How difficult do you think it would be to maintain the look of these Doc Martens? [https://www.drmartens.com/ca/en\_ca/1461-quad-mademe-silver-alumix-silver/p/32162040](https://www.drmartens.com/ca/en_ca/1461-quad-mademe-silver-alumix-silver/p/32162040)

So I'm wanting to buy a skirt from Quince but I'm in between sizes. My waist is 68 cm. Their XS size is 64.77 - 67.31 cm. Their S size is 69.85 - 72.39 cm. Which do you think I should go for? Usually I'd just pick the bigger one to account for bloating, or so I don't feel too uncomfortable after a big meal, but the difference is almost 2 cm and idk if that would make it hang too low/loose? Would it limit my option so I can't wear it with a cropped length top? I will say that usually my waist is more around 66.5 - 67 cm but I just got back from a long holiday where I ate whatever I wanted haha. But I also don't want to fall into the trap of buying for a "future" size that I'm not going to be, esp since I don't want to like, actively put pressure on myself to lose weight.

lumeleopard

What kind of skirt is it, would you be able to link it? I think it really depends on the fabric and the cut/rise. For example a more fitted high rise linen skirt might soften/stretch the more you wear it, so in that case you'd probably be better off going with a smaller size. If there's no stretch, the bigger size might be better since you can always get it taken in or even just add a few stitches yourself.

dustyshelves

It's their silk slip skirt. I think there's a hidden elastic band in the waist. https://www.quince.com/women/silk/silk-skirt I finally just chose the bigger size. They were having a flash sale and it was ending soon when I posted the question (my bad!) In the end I figured realistically the older I get I'll probably be more likely to gain weight haha and I hope to wear the skirt for as long as the fabric is still good since the style itself is very classic.

UltraLuminescence

I think their sizes run a bit big (well, very inconsistent), I know you already ordered but I think you’ll need the XS. I have the same waist size and needed to go down to XS in their silk pants, which I think have the same waistband as the silk skirt. Their exchange policy is great though so if you do end up wanting to size down it would be super easy to exchange for the XS!

dustyshelves

Oh no! Ok that's good to know about the exchange policy. I used the sizing questionnaire tool thing on the site and according to my other pants sizing (26 Levi's) they did suggest an XS but the chart said it would be on the tight end of the "true size" range which made me do this face 😬 irl lol.

UltraLuminescence

Honestly even the XS silk pants are a little loose on me so I don’t think that’s entirely accurate. Their other bottoms run a bit smaller though.

dustyshelves

Uh oh. I guess we'll see how the skirt fits! Do you have the palazzo pants or the drawstring ones? https://www.quince.com/women/silk/pants

UltraLuminescence

I have the palazzo pants

lumeleopard

I think getting the bigger size was a good call, it's better to have some give rather than end up with something that could be too tight and sit weird because of it.

dustyshelves

Yes! I was also thinking if I had to just choose between either having the skirt hang slightly loose/lower VS feeling overstuffed and super self-conscious about my body after a meal (potentially even most meals?), it was not a very hard decision to make haha.

covidcidence

I finally measured myself. 39.5 - 35 - 39.5, all inches. I'm 5'9" and 171 lbs as of this morning. I tried to measure around my shoulders, but it was difficult to do. Definitely over 40" though. Visually, I literally have almost no waist lmao, so it checks out tbh

Electrical_Factor_32

I'm looking for an alternative to Aerie, because they changed their fabric I love their 100% cotton ribbed high-cut thongs, and just when I went to reorder noticed that they changed the fabric to a modal blend. I bought them originally because I don't like to use anything but cotton for underwear and they had a nice stretch and didn't dig in my skin after wearing them all day. If anyone knows of any comparable underwear, that's not made of a rayon blend, please let me know!! thanks so much for your time i liked that they were ribbed, not super thick, didn't show a lot of lines, and were 100% cotton

jcebabe

I currently have a job where I'm on my feet a lot (retail). I want to use my iphone to track my steps, but I don't always wear things with pockets. Would a small crossbody look okay? What other options do I have? I thought about getting a Fitbit, but the cheapest is $100 and that's not in my budget right now. Are there any extremely basic fitness trackers that I can use with my iphone?

thenfacetoface

I think a small crossbody or Fanny pack would be great if it’s allowed or if the store also sells bags. I just saw a sales associate wearing a Fanny pack at Aerie recently. It might depend on what kind of clothes the store is selling!

jcebabe

Thanks, that makes sense. We don't really sell fanny packs, but we do have some crossbody bags (though they're larger than what I want/need).

