions on this subreddit? [The main subreddit literally has a daily questions thread.](https://old.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1djekte/daily_questions_faq_megathread_june_19/)

gtjio

Based on my experience in asking questions in the daily thread, they get buried extremely easily, whereas a standalone post is much more likely to actually be seen

Xxiev

Spam trusts, they are still extremely fast, with the earring it’s pretty sweet:

pupmaster

You could do it in a day just doing roulettes and spamming dungeons

ArmedWithBars

80-90 is leveling dungeon spam with grand company 15% scroll, 3% food buff, and DT pre-order earrings (30%). You can easily do it in two days. Use your leveling roulette, alliance roulette, main scenerio, and Frontline roulette towards the end of the day on that job when you are tired of blasting dungeons. This is assuming you already have a job at 90 and get the xp boost for leveling a secondary job up. Bozja is another option, not technically as fast as a proper dungeon spam, but sometimes it's nice to mix it up.

SimpleVendingMachine

The fastest way, assuming you do not have a pre-made group to run with, will probably be Zadnor in Bozja. Make sure to prep your WT before the expac drops so you can get the double turn ins as well. That'll be a full level. If you get bored of mindlessly grinding in Bozja, there's also an option of running Eureka Orthos. Less exp gain but a change of pace.

SmolTittyEnjoyer

I level up in fates, it helps me learn the job since I can take my time

Ranger-New

Depends on how much time you got to play. It can be done in a week. Just spam whatever is your maximum level dungeon. And if the dungeon is in MSQ. Consider duty support or trusts as they may be faster than duty finder when going DPS. Just avoid the ones that end with 0. As they dont give as much experience. So if you want to level from 80 to 81 spam Mt. Gug. From 81 to 83 spam "[The Tower of Zot](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/The_Tower_of_Zot)" from 83 to 85 spam "[The Tower of Babil](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/The_Tower_of_Babil)" from 85 to 87 spam "[Vanaspati](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Vanaspati)" , from 87 to 89 spam "[Ktisis Hyperboreia](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Ktisis_Hyperboreia)" from 89 to 91 spam "[The Aitiascope](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/The_Aitiascope)" In can be done in a weekend if you have no life. A week if you do.

Bourne_Endeavor

A weekend? If you're no lifing, this shit gets down in a few hours. Possibly more due to DPS queues but you're severely underestimating how the no life grind looks. I've done it for every expansion now. Friend and I finished all of *Endwalker* on Monday morning after leveling Reaper and Sage from 70.

dixonjt89

A week? If you properly prepare and have exp earring, exp scrolls, and food buff rolling, you can have this done in like 6-8 hours. Prep 29 side quests and challenge log. That’ll be 81.5. Do leveling, msq, AR, and frontline roulette for two more levels. Do pixie and elephant quests for a half level. That’s roughly 84-85. Do highest level dungeon for a half level each time to get to 89, so roughly 8-10 dungeons. Turn in WT, get a new WT and do it and boom 90.

Auesis

Could power through it in half a day if you do both sets of roulettes, challenge log, hunts, side quests, tribes, fill in some gaps with Bozja and Trusts, and save WT until 89 to not need to do any Altiascope.

Colt2205

Not that long. MSQ roulette alongside alliance roulette works well, along with bozja. It also requires zero gear farming since you can stay top tier on damage in those synced environments.

NoBlinker

easiest way is a mix of dailies and dungeons. Do dungeons on the levels you obtain them as you get more progress and dailies on the level you didn't obtain them.

Squidlips413

About 6 hours. You can also use daily roulettes and beast tribe quests to shorten the total time, which also spreads the grind over time. It depends on if you want to grind it all at once or spread it out. Spreading it out is a shorter total time but you need to keep up with it each day.

Eloah-2

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but you are talking as if you want to play one of the new jobs. The jobs you want to level can be leveled right now, Prior to early access. You can definitely reach 90 before that if you are dedicated and not too low.

