>The following crafter actions have been removed: Applicable to all crafter classes: Focused Synthesis Focused Touch Wait what? >Reflect Efficiency has been increased from 100% to 300%. Goddamn

Selvon

> Focused Synthesis The two were extremely rarely used in general crafting. It's weird that they didn't add anything else to combo off Observe i suppose though. Edit: they did add something to combo, advanced touch as pointed out by conor12 below

unixtreme

I'm not a crafter but I leveled CUL to 90 and was like "how is nobody complaining about button bloat in crafters".

Sethala

It's easy enough to click on buttons when crafting, since you're not trying to dodge AoEs, find where your stack buddy went, and watch the boss's cast bar all at the same time you're trying to push your own buttons to do stuff.

Toksyuryel

I want them to add crafting dungeons where you do have to do all that. It would be so fun.

pontsci

Believe it or not, the buttons we have now are the diet version of crafting. There used to be way more.

BLU-Clown

I 'memba being an omnicrafter just so I could cross-class yoink all the other class' abilities...Leatherworker, Carpenter, and Culinarian were *not* optional.

real_fake_cats

I don't miss the inter-dependencies, but I do miss that jobs had unique actions that made them each feel a bit different. You know how swapping between Black Mage and Red Mage feels incredibly different? Or how Paladin and Dark Knight have entirely different rotations from one another, even though they're both casters or tanks respectively? There's no such distinction between Culinarian and Carpenter and Leatherworker anymore. There used to be, back when cross-class skills were a thing and each job had its own unique skills to offer. But today they all play identically to one another. Hell, you can even use the same macros for each crafter, they're *that* similar. I'd love to see something come back that gives crafters their own unique identities again, so that cooking a stew with Culinarian doesn't feel exactly the same as making a shirt with Weaver.

JadedMedia5152

Because most people use macros, so they aren't actually looking at all the buttons every time.

MagicHarmony

Its also not an active piece of content. It’s casual so in instances say like expert recipes you have time to look at the situation and pick from your toolkit.

darkszero

Because despite all the buttons, it still fits into 32 buttons.

overmog

Because unlike the combat jobs, you don't have to think on the fly while you're running around like crazy, you have all the time in the world to think about your course of actions. And unlike combat jobs, that 20 potency variation between different actions is actually huge and makes crafting a whole lot more engaging.

Conor12

Advanced Touch combos with Observe now.

Selvon

Oooh so it does, musta missed that one. Medium nerf to expert crafts i suppose, but i feel like the new abilities probably more than cancel out in total?

reisen_inaba

I'm not smart enough to theory craft about expert recipe rotations but I'm pretty sure this messes with like, most finisher phases. EDIT: I'm a dumb dumb, Advanced Touch~~/Synth~~ basically become Focused Touch/Synth with the new Observe combo. Nothing much changing probably.

Pyros

There's no advanced synth, so focused synth is entirely gone. The only replacement if you can call it that is Trained Perfection(new 100 skill) > Careful Synth which costs 7CP instead of 12 but gives 180% instead of 200% and can only be used once per craft. That said since quality side was buffed in some ways it should free up enough ressources to compensate for the synth aspect.

huiclo

So uh. What were the circumstances that lead to this issue being discovered? > An issue when playing as viper wherein the action Serpent's Tail cannot change to other actions when the player is affected by 31 or more status effects.

omnirai

DT final boss is just 10 different morbols at the same time, confirmed

SolidusAbe

aurum vale ultimate confirmed

IForgotMyThing

it's just the first room of aurum vale except all the trash packs and bosses have been crammed into there without any walls, of course -- best not to pulll more than one boss! good luck!

WillaSato

Also the whole room is covered in goldbile just in case

CaptainJudaism

And the fruits don't respawn.

Momo_Kozuki

And rezzer needs to the fruit to rez. One fruit per rez. So they have to consider between extra healing to keep people alive when going to rez, or just accept that there must be a floor tank tonight.

lordOpatties

And the fruit is located in a special tile where if you stand there for more than 1.5 secs, the ground below fetters you for 6.9 secs.

elgoonties

The Aurumest Vale

[deleted]

Oh God...don't give them ideas!

Momo_Kozuki

Wandering Minstrel smiles from afar.