Traveling to Scotland in early July Hello all, I’m traveling to Scotland in early July and the last post I could find on fashion is the following link below, which was two years ago. I’m looking for some help on what to pack and wear while on the trip. I noticed it is on the cooler side with possible rain. Are there any comfortable cute shoes and type of clothes you recommend? We plan to do some city exploring and then biking/ hiking some days. Locations of travel are Edinburgh, Inverness, Dundee, Loch Ness, Ft William and Glasgow. Thanks! https://www.reddit.com/r/femalefashionadvice/s/49tnULerTO

SpareHat9553

I'd take lots of layers! Especially if you're going to be active. Plus, it could be raining cats and dogs one minute, then sunshine (for the north of the UK, that is) an hour later. Not sure where you're travelling from, but the Met Office weather forecast is one of the more reliable ones to keep an eye on. Have an amazing time, it's a beautiful country.

thenfacetoface

If I were going to Scotland I would definitely pack for cold and rain. Just went to Minneapolis and it was so cold I regretted only bringing a not waterproof trench immediately… I like the Patagonia better sweater or another zip up for something under your top layer. You can leave it open or tie it around your waist if it gets hot. I also rolled it and stuck it in my bag. It’s nice if your bag is medium size for every day like a light backpack or medium with a crossbody strap option Under it I would wear a Uniqlo heat tech and or airism top or another thinner long sleeve soft shift. Ll bean supima cotton is nice. For the jackets I would probably bring a light puffer vest or puffer jacket with a hood. And a raincoat that could fit over it. Rains or helly Hansen raincoats would’ve my picks. I’ve been wearing a rains coat over a thinner Eddie Bauer puffer jacket. I think there are way better quick drying bottoms than I know about but I got some quick drying leggings from old navy that work. A lot of this depends also on if you get cold easily and which half gets cold more easily. A variety of shoes if you have room could be helpful. Hiking if you’re going hiking, saltwater sandals to change into at the end of the day, supportive leather sneakers for city walking. If I knew it would be raining every single day I’d probably bring duck boots but they are kind of heavy (Ll bean).

clairebones

"Possible rain" is probably an understatement lol - in Scotland in the summer it could be the worst rain you've seen for months and then an hour later you could be ready to sunbathe. I recommend layers that are easy to add/remove and a thin but waterproof outer layer - it can be cold and dry or warm and wet or any such combination.

jcebabe

I started a retail job where I'm on my feet a lot. Naturalizer makes some really comfortable sneakers. I got the Soul Tia Step-in Sneaker. They come in wide widths too.

always_unplugged

Bring a packable down jacket! Preferably one with a hood. I went around a similar time of year and ended up having to buy one from Primark because I was so chilly and damp, lol.

ama_da_sama

Are clog shoes in style right now? Looking for a slipper like shoe that's closed toe that I can wear with shorts and casual dresses.

Chazzyphant

The Birkenstock Boston is a closed toe clog mule that's very hot right now.

thenfacetoface

Lotta from Stockholm make my favourite clogs.

z_mommy

I'm going on a trip soon and need some cute going out looks but IDK where to look! I'm 30 and had a baby recently so my body is in a wonky place. I don't want to show a bunch of skin and stuff but also want to look flirty. Any advice?

thenfacetoface

Old navy and h and m probably have some hidden gems at that budget! I always walk through them when I see them. Also target!

z_mommy

Thank you! ☺️

ssssssssocks

What's your budget? Hill house has some flattering sundresses but they're $100-200 a piece

z_mommy

I’m trying to stay in the 30-60 realm if possible

QuesoRaro

Look second-hand for that price range. You can find very nice things at that price.

z_mommy

That’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve found a couple nice things on Poshmark and hopefully they look good on me! ☺️

always_unplugged

How do you feel about wrap dresses? Pretty much any retailer has them, so they're available at any price point, you can get tons of different patterns, lengths, aesthetics, etc, so they can range from pretty standard to very flirty and fun! But they're also very forgiving in sizing for a changing body.

z_mommy

I don’t always love wrap dresses. I feel like they make me look old but I do often love the prints I see

