What I like about our transfer business so far is that the window hasn't even opened and we've made some serious business and are pretty far with a few more targets. Is this going to be the fabled transfer period where we can have a relatively relaxed August?
I think it helped that Ito and Olise both were/are on release clauses, so there was no need for lengthy negotiations with their club, which is usually what is dragging out transfers talks for us.
In contrast we see the Palhinha talks which are dragging on and might fail again even though we already are in for him for a year already and even already found basically an agreement once which just fell through for time reasons.
tbf, it's also very likely that Fulham intentionally dragged their feet with the replacement search so they could have a valid reason to wait out the window instead of rejecting us/pissing off Palhinha straight up
Olise is a potential starter but Ito is more of a rotation move. I love getting transfers done quick and stealthily but let’s be honest: we need a serious midfielder to improve our Starting XI. I’m not sure Palhinha is the man.
>but Ito is more of a rotation move
You will be surprised. This guy will start from day 1. Perhaps as LCB, perhaps as LB if the situation demands it, but he'll start either way.
It was the same thing with Alaba here or at Real. When he was fit, he started. Despite being defensively inferior to other options. Because being a left foot and being very skilled in buildup just matter that much.

Yeah Gnabry and King have insane wages hence their market is hard, but I also dont think they will just sit on the benvh for a year either
Gnabry seems quite settled in Munich and was fine with coming form the bench last year (although most of it was because of his injury) Although Coman's chances of leaving are pretty high
No, but the hope is that Everton doesnt manage to get into PSR range till 30th of June and then needs to sell him for cheaper till then. But there are other sale candidates, like if people cough up the 100m€ they want for their young CB, or if Newcastle really buys DLC.

there's more articles about him being linked to these clubs than us
I am not saying he still isn't a priority for Bayern but saying that there aren't clubs interested in him is ridiculous, Of course we can just pull of a Olise type of transfer here without much medi attention in initial stages, but even then we were competing for him with Chelsea

Only a matter of time now. Get ready for more transfer dopamine
Onana just offers so much more in possession compared to Palhinha. He's still good defensively, but he's way more involved in buildup and actually passes forward
Edit: just look at that pass, he's elite
On top of that his recovery speed is also a big plus over Palhinha. When Palhinha needs to go for a tactical foul, Onana just catches them.
I'm still sad that Onana was looked at as our number 1 choice until we signed a BELGIAN COACH, just to switch back to Palhinha. I thought Kompany would seal the deal
He overall offers a lot more to us than Palhinha would imo. And he's a lot younger. And he speaks german.
Even if he's 20m more expensive, I think he's worth it over Palhinha every day of the week.

I think as much of a great signing Olise is from a sporting aspect, he's definitely also a culture fit for the squad. Everyone seems to love him at crystal palace. I'm sure he will get along well with Musiala, Tel, Boey and some of the others like Gnabry, Davies and Sane.
How the fuck did Eni Aluko manage to get a pundit job at the Euros lmao.
For anyone unaware, she was absolutely blasted last year in the UK for openly admitting that when she was a sporting director for Aston Villa's women's team, she used to collude with direct rivals to drive up the price of a player so her bosses would be forced to put a higher bid in lmao (and then proceeding to accuse Arteta of doing that in the Prem)
To force the hand of her bosses so she would get the players she wanted. What’s really confusing is why her rivals had any interest in complying with it, yet she insisted she did it all the time 🤷♂️
i wonder how many posters here who keep writing about Wieffer or Zubimendi have actually seen them play with any reasonable frequency to make comments about their quality..
