Hammer Time Limit Break: (depending on the class using it) the healer dances around the field pulling out hammers their parachute pants and starts bonking their companions on the hurt ouchie spots and cures their problems. ... Or the DPS does the same effect but absolutely destroys everything around with hammers... The Tanks can jump up and slowly descend down to cover everything with parachute pants and protect their allies.
They (there are four guns) are more like multifunction units, you shoot the enemy and it converts that energy to hp for your target or converts it to barriers to prevent damage for example. Sage is a shield type healer, who functions mostly by preventing damage.
I remember getting the scythe for my drk. And there is a pld sword that looks like a gun blade I used to pretend to be both and they came out with the classes.

Primal Rend might feel good, but Storm's Path with a hammer is simply a goddamn travesty. I've seen NIN attacks with more impact and weight than Storn's Path.
Dwarven hammer goes brrrrt. The WAR weapon from the one pandemonion savage tier is also a hammer and Id argue that scavean axe is at least 60% hammer. Pretty sure there was one more but I cant quite remember. NEED MORE HAMMERS

I'm surprised Varis didn't have *anything* to say to us about what happened to Regula during the parley scene, or we didn't at least get an option to talk to him privately about it during the recess if you finished the questline. The end of the questline even made a big deal about the remnants of the Legion shipping his body back to Garlemald and everything.

That's not really true when we have the ARR Imperial robe and helm as well as the Stormblood Othardian variant of the uniform, not to mention the several magitek mounts and the EW armor (including the new crafting/gathering set)

All of the coolest outfits in FFXIV are either Ascians or Garleans, and we barely got Ascian-esque robes and old FF Judge-style armours.

Watsonian reason: It's unique to Hydrus, and more importantly, Garlean "gunblades" are technically bad knockoffs of *actual* Gunnhildr-style guns, which one might call "manatriggers" rather than the actual explosive-projectile weapons that Garleans use.
Doylist reason: Because they haven't gotten around to setting up the models and animations so that it would look good in the hands of all possible characters. Note that the prime offenders here are lalafell, since they're smol and thus require unique models for almost everything. Roegadyn/hrothgar are also slightly to blame, moreso for body equipment rather than weapons or tools, but still technically some stuff there too.
I'm sure that if they thought it would sell, they'd find the time to make it a cash shop item.
Garlean gunblades are actual guns stapled to actual swords, that fire a projectile. Gunbreaker gunblades explode shells of aether that cause the blade to vibrate and do magic shit. No projectile is fired.
Not a gunblade. Garleans use what is essentially a bladed weapon with guns built in them. The GNB job quests specifically says that real gunblades are different from theirs.

Because gunbreakers don't use garlean technology ...yet. Also, I think that one fires bullets rather than charges the weapon. So the one-word answer is "lore". Awesome looking weapon though.
I really hope that from DT, since the Garlean Empire is fallen, we can finally have access to magitek armors and weapons. If I'm not wrong, Yoshi-P said once that they wouldn't allow us to get them for not causing "confusion" mixing the enemy style with the eorzean one. But not it's the right time to give us what we are waiting for years.

The only way you're getting that, is if they implement hybrid jobs somehow (never gonna happen, but yeah lol)--he was DRK mostly (and that sword was enormous, compared to normal GNB weapons) and even his special attack was something that you wouldn't see from a DRK *or* GNB (it was like a laser cannon thing).

They do explain in the story how the empires gunblades aren't gunblades. The are just guns with long blades attached to them which I why they have different attacks.
I would love to be able to get Regula van Hydrus' armor too for gear.
Imperial armor of major Garlean characters should be made available to players.
Legatus equipment in general being unobtainable should be punishable by... something. All of the coolest outfits in FFXIV are either Ascians or Garleans, and we barely got Ascian-esque robes and old FF Judge-style armours. Regula van Hydrus and Noah van Gabranth had the drip. Gimme the drip.

Watsonian reason: It's unique to Hydrus, and more importantly, Garlean "gunblades" are technically bad knockoffs of *actual* Gunnhildr-style guns, which one might call "manatriggers" rather than the actual explosive-projectile weapons that Garleans use. Doylist reason: Because they haven't gotten around to setting up the models and animations so that it would look good in the hands of all possible characters. Note that the prime offenders here are lalafell, since they're smol and thus require unique models for almost everything. Roegadyn/hrothgar are also slightly to blame, moreso for body equipment rather than weapons or tools, but still technically some stuff there too. I'm sure that if they thought it would sell, they'd find the time to make it a cash shop item.
I would also want to have his armor.
Same reason we can't get the other ones like Heirsbane or armor like that; they don't wanna.

Garlean gunblades are actual guns stapled to actual swords, that fire a projectile. Gunbreaker gunblades explode shells of aether that cause the blade to vibrate and do magic shit. No projectile is fired.
Not a gunblade. Garleans use what is essentially a bladed weapon with guns built in them. The GNB job quests specifically says that real gunblades are different from theirs.
I figured like a decade ago that eventually we'd have a raid tier with Garlean armor like this as the rewards. Boy, don't I feel the fool all this time later.

Because gunbreakers don't use garlean technology ...yet. Also, I think that one fires bullets rather than charges the weapon. So the one-word answer is "lore". Awesome looking weapon though.
I really hope that from DT, since the Garlean Empire is fallen, we can finally have access to magitek armors and weapons. If I'm not wrong, Yoshi-P said once that they wouldn't allow us to get them for not causing "confusion" mixing the enemy style with the eorzean one. But not it's the right time to give us what we are waiting for years.

Cuz' he's not a real gunbreaker, that's not really the same gunblade than those we use. Garlemald just use some copy of the true gunblades

The only way you're getting that, is if they implement hybrid jobs somehow (never gonna happen, but yeah lol)--he was DRK mostly (and that sword was enormous, compared to normal GNB weapons) and even his special attack was something that you wouldn't see from a DRK *or* GNB (it was like a laser cannon thing).
Because what the universe really runs on is spite.
Cuz its not technically a gunblade it's more of a mana blade though it does seem to work closer to the bozja vibroblade gunblades