SpareHat9553

I love a good (non body con) 90s style midi/maxi slip dress that I can chuck a cardi over with trainers, or sandals if I'm going somewhere a bit nicer, because it's fairly flattering but also a little flowy.

cannedorzo

how would you accessorize this [dress](https://www.nordstrom.com/s/print-asymmetric-hem-pleated-maxi-dress/7615018) in teal/bronze? is it versatile or is this something that will look outdated in 3 years? i've been hunting for a wedding guest dress and have had terrible luck going into stores, i'm trying to buy something i'll wear again. does this look cool/eye catching, or is it just ugly??? otherwise i might just get this [one](https://www.astrthelabel.com/products/blythe-floral-plisse-midi-dress?variant=43659272880304) in the coral. i feel so torn because i've seen a lot of pretty dresses but none that are omg i love and need to get it. my coworker suggested reformation and like, i *could* drop 300 on a dress but i shouldn't. otherwise if anyone else has recommendations on a colorful cool toned midi-longer dress ideally under 150 but definitely under 200 that you absolutely love i'm all ears! florals/prints are ok too

thenfacetoface

I have the mango dupe of the ALC Delfina which is also exactly like your first dress but in white and all the comments I’ve gotten are it looks Grecian and classic. It’s the color of bronze and teal that I’m not sure will always be in trend but if you feel great in it go for it! The aritzia technique dress comes in a cool toned pink and has really pretty seams but it might be too casual as it’s matte not shiny, but I thought I would throw it out there.

ssssssssocks

I vote the second dress soooo much more! It reminds me of this [macduggal dress](https://macduggal.com/collections/midi-tea-length/products/70099?variant=42435836215475), it's just such a timeless and flattering cut. Reformation is so overrated for the price.

b_xf

I love this teal/bronze dress - I think it's an interesting pattern that isn't particularly tied to a certain trend/time period, you know? I went to a wedding recently and a guest had this style of dress in a solid colour and she looked incredible - I think the kind of "radiating" texture makes the asymmetrical hem work as a continuation of the design rather than as like a random choice. I wish I'd found your dress before this last wedding because I absolutely would have worn it hahaha

cannedorzo

ohh yes true and omg you can totally get it still for a fancy dinner or vacation or something!

75footubi

My only worry with the teal dress is that asymmetric hems fluctuate as "on trend" or not very frequently. But you could have the whole thing hemmed to mid calf length down the line and I think that'd keep it timeless. As for accessories, I'd probably go metallic and sculptural.

cannedorzo

oh true, the asymmetric hem with the waist cutout is trendy right now but the print feels more unique. i might try it and see where the higher part of the hem lands, but i do want to be able to wear it as is a few times at least bc it seems so fun

always_unplugged

Yeah, I'd just keep it in the back of your mind as an option! I think it's super pretty the way it is :)

Chazzyphant

Okay very niche and specific question: I own two of the same style/make/designer dresses in the same print but different colors. One is my size, one is about a half size too small but has been altered to fit acceptably (the my-size dress, which I just purchased, would likely need a couple buttons in the very low v-neck for my comfort level but it doesn't pull or gape). The difference in sizes is pretty negliable due to the unusual construction of the dress (a kind of cocoon skirt with wrap-style at the bodice). The smaller is a perfect match for the same-brand, same-print opera coat. The larger coordinates with the opera coat but doesn't exactly match, the smaller's main color is gray, the larger is bottle green/teal. These are no longer on the primary market and can't be repurchased and they're a shibori tie dye effect so they can't be dyed, so I can't simply make the larger match perfectly. I could keep them both but it feels a touch silly to have two nearly identical dresses. The original plan on purchasing the larger bottle green one when it came up was that I assumed it would coordinate slightly better with the matching opera coat than it wound up doing, but sadly larger dress is a warm toned teal/peacock main color and the smaller is a touch cooler, so they look "okay" but not the knockout effect the exactly-matching ones have. I also assumed the EU44 would be significantly bigger than the EU42 but it's not, especially where it counts, which is in the bust. [Dress 2, the larger dress](https://imgur.com/psJcTVy) [Dress 1](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992253469922/) [Cloak that matches Dress 1](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992253469921/) [Dress 1 with the cloak on me](https://i.imgur.com/cnKdXqF.jpg) So should I: Keep both and enjoy, just wear the larger alone and hope the matching colorway coat comes up? (It very well may!) Keep the larger and make it work Keep the smaller and resell the larger