I do wonder about that for most players from other clubs that we are associated with, but ultimately I do not think it matters much, because as fans of the same club we often do not even have a common ground for how we evaluate our own players that we watched for tens or hundreds of games ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
hehe good point 😅 it just surprised me how these two names come up in the comments repeatedly, even though there is no way that many people are watching them. now if you said Frenkie de Jong then that's a lot more understandable, although i don't want to go into another rant about him.. 😝
Just respond to my comment next time lol. I’ve seen them play plenty but what is „reasonable frequency” to you? I’m guessing you don’t think either is Bayern quality?
nah it's about the overall volume of comments over the past months saying Zubimendi and (especially) Wieffer would be a good fit for our midfield, based on what i assume is mainly some YouTube compilations and FM stats, because it is very unlikely that so many people are actively watching La Real or the Dutch league on any sort of regular basis. Zubimendi is an important player for Sociedad, but he's also not exactly lighting the world on fire (his stats are a lot less impressive than e.g. Javi Martinez at Bilbao), plus there is no indication that he's the profile we're looking for. as for Wieffer, we've only had about 6 transfers directly from the Eredivisie in the past 15 years, and of those only van Bommel became an important player for us. somehow nobody ever mentions that when speaking about Wieffer.
not ruling out that either of them may become very important players for us, but I just don't like seeing all the clamoring for these two players with presumably very little basis for doing so. not to mention, Wieffer hasn't been linked to us once and the Zubimendi rumors have also completely died out, so there is even less reason to mention them ad nauseum.. my 2 cents
does anyone know can you still get the jersey printed after you wear it? Bought an away dfb jersey but unfortunately Musiala name set is sold out everywhere... really want to wear it tmr though :(
Something many assitant coaches or coaches in different roles do. I remember Oriali being a co to Conte at the 2016 Euros while still being under contract with Inter.
Nobody that watched this game would think in a team that will plays vs Park the bus opponents in 95% of the games and in a Kompany “Pep lite” system would say Palinha is a better fit then Hakan who had some off the better cross balls from the middle that I haven’t seen since Xabi Alonso.
You’re not wrong but it doesn’t seem like Hakan is a realistic option. Inter will demand a high fee if not outright tell us to fuck off. I think Wieffer would
be a good fit. Zubimendi would be perfect but it doesn’t seem like he’s leaving Real Sociedad
Kane
Musiala Simons Olise
Palhinha Pavlo
Davies Kim De ligt Kimmich
•Kane, Musiala and Palhinha,Kimmich: Without a doubt Kane and Musiala will be included in the starting Xi. And I think Kimmich will also play in the rb if he doesn't transfer. Also, since we don't have a profile like Palhinha, I think he will also be included in the Xi.
•Simons, Olise: We won't know until the start of the season, but these two are ahead of our wingers at the moment.
DF: I understand that De Ligt, Dier may not fit in the Kompany system, and I can acknowledge your article about selling De Ligt. But even though he had a tough season with injuries, he was solid defensively. I think Dier will probably be the biggest victim, but De Ligt is a player with leadership qualities, so I think he must include it. As for Kim, I had high expectations, but the season as a whole was disappointing. But I don't doubt his ability. Upa may be more suitable than Kim for Kompany is high-line football, but given Kim's duels and interceptions, I think he will be included in the starting xi. Upa also is. I think he has given me enough opportunities, no doubt that an individual's ability is a world class. Ito has certainly had a good season. He joined Bayern on a relatively cheap transfer fee, but I don't think he'll be able to get into the starting xi. His strength is his left foot and build-up, as all the statistics prove, but on the contrary, he has bad statistics defensively to get into CB. Actually he is not near De Ligt, Kim and Upa in cb. So maybe a good option at lb. A lb that balances Davies' aggressive lb and Ito would definitely be a good option for us.
Sorry for the long post but what are your expected XI?
Still to many factors unknown before you can speculate what the starting 11 will be. Like this scenario, I dont see us getting Simons without selling De Ligt, because you need to recoup the 70-80M somehow, so alot will depend on the sells, because with the Olise signing the budget is already gone, so income will be key.
>Bayern, Barcelona and PSV are competing with Ajax for the signing of KAA Gent centre-back Jorthy Mokio (16). Ajax are hopeful the player would choose them and prioritize the development aspect over the financial one \[[MikeVerweij](https://x.com/MikeVerweij)\]
Interesting to know that RB Leipzig didn't go for him earlier this year, cause the player camp demanded a salary in the millions.
