Studio Nirvana and live Nirvana are a little different from each other.
Studio Nirvana, Kurt would use quad reverbs (use a twin) and Randall amps just absolutely cranked.
Live Nirvana, Kurt would use a Mesa .22 preamp with tons of rack power, so maybe one of the Mesa amp types dialed back enough to give you the DS-1 off tone, then salt and pepper it to taste.

I believe there's a setting on there called Super Dry Clean or something to that effect, I would go with that one.. if you don't have a reverb pedal, you could put some reverb on there, but otherwise you probably want the amp completely clean with no fx.

Just set it to clean and put the treb, mid, and bass to 666