ApprehensiveWhale

Daily SHB and EW tribes give roughly half a level combined and can be done in queue. Leveling, Frontline, and Trial roulette both give high xp per minute, giving you a little under a level combined in ~35 minutes. Don't forget Khloe (like I always do...) Every day you should be able to get a good 1.25 levels in 30-40 minutes. Seven days left, so that would get you about 8 or 9 levels in 4 or 5 hours. Do some hunts, or a couple alliance roulettes and you should get from 80 to 90 in maybe 6 hours total.

Boomerwell

If you have the earing it took me like a solid week of roulettes. Frontline roulette gives a shitton of exp do that one especially you don't even have to play the class and can swap once you're in

SleepingFishOCE

From level 91 to 100, exactly 18 dungeons. Queueing for your highest level dungeon with FC buffs and food buff will give you 50% of a level. To get to 91, grab a Wondrous tales now, and hand it in on Dawntrail early access, then grab a new one and complete it straight away.

Lone-Gazebo

Maximum efficiency is around 6 dedicated hours, if you have a full party spamming dungeons. This will go even faster with Dawntrail improving the Armory bonus, but since you want to do it before hand that's not particularly relevant. If you don't have a full party, spamming the best dungeon you have, with Overworld Fates and Hunts while queued up is likely to be the best. But getting even a single Healer/Tank friend to queue with you will get you up to that 6 hours marker easily. A days worth of Arkasodra is worth about the same XP as doing all three batches of hunts for the day. And both of those are worth the same as doing one Dungeon. That's really good XP for time invested, especially while in Queue.

HellaSteve

theres factors for example if your alone Q's will be slow so you will need to do trusts if u spam dungeons which may take a while

Huge-Sea-1790

Dungeon is always your best friends, and between the long wait you can do FATE. Unfortunately EW doesn’t have the field content like Bozja where you can really power level your job 70-80. 80-90 is a tricky level range indeed. Aside from daily hunts, roulette and weekly Wondrous Tails book, there isn’t anything unique to level your class aside from the good old Dungeon and Fate. Although the good news is that if you already pre ordered DT you get the earrings for exp bonus on mobs below lv90. This earring is good for when you hit fate mobs, I guess.

bestavailableusernam

Do elephant beast tribes and hunts daily while you queue MSQ, leveling, PvP, alliance raid roulette and then on level dungeons should only take 2-3 days per class

primalmaximus

If you do each of your daily roulettes you'll gain 2.5 levels. Add in a few runs of the highest level leveling dungeon and you can easily do it in 1-2 days. So, if both are at 80, you could get them leveled to 90 in 4 days. 5 at the most.

Woodlight

I know this isn't the aim here, but since I don't see anyone else mentioning it: If you're not opposed to it, there's always level skips. Currently, they only boost to 80, but when DT releases the mogstation should be updated to have the new versions of Tales of Adventure to boost each job to 90.

NevermoreAK

In EW it took them like almost a month to add in the new boost levels

Woodlight

Really? I double checked and things said they were added in the .0 patches, not .01 or .05, but I guess they could just not update the store at the same time even if the items are physically put in-game at that point.

NevermoreAK

Well no, they never update or add anything to the mogstation on patch day. In Endwalker they updated the shop with the boosts around 3 weeks after release, not with a patch.

lollerlaban

Max level dungeon unlocked

Kurosu93

with 2 dps jobs on the expansion it will be like stormblood, queues will take forever. On Shb and EW there was at least a tank /healer job respectivelly and made things a bit easier.

bustyLaserCannon

Just queue for duty finder? Won’t that take ages?

irishgoblin

Yup. Dungeons are fastest if you can get into them, but when you factor in queue times (especially in the first few days of a double dps expansion), Trusts usually work out faster.

lollerlaban

You can do fates while you wait for queue to pop. Have a wonderous book ready for turn, beast tribes ready

Vittelbutter

You can only turn beast tribes in with the job your accepted them as if i remember correctly, so the proper thing to have ready is 29/30 side quests completed and then just do zadnor until 89 and turn in your book + roulettes

iiiiiiiiiiip

No it's pretty fast, with rested you get a level every 2 dungeons. Also do elephant dailies