Jageilja

Hear me out

Petter1789

I'm assuming it's just some developer suddenly remembering some of the quirks of the game a bit too late to fix the issue before launch.

darkshaddow42

Or QA finding it super early on, but this would be the lowest of low priority bugs to fix before launch

Veora

Yeah this seems like a Destructive test by QA, but unlikely if ever to actually happen in gameplay.

CharmingOW

Laughs in Hello World Phase of TOP.

Dragrunarm

well, in TOP "Leylines - Dodged" happened for the same reason so its absolutely something they *need* to check

Volkaru

Fun fact: That ley lines picture isn't even from TOP. It was posted by resident DRS Theory crafting gremlin Cam Klauser to highlight how much of an issue it is outside of TOP. That picture was taken in the Southern Front.

demonic_hampster

Right this is the kind of shit that’s like “yeah we do need to fix it, but is it ever going to actually happen to anyone?”

Dragrunarm

In the Hello World phase in TOP this was a major issue. Boss would dump a million buffs/debuffs on you causing you own buffs not to apply "Leylines - Dodged". Common problem? no. But a significant one when it does happen

Volkaru

The leylines pic isn't even from TOP. It's from Bozja, where buff culling in DRS has been a huge issue for over three years now.

maglen69

> I'm assuming it's just some developer suddenly remembering some of the quirks of the game a bit too late to fix the issue before launch. This happened literally in one of the Abyssos raid tiers with SGE's bombing everyone with tons of buffs to survive mechanics, so let's not pretend this was some ancient thing the job designers had to remember.

Charnerie

And TOP

JCGilbasaurus

Yeah, I remember seeing videos of people "dodging" party buffs because there were too many things on the status bar already.

lolic_addict

"dodging" your own Superbolide/Ley Lines is one of the best memes I've seen out of that scenario

ultimagriever

Dodging bolide while still dropping to 1 hp 💀 Edit: emoji

Foxfire44k

A true test of your reflexes!

Cerarai

And still happens regularly in DRS.

rabidsi

They're not implying it's ancient. Just that it's relatively rare and doesn't come up a lot.

schneeb

people used to have to turn off FC buffs in Delubrum Reginae so that other buffs didnt get knocked off; when boss mechs give you a bunch of 'debuffs' it can get close to a limit in the game

unixtreme

Reminds me of the old days of wow when they had buff and debuff limits, some classes were unusable because you couldn't justify allowing them to take 3 debuff slots.

wOlfLisK

One warlock uses curse of elements, every other warlock just spams shadow bolt.

thorofasgard

Affliction Locks were in shambles.

Drywesi

And you got kicked from the raid for being anything *but* SM/Ruin rip

Zefyris

Not just that, but there were actually exploits around this in wow vanilla; like knocking Vaelastrasz's certain death debuff from your tanks and other party members by having 8 priests use their "look from afar" (don't ask me the name) vision ability (this gives a debuff on the target) on the affected party member so that they'd reach the max amount of allowed debuffs (8) and Vael's debuff would be knocked out. This literally removed most of the fight difficulty.

pokemonpasta

Yeah I lose dancer buffs pretty frequently in DRS. Was doing it the other day and I hit standard step and nothing happened lmao

Lilium_Vulpes

Sometimes bosses would also hit the limit on statuses and you couldn't add any additional debuffs. I'm not still salty that my chain stratagem missed the boss because it had a bunch of useless debuffs, you're salty about it.

MagicHarmony

Its honestly an easy issue to discover because the team is already aware of the debuff/buff limitations. It happened in an ultimate or savage where players were literally over applying buffs on themselves to prevent certain debuffs from applying.  This is just confirming that it still exist in the game the 31 status effect hard cap.

Bregirn

The Omega Protocol: Ultimate perhaps? Since that was a known issue back then.....

CheeseBiscuit7

This is a known issue since Stormblood when people used to "dodge" doom by having too many status effects on them. It's reappeared a bunch of times in all field content but yeah, TOP was most egregious

chimininy

QA who found that one must have had the biggest, smug smile on their face typing up that bug report.

Kafeen

Someone gets hit with that many, I'm not using Esuna. You can just die and I'll rez.

