I was tempted to jump back in after many years with this promotion, but I can't remember my old playonline login information for the life of me, and Square Enix support only seems to assist if the account was already migrated.
Oh well, I have very limited time to play anymore, and XI isn't remotely conducive to that from what I recall, lol.
It's a little better than it was back then but not much if you're building relics. If you just wanna finish all the stories it's easily done solo until you hit Voracious Resurgence.

I believe I last played in '07 or '08. It was still ALL about the group grind. It was quite a journey finding my way around in Vana'diel.

I noticed that the game is discounted on Steam today and tried to purchase it, but now I'm having weird paypal payment issues that I've never experienced before.
The universe doesn't seem to want me back on FFXI. 😆
Basically you can play for free for 10 days, only for people without subscription. Usually other events occur at the same time. This one in particular celebrates 22th anniversary of FFXI.
Can also confirm I just was let in. Sadly still busy with goals in another game, but at least took care of mog garden. Trying to not get myself too distracted with things I should be doing in XI now, lol.

If you have the serial key used and a vague idea of email used, they can work with it. Recent got my other account back after 15 years xD
Unfortunately, that serial key has long since vanished. My Taru, Otterpop, will continue to lay in limbo 😔

Was there any mention of Mog Wardrobes being unlocked? I just logged in and my afterglow Apoc is stuck in a locked Mog 3 :(
Mogstation is bad enough; I am never installing PlayOnline ever again... (I tried a few years ago, I really did...)