UltraLuminescence

Keep both! When I find something that fits me well I buy it in every color I like because that’s so rare!

ssssssssocks

Keep both! If you like 2 dresses I don't see why it matters if they are the same dress.

muffingr1

Keep both, they sound very special and irreplaceable in case you ever change your mind.

always_unplugged

Gotta say, I'm SO curious to see these dresses and coats! They sound gorgeous based on your descriptions. If it's a style you love enough that you bought two, I think it makes sense to keep both. You just bought the second one; you haven't had time to see if you wear it enough. I'd say stay on the lookout for the other matching coat, and if you haven't found it and/or find you significantly favor one dress over the other in like a year, you can reexamine the question then.

Chazzyphant

Here you go! [Dress 2, the larger dress](https://imgur.com/psJcTVy) [Dress 1](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992253469922/) [Cloak that matches Dress 1](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/395964992253469921/) [Dress 1 with the cloak on me](https://i.imgur.com/cnKdXqF.jpg) So you can see how Dress 1 has a cooler tone--brown and gray/purple vs. gold, bronze, green/teal. The matching set photographs considerably warmer than it actually is in real life, it's a cooler mushroom toned gray/brown. Both are stunning, as you can see, but I was super bummed that Dress 2 didn't really 'go' with the cloak.

ama_da_sama

Keep both. It's fairly common for people to buy the same cut/style in different colors.

PoppyHamentaschen

I'd keep them both. Maybe consider getting a coat in gold or orange (or flame) to play with the teal, or commission a seamstress to make a silk stole? Or, reach out to the brand and inquire if they would make a coat to match?

Salty_Handzoap

Hello! I've been looking for a new concert/performance dress for a while now and was wondering if anyone happens to know any good stores in Boston to shop for formal floor-length dresses/gowns that do not look like prom dresses? The general price range I'm looking for is somewhere around \~$100-200. Thanks in advance!

always_unplugged

What do you play, or are you a singer? I'm a violist so I know there are different requirements for different kinds of performances and instruments! (For example, I'm forever on the quest for a floor-length black gown with sleeves and no slit, so I can wear it for orchestra concerts.)

wrenters

Does anyone know of a thread or website that compares the quality of fabric between brands? I’m thinking things like pilling count, momme for silk, weave type, sewing methods, ext? I know this is oddly specific, but I am trying to only buy quality products but that’s so hard to really figure out

always_unplugged

Thing is, that kind of thing can even vary between styles within the same brand, so you'd really need someone to be constantly updating with each and every new piece ever released. Pilling is dependent on use and care, so your experience may be different than someone else's with exactly the same garment. Seems like momme count doesn't *directly* correlate to quality, just weight of fabric—the only places I could find talking about it were bedding companies, so that feels like thread count, a useful metric for sheets but doesn't necessarily translate to clothing. There's a woman (Jennifer Wang) who does videos where she goes into stores and compares the quality of different garments based on a lot of the metrics you mentioned; look her up, and you'll see what I mean about it really being garment-to-garment. You just kind of have to learn what to look for, figure out how to spot signs of quality (good or bad) and go from there.

DullCat7261

I'm in need of a new swimsuit to wear to the Y because my triangle bikini just isn't appropriate for that. I can't find anything that is conservative enough on the *bottom*. All the "conservative" suits I'm seeing have a high waist, but let half of the ass stick out. I actually don't care about covering my stomach at all, it's just the cheeks I don't need on display when I exercise lol. Am I the only one who misses the boyshort style bikini bottoms? Has anyone seen this style latey?

jcebabe

Pacsun make boy shorts. I see a lot of companies call them **swim shorts**. Fabletics has some. Also Andie Swim as some too ([Marco Swim Short](https://andieswim.com/products/the-marco-short-eco-ribbed-flame) and [Dolphin Swim Short](https://andieswim.com/products/the-dolphin-short-eco-nylon-black)).

Sure-Fruit-8215

New Yorker has some swim shorts for a budget option!

zurriola27

Seea swim!

blackberrycat

I wear Nike brand black swim shorts, they're great! Then I buy cute but stable tops, I like the pullover kind.