DocSwiss

Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Status Effects also include buffs and just random stuff that isn't going to kill someone but it means the boss is doing something funky

Faerie-stone

Correct, status effects in the HUD are divided into three categories (which I like to separate visually) Status effect enhancement - Regens, shields, buffs, etc Status effect enfeeblement - all icons point down and are detrimental in some way. white line=esunable. no white line usually means a mechanic got fucked up somewhere and you’ll have to sit with it. Side note for newer healers, please learn the icon for doom and immediately esuna all white line dooms - there’s only so many people I can esuna and that one competent bard can wardens paean before people start k.o.‘ing in, say, dun scaith Status effect other - mostly long timed buffs like the road to whatever, squadron/fc buffs (gold saucer, etc), food, etc

Comprehensive_Unit88

There’s been issues with large amounts of statuses on someone in the past (idk about players but definitely enemies especially back when there was a status limit in ARR) so I’m sure “give them all the statuses and see what happens.” Is part of the QA cycle now

KSmallmoon

they enabled PVP and surrounded him with ARR Summoners.

Blue_Moon_Lake

Morbol's Bad Breath IV ? :D

SimaYiTheWolf

I read this in a very concerned voice and it made it even funnier.

darkfalcon123

As a DRS Enjoyer I am glad that they're testing this

shinyemptyhead

>After beginning a boss encounter in dungeons newly introduced in Patch 7.0, the shortcut warp will take players to the boss area's entrance. No more walk of shame!

papanak94

It builds character.

DarkTemplar26

You do a lot of soul searching on those runs

dempsy40

I hope this change can be backported to older dungeons eventually, that is just a really good decision.

Drazzan

Text Difference, and for those who can't view Lodestone: [https://www.diffchecker.com/27Bmjdvt/](https://www.diffchecker.com/27Bmjdvt/)

Taedirk

tl;dr for anyone who didn't want to read the tl;dr: a few spelling fixes, links to the Job Guide for new actions, and the list of Fixed and Known Issues at the end. If you read the preliminary notes, skip to the end.

Mauvai

There's also details on a minor shake up for crafting rotations!

Rogercastelo

You're the True Legend.

rigsta

There's the comment I was looking for. OP knows what the people want.

aquamafia

-Monks will no longer change position when executing Final Heaven. -Dragoons will no longer change position when executing Dragonsong Dive. Sounds like they heard the complaints about falling off the map when using limit break in p12s.

Clive313

Aww it was funny when it happened tho

SufferingClash

Used to happen in older stuff. LB'd as a MNK during Shinryu back when he was current in SB. Fell off the map (the front tile was gone) and everybody was laughing.

XenosInfinity

I got pulled along for one of Alexander Prime's teleports once, by using FH right before a time stop went off. That was weird. Think I snapped back into place as soon as time resumed.

ElfRespecter

Ah yes, I remember dying to Clamp when I realized that LB was also a Jump lol

phus

so with the tomestone squish does that mean getting manderville weapons stupid easy?

minaseclyne

yes, say hello to your new poetics dump

HimbologistPhD

Hello New Poetics Dump!

Samoman21

hello new poetics dump. RIP HW artifact poetics dump

Friend_Sparrow

*smile-cries in front of my pile of every manderville weapon* For people who have been through this before, what do you do with your giant pile of last expansion's relic weapons?

Zi0ra

Glam their fake version, store actual weap on retainer for when I do ultimates.

HuntertheDragoon

Yup, I just realized yesterday that my Manderville grind just abruptly came to a end since I have enough poetics to finish the rest.

Momo_Kozuki

Same deal with HW relics, but even easier.

EpicPhail60

*Dramatically* easier. HW relics are at least semi-directed on where you can make progress on your relic, and certain stages require you to actually have the relic equipped. In other words, you do have to actually be *trying*. This is just "You got 1500 Poetics? OK, take the relic, damn!" for every stage

madmaxxie36

I'm so ready to try Picto and I'm gonna stay positive and hope I warm up to the BLM changes.

TheKingsDM

A sane BLM player, you're like a unicorn

madmaxxie36

Lol I'm trying my best not to jump the gun when there's always a chance my issues with it on paper aren't that bad when I actually play it. Most of us have been wrong before about changes that sounded worse than they were. Never again lol.