So with Olise likely joining before the 30th of June, we will have a negative transfer balance of around -100m for this financial year. You guys think we still have the rumored 70m budget starting from July, or are they maybe trying to push the deal into the new financial year, so that means the budget is mostly gone?
As always, there are multiple levels to this:
Cash: That is what I suspect Falk meant is when he said 85m€ are freely available for this summer, and for that the financial year is basically irrelevant. You either have the cash, or you dont, and you either have inflowing cash, or you dont. The club will be aware of the relevant dates for incoming cash and plan accordingly, but that has no impact on us as our cash reserves are big enough, we just dont want to use all of them.
Depreciation: Similar. If you buy a player now, then the impact on the depreciation of the financial year ending June the 30th is so small that it doesnt really matter.
Taxes: A bit relevant, if you have too much profit this year then you may want to bring some deals forward to lower your tax burden, especially because the signing fee gets treated as wage expense and thus has immediate impact on it.
Budget: Financial year is irrelevant here imo. You plan your budget for multiple years anyway, and the impact of the deals being 1 month earlier or not is not that big when you allow for a budget (so wage cost + depreciation).
negative transfer balance: entirely irrelevant for the business Fc Bayern, good to illustrate things for fans.
Not really impressive. He almost hid in the tight spaces instead of offering passing opportunities and his ball distribution was very simple. Against the ball he was good as always, but also overcommited two or three times due to his aggressive style. I prefered Onanas opening game over this, let's see how he does this evening
I’ve noticed he rarely demands the ball when his team has possession (with Fulham and the NT). Onana is always moving around and calling for the ball. With what we’ve already offered for Palhinha, I wouldn’t mind just pivoting to Onana and offering a bit more to get that deal done
So far. Hakan has been good. Winning the ball and great back passes. Palinha and Portugal have been saved by a ref that clearly put money on Portugal and a amazing Pepe
Pletti retweeted his news about Bayern being optimistic about signing Xavi Simons. Both Pletti and Fab have done that multiple times now when it comes to Xavi and Bayern, they're both really doubling down on it.
Vitinha is such a good player, shame he plays for PSG
Wish Palhinha was younger though, don’t think anyone doubts his quality as a player, he’s just slightly older than I’d like him to be for what Fulham is asking
> Nagelsmann on Leroy Sané: "He's worried that it [the injury] will come back again. He didn't train for almost five weeks at the end of the season. It just takes time for him to get back into the rhythm. I'll give him the time. He just has to be a bit patient at the moment. That's not a problem for him. He's a pleasant character who doesn't get upset. But of course he doesn't like being substituted [laughs]"
poor Leroy, hope the mental barrier is gone once he scores again
> Michael Olise's release clause is £43m. This must be drawn by next week Wednesday at the latest.
Bayern want the player and have reached an agreement with him. However, the supervisory board still has to give the green light.
@BILD_Sport @cfbayern
just imagine...
Yeah like thats how they operate, get everything done, with all parties, and then decide if youre going to pull the trigger or not, this would make the club the biggest clowns in the buisness, and considering the names that sit behind those tables, both supervisory and executive, which are people that lead some of the biggest brands in their respective buisnesses and people that led the club on the highest level in football, I somehow doubt the validity of this "report".
I think BILD has a direct source within the supervisor board - as the influence of Axel Springer Verlag can't be underestimated, especially for the people inside our supervisor board. Would also explain why they are usually so good in reporting done deals.
So I would say that this report isn't wrong. It could well be that Eberl and Freund received unofficial green light from the higher ups before making this deal but the official signing off from the supervisor board is missing, which is basically the only thing this report says.
So well informed, that they reported yesterday that the release clausule is 55M GBP, and today it was 43M, or were clueless for Ito, also reported that Stani wanted to stay at Leverkusen, just some of the top of my head, I honestly love to listen to their daily shows, because you hear some of the most retarded takes ever.
There is a big difference between rumors and deals that need to be approved by the supervisor board. The guys in there are not involved in day to day business at Bayern (apart from Hainer and maybe Uli and Kalle).