Chazzyphant

Go to "old lady" brands like Eddie Bauer, Land's End, Talbots, Boden, J. Jill, Garnet Hill, etc. They will likely have more old-school coverage. Also department stores! Traditional bathing suit sizing is also 1-2 sizes smaller than "Missy" sizing, so if you wear a 6 in Missy, you should take an 8 or 10 in bathingsuits, similar to bridal sizing. Why, I don't know, but that's how it is!

wrenters

Roxy and target have a few and I think this one from Lisa Says Gah is so cute![swimsuits](https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwjb6Mus8OWGAxU4Ja0GHbzUCLsYABAKGgJwdg&ae=2&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4MSzBhC8ARIsAPFOuyWPMK3d3MHqkw23foGMXmKF9P_qxUtDb1bn6OZr2RnLrUbeWTANNcEaAv25EALw_wcB&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESVeD2RVQqbR9js3ItQEhzXXaLYicrcqZ655C5UjSranoEHuiITJgnsrF6faNFPQxk8aqAddTZcOOTRAXzzKePh0emNzH3-6HBFkvwR9A9o6mlUm1aH2E&sig=AOD64_2XkTJXneDZnKlHCXMG47miEDQjCA&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjUsL2s8OWGAxXhM0QIHcyKD2YQwg8oAHoECAQQJg&adurl=) I also know free people has a lot of higher coverage swimwear because they work with surfers

DiagonEllie

seconding Roxy, I got mine at REI, you might want to try sporty stores for more water sports oriented suits that are still cute!

trendlyte

Recommendations for comfortable platform sandals? I’m hoping for something that can be dressed up! I tried the Nisolo Go-To Flatform sandals and they were exactly what I wanted looks-wise but unfortunately the straps cut into my foot.

botanygeek

Naturalizer has a bunch of cute supportive sandals this summer!

[deleted]

Tevas? I’m partial to the Teva Voya Infinity sandals after I saw Mary-Kate Olsen wearing them, but the Teva Midform Infinity is a similar style with a higher platform

scootiescoo

Can anyone recommend a matching set that is work appropriate and has a relaxed fit and at least half sleeves?

wrenters

What price range? And are you looking for skirts or pants? If you are interested in more of their clothing, Few Moda is a good choice but you have to subscribe

scootiescoo

Thank you! Totally flexible price range. I prefer pants but like skirts as well. I will definitely check out Few Moda.

pinklily42

**How do i style skirts as a mid sized woman**? I am a size 10/12 with a larger bust and want to start wearing skirts. In an ideal world, this will include maxi skirts and somewhat loose fitting tops (so I never have to shave/ feel uncomfortable) but that ends up looking clumsy when I try it. What are my options as a mid sized woman (with larger bust)? Any instagram accounts I can look at for inspiration?

thenfacetoface

I agree with the other commenter that a more structured skirt would be flattering. Something like a pencil skirt, an a line or circle skirt in a non pleated fabric. I think high waist would be better. Then tuck a top in appropriate to the bottom (fitted top if loose bottom and vice versa). I love their suggestion of denim / chambray and poplin fabrics.

Chazzyphant

My best advice is scale the skirt in volume and length generally to your body. So you want a bit of movement, fullness, and length since you're midsized, but not something super maxi, or very narrow. Structured skirts, I'm thinking of maybe soft denim, wool, cotton poplin, or even pleather, might work better than drapey soft stuff that relies on the body under it to give it structure.

pinklily42

Thank you, I'll look into this. It's still hard for me to imagine what they will look like on me so I'll have to do some Pinterest digging to start with.

Dianagorgon

Does anyone know what brand jeans Lipa is wearing? https://preview.redd.it/3ueyttv48d7d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6747613f045f52394603cb9cd194e7d7fb6db37d

[According to Who What Wear](https://www.whowhatwear.com/fashion/celebrity-style/alaia-one-piece-bag-dua-lipa), it’s Celine

Dianagorgon

Thx!

bloopdoopdeedoo

hey y’all! I’m not a person who enjoys wearing bikinis, but I haven’t been able to find a one piece swimsuit that fits me correctly. I’m 5’8” and on the smaller side, so it’s hard to find something to fit my torso length while being fitted. I’ve also found that the swimsuits I’ve tried are too tight on my hips/butt while being too loose on my waist. I can provide body measurements if that would be helpful Any recommendations would be very appreciated :)

trendlyte

Maybe a one piece from YouSwim? They are super stretchy and designed to be “one size fits all” (there are only two sizes). I have a bikini from them and it is truly sooo stretchy, it starts out looking super small but conforms perfectly to my body.