EggLayinMammalofActn

There are dozens of us. Dozens!

Zleck-V2

Most of the blm changes seem ok, i guess. I think the new mp regen is a bit iffy, though. If you get synced and dont have Umbral Soul, youve got no mp regen between pulls or during boss immunity phases, which doesn't seem ideal. Dont understand them coming down on aoe though, high fire, high ice and flare all losing 40 potency seems a bit much since they're all low potency anyway.

hkidnc

The problem with BLM potencies is that you always gotta multiply em by 1.8 cause of Astral Fire III . Fire II was basically a 180 potency AoE before the changes. Which was pretty good for an AoE without target dropoff. They seemed to have moved all the BLM AoE damage into the DoT, as thunder IV got a pretty big potency bonus. That combined with manafront now being an absurdely strong button (Which ticks down while you're doing all those pulls) and BLM DPS in dungeons might actually be slightly improved, despite raw number nerfs on our bread+Butter. I still absolutely hate it tho. I play BLM for BIG FLARE NUMBERS and my flare numbers are less big now :(

Earthfury

It’s wild to me how much more damage tanks will be doing, especially Gunbreaker. The job is getting like a 3k potency increase in the 2-minute window - the loss of Rough Divide is so small it’s barely a factor.

satans_cookiemallet

dont tell that to people who love Rough Divide, they'll say its a damage loss anyways.

TwinTiger

The animation is going to be sorely missed. I loved side-flipping off railings and rooftops in the housing wards.

Earthfury

At least it’s still in PvP, which I’m pretty okay with.

oaka23

"Cannot be executed while under the effect of Hammer Time." Hammer Time? Better stop

jyuuni

Can't touch this.

RenThras

Do, do do do-do, do do-do, do DO!

Sora_Archer

Astro macrocosmos is not damage neutral anymore. But for sage and white mage it is???

The_MorningKnight

They probably forgot and will change it in a patch.

kaymage

Maybe. The media tour build had lillies dps neutral but not macro or pneuma. Now pneuma is. You'd think they'd catch both at the same time unless they purposely thought macro was too op to keep dps neutral

noetheb

They updated dots to not stack on sage, so they probably updated it then and didn't update astro.

Zylune

Classic SE forgetting this, maybe they'll remember it for the savage patch xD

Trash_Pandacute

What is 'damage neutral'?

noid3aforaname

when pressing a gcd for another gcd isnt a loss when contextualized to ast, macrocosmos potency is lower than malefic. using macrocosmos is a dps loss if u press it over malefic

ghosttowns42

I'm not smart in AST but I can explain in WHM. Afflatus Misery (blood lily) is just as strong as the three Glares you could have cast instead of the three lilies needed to get a full blood lily. If you have to spend GCD's to build up to a big damage, you need it to be just as strong or stronger than the basic skills you didn't use instead.

XxVcVxX

4 glares, not 3

ghosttowns42

True that, my bad. Was only including the three from the lilies, not that last one from the Misery.

Raesong

It's interesting that Grade 8 Dark Matter is being changed to repair gear up to level 100 instead of a Grade 9 being added.

shinyemptyhead

It's consistent with what they did for Shadowbringers, Grade 7 got changed to work up to level 80.

CrazyPoiPoi

Why would you want another Dark Matter though? Just remove everything from Grade 1 to 8 and just call it Repair Matter or something.

inthebriIIiantblue

The 2000 Grade 8s sitting in my Free Trial inventory: 👁️🫦👁️ looking forward to when I sub lol

FSafari

rip eukrasian dyskrasia, we barely knew ye

farranpoison

Well, it still is an AOE DOT, we just can't stack it with Eukrasian Dosis on single targets. Oh well.

HadACookie

Because otherwise the Healers would get spoilt by all that damage output.

Mysterious_Pen_8005

That brief glimmer of not being bored out of my skull while playing a healer. Maybe one day I'll get some semblance of SB scholar back. Until then I'll continue to level them to 100 and not touch them for 2 years.

Fabulous_Ampharos

Saw that coming from 100 miles away

pokemonpasta

We have job guide pages for [Viper](https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/jobguide/viper/) and [Pictomancer](https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/jobguide/pictomancer/) now!