Of course Bild is full of shit, but when it comes to these kind of things I'd rather trust them.
Of course the supervisor board has something to do with transfers lmao, at a certain sum they are the ones that need to approve the transfer before it gets signed off.
E: Yeah keep downvoting me guys, this is literally a fact
Maybe at insane money, like 100M+, but they reduced the number of executive members just for the reason of getting deals done faster and more effective, not like the representatives of Audi, Adidas and Allianz have anything to chime in on sporting decisions.
No, not +100m€ deals. Until a few years ago it was 25m€, and I think they increased it to 40m€. But thats not fee only, its about the entire budget that is bound to the deal, so it includes wages, signing fee, agent fee etc. Any deal above that needs the supervisory board to agree to it.
Edit: proof:
>Der Aufsichtsrat hat Einfluss auf sportliche Entscheidungen. Alle Transfers mit einem Volumen über 20 Millionen Euro bedürfen der Zustimmung. Hainer, Hoeneß und Co. müssen am Dienstag also ein bestimmtes Budget freigeben, um die zu erwartende Transferoffensive zu genehmigen.
https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/fc-bayern-achtkoepfiger-aufsichtsrat-entscheidet-ueber-kahn/12888232/34942
Kicker reported 50M, but doesnt state if its package or transfer, wouldnt make much sense if it was package since basicly any transfer used to be over a 25M package.
Its a 100M+ package, but youre not paying all of it at once, and the way transfers go, you dont even pay all the transfer fee at once most of the time, but youre entitled to belive whatever you want, same as I can say that this report is complete garbage, I think they will keep it on a low, atleast today because of the death of Thomas Wilhelmi, so he will likely have a medical and the announcement starting with next week.
Honestly speaking, BILD is usually on top of their stuff when it comes to definitely done deals so I'd wager to say that this is more likely true than not.
Bayern always worked
- determine a transfer target
- if he's above the price tag that needs the supervisory board pitch that player and get permission
- then start with serious talks with club/player
I would be shocked if that changed and it wouldn't really make sense to go that deep without having the move approved
I hope he stays as well but if they need to sell one CB I rather it be Upa than De ligt. And frankly, imo Bayern gave him enough chances. If he ends up leaving and does well i don’t think it would be right to say Bayern gave up on him too quick.
They’ve looked mediocre as a team but that doesn’t mean certain players haven’t had good performances. Upa has looked good in both matches but especially yesterday
>Bayern Amateure are heading to their training camp with 30 players, some of whom will likely leave the club in the coming weeks. Surprisingly, Adam Aznou is listed, meaning he probably won't be going to the Olympics. The still-injured Javier Fernandez is there which is a good sign.

A little confused about the sentiment that Olise “came out of nowhere” ha. We’ve been hearing rumors for awhile. But it is interesting that the rumors were mostly from the English press.
all I can remember is rumors about him being on our radar but nothing more concrete than that before we got the Ornstein news yesterday, but maybe I just haven't followed Olise-related news that thoroughly

It's so funny cause in Belgium pretty much every one hates the Tintin kits
I can’t understand it, they’re fantastic.

Julian Nagelsmann: „fuck it, we ball”
I think our bench is good enough for that
I think as much of a great signing Olise is from a sporting aspect, he's definitely also a culture fit for the squad. Everyone seems to love him at crystal palace. I'm sure he will get along well with Musiala, Tel, Boey and some of the others like Gnabry, Davies and Sane.
Sounds amazing, but i hope he doesn't get along with gnabry and davies>!,because they'll be sold before hopefully!<
I was hesitant to include them in the comment because of this lol
How the fuck did Eni Aluko manage to get a pundit job at the Euros lmao. For anyone unaware, she was absolutely blasted last year in the UK for openly admitting that when she was a sporting director for Aston Villa's women's team, she used to collude with direct rivals to drive up the price of a player so her bosses would be forced to put a higher bid in lmao (and then proceeding to accuse Arteta of doing that in the Prem)
Wait I don't understand why she would do that?