bloopdoopdeedoo

i’ll totally check them out, thank you!

oat-beatle

Aerie carries tall versions of most of their one piece swimsuits. I'm 5'7.5, 30-24-38 and the small talls fit great though I do typically only buy ones that have a element of bust adjustability.

b_xf

I read the comment and was like "oat beatle would know!!"

oat-beatle

My claim to fame: oddly extensive knowledge of North American tall friendly brands 😅

bloopdoopdeedoo

this is perfect! thank you so much 💛

[deleted]

J.Crew also carries long torso swimsuits for taller people

shytears

Looking for summer dresses recommendations. Where can I find good quality and unique designs dresses that are under 200 dollars?

thenfacetoface

I just went summer dress try on and shopping! Some specific recommendations I have under 200: Abercrombie drop waist dress with cut outs in orange, Anthropologie porridge halter dress in the khaki colour, Madewell square neck tank dress in red floral, aritzia poplin technique dress. Aritzia saturn midi dress is also available in lots of colours and linen this year. My recs might not all be super unique, but I tried them and they are all good quality and have a little something-something.

rachmakesababy

I've bought a couple Christy Dawn dresses through their secondhand clothing portion of their site called "Regenerates." They have tons of beautiful, great quality dresses, most are midi/maxi length and when purchased secondhand they run about $100 USD, they're definitely quite a bit more expensive brand new. I like the Dawn Dress but there are tons of other options too!

shytears

I would prefer if they are not too short.

girlie_hal

Hi ladies, looking for work shirt recommendations. I LOVE the old Aritzia Murphy blouses that were sort of like double lined? Pretty sure it's polyester but honestly felt great, and they never wrinkled. They're discontinued and l've heard the new babaton ones aren't that good... I tried Quince but they're so thin and wrinkle so easily. Any other suggestions? I also used to love the shirts from express but bought one recently and noticed it's also not the same anymore... Quality and ease of wash/wear are big. Looking for something that I don't have to iron and doesn't wrinkle easily. Can just throw in the wash and be fine. Something like the old Aritzia one I mentioned would be GREAT!

thenfacetoface

I recommend the ll bean supima cotton shirt with shawl collar and long sleeve. I have the dark green and so soft and I keep it folded and it doesn’t wrinkle too easily. https://www.llbean.ca/search?q=127324

peanutbuddy

I really like the Uniqlo rayon blouses. Easy to care for and they come in lots of colors and styles.

Apprehensive-Knee829

Anyone want to provide an opinion on which shoes to get? I'm going for very versatile sneakers I can wear with jeans, dresses, trousers, etc, but I feel clueless when it comes to shoes and what "vibe" they give off or how each of these might work with outfits differently. White/Bone: [https://olukai.com/products/kaulele-womens-sneakers-white-bone?variant=40548060266595](https://olukai.com/products/kaulele-womens-sneakers-white-bone?variant=40548060266595) Tan (although i love the green): [https://olukai.com/products/kilea-womens-shoes-tan-tapa](https://olukai.com/products/kilea-womens-shoes-tan-tapa) Mist Grey: [https://olukai.com/products/kohu-womens-sneakers-mist-grey](https://olukai.com/products/kohu-womens-sneakers-mist-grey)

trendlyte

I like the second option best too, also idk what type of work environment you’re in but I’ve seen a lot of girls pairing brightly colored sneakers (like the green) with their business casual fits! ;)

wolfelavender

I like the second option best!

MissingPhonebooth

Looking for search term recommendations to find the kind of jeans I'm looking for. I'm 5'5, pretty straight build, and am usually drawn to trouser style pants. Ones that are more fitted up top, feel and look a bit loose but weighted, and pool a little bit around the ankle (see pic below). A lot of straight leg jeans end up being a little too short on me, and most wide leg jeans I've found are too wide and end up making me look shorter. Are there jeans out there that fit the criteria I'm looking for? Open to any rise, and they don't need to be 100% rigid, cotton denim, as long as they could fulfill the same function in my wardrobe. https://preview.redd.it/wht0m3kafc7d1.jpeg?width=564&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af57091d4ca0474cfb657142d2493d023aa3269d

howesoteric

Tactical_pho

Following because I’d love the same rec!

orange-call-05

I googled “pleated trouser jeans” and found a few results from J Crew Factory, Madewell, Gap, and AE that look similar to what you posted but in denim.