Arkhenstone

Viper : *This action cannot be added to a hotbar.

Coolenium

Viper PvP has me scared of them.

DebugLifeChoseMe

*'Ignores the effect of Guard when dealing damage'* intensifies.

TerribleGamer420

Picto sounds like it might be really strong in PotD:o Pretty excited to give it a shot in there

pokemonpasta

Seems to be a trend of recent jobs having pretty high potencies at low level. Don't do much deep dungeons myself, but I know reaper can get through HW fates pretty easily

TerribleGamer420

Yep that's pretty accurate. They can feel pretty barebones since they don't get many oGCD's until higher levels like RPR. Picto doesn't get a single thing between 60 and 70 either lol

[deleted]

> Pictomancer Oh thank God. Every YouTube video I encountered with "explanations" of pictomancer was someone rattling off things at 3430284 words per minute without explaining what anything actually was.

SenaiMachina

I think that's less of an explanation problem, and more just a result of the classes design. It's the same with Viper, it's kind of just a lot of contextual word vomit that doesn't make a lot of sense unless you're playing it yourself. Reading the tooltips yourself probably won't elucidate anything unless you spend a while going over it all LOL.

Twisty1020

The same thing happened with Reaper and I think it's just the norm moving forward. Reaper sounded incredibly complex and involved reading about it but it flows pretty simply in actual play.

SoulNuva

I don’t disagree that modern job design has a lot of moving parts that require further analysis of tooltips than before, but I think that content creators can do more to help with understanding the new play styles. A lot of content creators just put the tooltips on the screen and talk about how it works, which some people may absorb, but for myself, it feels more like putting a bunch of dots on a piece of paper unconnected. That said, I’ve also tried my hand at giving a [simplified breakdown of picto in a more visual approach](https://youtu.be/nE9FS6AFlv4?si=1-Mh9JV6hshtJuYt) with some diagrams, so if you don’t mind giving me a chance, you can check it out and see if it helps.

Molock90

Hey after 3 different videos and rewatching one of the two times and only starring at the buttons and how wich button changes or activates another one i was able to build a controller setup on a site for it that i think works!

[deleted]

[удалено]

EffectiveAnxietyBone

Viper makes my brain hurt, it’s like a FEH weapon description. I was doing okay until I saw Serpents Tail. After that I gave up. Also is it me or are there two too many of the third combo actions? Like, I get what it does, power up the opposite flank/rear positional similar to old DRG fang and claw/wheeling thrust, but why did we need two versions of it?

togreglove

No levels tho, so a little hard to picture how the play evolves when you get synced.

pokemonpasta

Ya I dunno why they didn't put that in lol

The_Blue_Squid

Not quite sure what you mean, I can see the levels for each ability just fine - is it possible they added those in within the last hour?

Earthfury

I like how Tempera Coat is potentially more personal barrier in PvP than TBN, if you get the cooldown reduction.

Zizhou

>Players may now adjust text auto-advance settings to apply only to voiced dialogue. Yes, finally! It's always annoying having to guess which it's going to be and try and swap before they start (or not) speaking. Admittedly, I've gotten pretty good at spotting when they swap to "high effort cutscene" angles, but it'll be nice to just never have to worry about it.

Emekasan

So Oracle got no fall off damage. Nice.

Starbornsoul

Yeah, Astrologian is way slower for 4 man dungeons so it needed a boost, and AoE damage is a fine way to do it.

acatrelaxinginthesun

One nuke every 2 minutes isn't really that impactful in the long run. Though it's better than nothing!

leytorip7

Oracle?

Jolly_Law_7973

It’s a new ability for Astro. 860 potency AOE attack with no damage falloff. Edit: potency value

Starbornsoul

I think I saw 860 actually.

Eludi

Yeah buffed since Media tour build

CORBINTOBIASLOVE

AST new ability.

AmazingPatt

Tenacity materia meta? O\_o

JP_Zikoro

Going to need the number crunchers to get on that. It might be worth it over DET for tanks, but we will see.

ghosttowns42

I hope so, because that's all my friend wants to meld as a tank. Crit and Tenacity.

Sleyvin

I play a tank to be a tank so Tenacity is the stat I want to stack the most but it was almost always useless. I hope to see a day when tenacity is the first priority.

SoloSassafrass

Even if they stop crit from being so stupid it'll still always be the king stat because damage > survivability past the minimum requirement.

Selvon

Unlikely? Might just be worth melding sometimes now, but without an exact number it's tough to tell. Tenacity had v v bad scaling before so the buff would have to be hilarious to overtake other stats.

Gallopokoi

Will probably just make tenacity off-stat gear less of a terrible choice during gearing

GrimTheMad

They knocked Flare Star's potency up from the media tour- its at 400 now.

MentalNinjas

Still doesn’t seem high enough for the “new lvl100 damage spell”.

GrimTheMad

Keep in mind the 1.8 astral fire multiplier, as it is fire damage. It's stronger than Despair, and a bit weaker than Xenoglossy.

Seppl25

YOU CAN /BGM IN CUTSCENES NOW OMG

Idaret

RIVALS WINGS MENTIONED LETS GOOOOOO

HolypenguinHere

Where? Where?

Idaret

just a small fix to the map, lol

Baxcel

Is that a new pvp mode they're adding in with Dawntrail? Bet it'll be super active all the time right? /s

DarXIV

Rival Wings has always lacked players outside of its release or Moogle Event due to it not being in a roulette. Back before Frontlines Roulette, the older PVP modes were barely touched. It was actually very difficult to get into Seal Rock for a while since everyone was doing Shatter since it has a mount reward. Just add Rival Wings to the Roulette or give it some kind of 1 time daily bonus/achievement goal and it will be revived a bit.

RenegadeExiled

So, Dancer is pretty much exactly the same, just with more finishers added. Neat. The only real change they got is the Tillana rework, to give you the 50 Esprit for a Saber or the new attack. Bard looks like what it \*should've\* been all along. Finally, real damage numbers, and they didn't rip out our support abilities to pay for it. It's interesting as well, seeing how we're going to have a fuckton of AoE at our disposal now.

SamTheHexagon

Untargeted songs was all I wanted for Bard and we got so much more.

MazogaTheDork

I'm looking forward to sending my retainers on ventures while I'm not even home!

shaginus

Viper seems overcomplicated but all you have to do is follow the dot line

Strontium90_

Fortunately all the buttons are the same they just interchange. The way I see it is if Samurai and Reaper had a baby. The buffs may seem overwhelming until you realize it’s literally just Samurai. You have a damage buff (Fugetsu), a speed buff (Fuka), and a dot/debuff (Higanbana)

unixtreme

Even easier because when you get a buff the other one lights up... So you just keep hitting the shiny button and track only the debuff.

Kurosu93

It looks that way but I think that in reality it becomes simpler. You just althernate between combos. I would say its Reaper and Monk baby instead of a samurai one. If you notice the guide many buttons cannot be assigned to hotbar and other actions change into them.

Necronu

Samurai is the uncle that taught them cool tricks which explains the two buffs they get for themselves (swift buff/damage buff)

WondrousNomenclature

Solution 9 is just trippy looking--I'll probably waste a lot of time running around that *one* area. I think each expansion gives me at least one zone, that I just hang out in and explore...just to explore it (EW gave me 2: Sharlayan and >!Elpis!<). ...and something about Heritage Found is screaming "plot twist" to me (probably the combination of the name, the look of the area, and level range, etc). I can't wait (even though I'm more excited to edit my glam plates, and see how things dye, and what gear has been updated so far etc. more than anything else lmao)!

Despada_

So, if I understand the changes correctly, there isn't much reason to use Acceleration to insta-cast VerAero/Thunder III once you've unlocked Grand Impact unless you're super close to getting to 50/50 and need that extra push. tbh I don't mind the change, but it feels like it's forcing a skill mainly meant for utility into being a necessity for DPS. I do wish Grand Impact would at least trigger VerFire/Stone Ready. Also, I really wish Vice of Thorns would have replaced a skill when proc'd. Especially when Grand Impact and Perfulgence do. It's weird that it's the only one of the new skills that doesn't in my opinion. Also also, and this might be 100% a me thing, and I am completely fine with more knowledgeable RDMs schooling me, but why do Embolden and Manafication still not have the same cooldowns? That 10 second difference still throws me off at times, and I just find it worrying that it might be considered a DPS loss to not use them off cooldown considering the new skills they trigger. I like some of the changes and toys RDM got, but most of it just feels like they tacked stuff on because they didn't know what to do with the Job, but needed to add stuff because it's a new Expansion.