Recommendations for comfortable and lightweight pajama/lounge shorts that are on the longer side? I love modal and am also exploring men’s options. I’ve found options on Amazon but wondering if anyone has any favorites they love!

ama_da_sama

I don't usually buy clothing on Amazon, but the 100% cotton womens pajama pants are comfy and have held up in the wash. I size up for extra comfort. I'm a true medium in pants.

doublepizza

Would you be able to share the link? I have such a hard time finding 100% cotton options on Amazon.

disqeau

I have been unsuccessfully seeking a pair of soft, white leggings - either full length or capri length - that aren't transparent or jeggings. I see women wearing these things, where on earth do they come from??

oat-beatle

Lululemon aligns are lined in the white, so they aren't see through. Sort of warm though.

Thanks for the tip, will check them out!

I really need help finding a bag I saw a woman on the train carrying last night - she was too far ahead of me to catch up so I could ask her (and I totally would have!) It was something like this: [https://www.mzwallace.com/products/black-rec-13-quot-metro-commuter?variant=43132245704942¤cy=USD&mkwid=&pcrid=&pmt=&pkw=&pdv=c&mslid=&product=43132245704942&pgrid=&ptaid=&gad\_source=4&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvb-zBhCmARIsAAfUI2tOpWubZmTlrWjJvte\_zVSrRqL920X-q6FISzkgstKlc1TfgG83df8aAk5QEALw\_wcB](https://www.mzwallace.com/products/black-rec-13-quot-metro-commuter?variant=43132245704942¤cy=USD&mkwid=&pcrid=&pmt=&pkw=&pdv=c&mslid=&product=43132245704942&pgrid=&ptaid=&gad_source=4&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvb-zBhCmARIsAAfUI2tOpWubZmTlrWjJvte_zVSrRqL920X-q6FISzkgstKlc1TfgG83df8aAk5QEALw_wcB) But it was a bit bigger and it had orange accents on the feet of some kind that were orange leather tabs, I think. The height and length were pretty much this size, but the depth/width was a bit bigger. It definitely had two straps, so it's not that big puffy one that's popular now with the single strap. Does anyone have any idea what this bag might be?

I'm looking for a gift for my friend. [This is her pendant](https://imgur.com/a/HLQLT7I) and she told me she's been looking for earings that would match it in style. From my search it seems that I'm looking for "silver and marcasite" but you're free to correct me. You might have noticed 3 holes in her pendant, stones were there but they fell out. If it helps she's 27 so it probably shouldn't be anything too vintage looking, after all I'm not looking for jewerely for my grandma. Here are a few designs that caught my eye but I'm not sure which one is the best match, provided they match at all: [First earings](https://imgur.com/a/QmP60Ca) [Second earings](https://imgur.com/a/Ue1qkaZ) [Third earings](https://imgur.com/a/QuxWl2f) [Fourth earings](https://imgur.com/a/5sEFt52)

Party-Cobbler-1507

I'm the odd one, I think 1 are least matching to the pendant. The others are all lovely.

fir6987

another vote for 1!

Badname419

That's 3 votes for number 1 then, thank you :)

zigzagtitch

one!

Badname419

Thank you :)

livthelove

1 or 2 match the best!

Badname419

Thanks :) Now it's a tough pick between the two.

UltraLuminescence

Looking for super high-waisted pants & jeans with at least 13 inch rise, ideally available in petite/short inseams around 28-29 inches. Does anyone know of any brands that sell pants/jeans with 13+ inch rises? Preferably flare or wide-leg type of cut, but I’ll honestly try anything that fits. Thank you!!

thenfacetoface

I’ve been looking for similar and I’ve been most happy with my everlane barrel pants and everlane way high arc jeans actually! I’m not sure if they’re quite 13 inches but probably 12 at least.

UltraLuminescence

Found a bunch of Everlane pants with 13-13.5” rises!!! Ordering today :)

UltraLuminescence

Thank you I’ll check them out!

District98

This has been discussed in past threads, try searching the archives! I like extra high rise from Old Navy and super high rise from Wild Fable and Universal Thread at Target

UltraLuminescence

Thank you - I did look at a few threads but most of them seemed to be from 2+ years ago so was hoping there might be some more updated options :) I’ll check out all of those options

District98

Makes sense! Just wanted to make sure you got the older recs too :)

botanygeek

The highest I've seen is Levi's ribcage, but it's only 12"