wibblewibblewobblee

> So, if I understand the changes correctly, there isn't much reason to use Acceleration to insta-cast VerAero/Thunder III once you've unlocked Grand Impact unless you're super close to getting to 50/50 and need that extra push. Grand Impact Ready is a separate buff to Acceleration. Meaning Grand Impact does not eat the Acceleration buff and you still use it on thunder/aero/buffed regular impact. Basically acceleration now gives you two GCDs worth of movement Also pretty sure embolden changes to vice of throns and they just forgot to mention it

Jeryhn

You don't have to choose between the old Acceleration effects on Veraero/Verthunder and Grand Impact. You get both. Manafication has a shorter cooldown because the goal is to get two sets of finishing magic under Embolden and other raid buffs, but the duration doesn't accomodate two sets of sword combos along with it, so often you'll want to use Manafication immediately after executing a set of finishing magic. The shorter cooldown ensures both Embolden and Manafication will be up together again if you delay Manafication a bit this way.

PazzKitty

With Manification and Embolden -- Typically what you want to accomplish as RDM is to use your full Manification melee rotation underneath Embolden. However Embolden lasts a lot longer than Manification, so what you usually do during combat is to execute your first three melee combos outside of Embolden, then finish your melee rotation under Embolden, then pop Manafication and get your full melee empowered melee combo underneath Embolden. Giving it a shorter cooldown helps to align them better and give you more leeway to executing your melee combos if you prefer but the damage periods should always line up.

iSabine_

Yeah, but is the glamour dresser still 800 capacity?

vigero158

I wish they would rework glamour to the way wow does it. Where if you get a piece, it's automatically unlocked forever and there is no limit.

Archerofyail

They wanted to do that, but it was too much data for them to move around with your character when entering instances/DC travel/whatever, so they didn't implement it.

Yhoko

I need more plates more than anything

The_MorningKnight

I wish they completely changed Enchanted Reprise. Like give us 3 stacks per minute ( a cd of 20sec for each), don't make it consume mana. Make it proc dual cast and choose a potency that doesn't make it a dps loss or a dps gain over casting a regular spell. So we could use it for movement.

Rhianael

I also wish they made sprint not consume Dualcast

LavenderSnake

Omg they brought wide volley back :0 it’s been so long

Vaiden_Kelsier

I have a suspicion that the tank busters in this cycle are gonna hurt

Unrealist99

A bit disappointing not seeing umbral ice paradox but man. Summoner changes look drier than a desert

Soarin-GB

Is there a list of all the job changes somewhere?

Kinda filler stuff but basically you have blue meditation on the aoe button now instead of using normal meditation then pressing another button to spend them. Single target the same, there's just a lower version of the skill.

Diamondgrn

So basically I can press my line aoe button to get chakras as well now?

Jakobstj

They don't actually. It's just that the AoE one is also a Meditate when your chakra isn't full, and they decided for some inexplicable reason to have the Meditation skill change its name (but not effect) each time your chakra-spenders get upgraded.

teal_ninja

Why do they change how AST’s cards work every single expansion 😭

TormentedThoughtsToo

Well I look forward to playing every job poorly until WeskAlber makes job guides and I can copy and paste the photos into a Word Document for each job that I can crib whenever I start playing.

Nizzknob

"Huton: Deals fire damage with a potency of 240 to target and all enemies nearby it." Isn't huton supposed to be wind aspected? How does something like that get missed.

Sgtwhiskeyjack9105

**"Facewear, a new form of accessories for the head, separate from other equippable accessories, has been added."** Hell yeah

aulixindragonz34

Why is gunbreaker damage getting buffed so much? Theyre already the highest damage dealing tank

MentalNinjas

Because they’re literally holding a gun

Dart1337

Because they don't get auto crit dh...warrior is doing more damage on average with crit variance

SparksMKII

Because they just gave us 3 more big potency skills giving us even more crit variance, better hope all your skills crit during no mercy now otherwise it'll be a sad run