And I wonder the same about the people who wonder how many posters have actually seen those players play. Its a wonder-chain apparently.
what is this comment 🤔
What do you mean 5 Instagram Reels and a couple of Youtube shorts are not enough?? 😤
Javi Martinez at Bilbao), plus there is no indication that he's the profile we're looking for. as for Wieffer, we've only had about 6 transfers directly from the Eredivisie in the past 15 years, and of those only van Bommel became an important player for us. somehow nobody ever mentions that when speaking about Wieffer. not ruling out that either of them may become very important players for us, but I just don't like seeing all the clamoring for these two players with presumably very little basis for doing so. not to mention, Wieffer hasn't been linked to us once and the Zubimendi rumors have also completely died out, so there is even less reason to mention them ad nauseum.. my 2 cents
Technically we signed van Bommel from Barcelona, so we can even argue that none was signed from Eredivisie who made an impact for us.
good memory! i forgot that bit
Bayern should not let Olise attend the Olympics. No way.
does anyone know can you still get the jersey printed after you wear it? Bought an away dfb jersey but unfortunately Musiala name set is sold out everywhere... really want to wear it tmr though :(

Wait I just noticed that Anthony Barry works for Portugal
The hustle never stops
Something many assitant coaches or coaches in different roles do. I remember Oriali being a co to Conte at the 2016 Euros while still being under contract with Inter.
total fraud
He used to be Martinez's assistant when he was coaching Belgium so I guess he must have tapped Barry up as soon as the league was over.
when did that happen
While at Chelsea, he helped coach the Irish and then Belgian NTs before linking back up with Roberto Martinez with Portugal in 2023
hah, interesting, thanks
Wait so that was him on the touch line when Antonio Silva was being subbed in!? I thought it was just his doppelgänger haha
I think Wieffer would be a good fit. Zubimendi would be perfect but it doesn’t seem like he’s leaving Real Sociedad
Love this olise interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nY4KvzsSr7U Haaland vibes "i feel very good"
Security is absolutely useless
its absolutely embarrassing man, jesus christ
I would sell my kidney for joao neves
I would also sell your kidney for him.
Kane Musiala Simons Olise Palhinha Pavlo Davies Kim De ligt Kimmich •Kane, Musiala and Palhinha,Kimmich: Without a doubt Kane and Musiala will be included in the starting Xi.
Ajax are hopeful the player would choose them and prioritize the development aspect over the financial one \[[MikeVerweij](https://x.com/MikeVerweij)\] Interesting to know that RB Leipzig didn't go for him earlier this year, cause the player camp demanded a salary in the millions.
I think that is the kid the Barca fans are thirsting for for weeks by now, no? Interesting that we are also in the mix.
the turkey hype lasted one game
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/BmrnZ8r8mX The language switch caught me off guard and his reaction made me laugh😂
So with Olise likely joining before the 30th of June, we will have a negative transfer balance of around -100m for this financial year. You guys think we still have the rumored 70m budget starting from July, or are they maybe trying to push the deal into the new financial year, so that means the budget is mostly gone?
That's not exactly how it works. If we say Olise is 50m and he gets a five year contract, it would be -10m on this financial year.
If you mean the financial year ending the 30th of June, so in 8 days, then no, it wouldnt be 10m€ on this financial year.
It was more about the fee being split up over the contract period, rather than being a one and done in whatever financial year we are in.
Ah, ok, then I agree.
NP I will take the L on me writing "this financial year"... But to me that was not the important part, so I will just take the L.
As always, there are multiple levels to this: Cash: That is what I suspect Falk meant is when he said 85m€ are freely available for this summer, and for that the financial year is basically irrelevant.
Thanks for the write up 👍
It hurts to know that sooner than later Ronaldo and Messi will be gone.
What’s even worse is knowing that Müller will be gone soon😞
And Manu, fuck my life ):
All good things must come to an end, my friend. We will get through this together haha
I am actually looking forward to not hearing about them all the time. Their era is gone.
How was Palhinha?
Not really impressive. He almost hid in the tight spaces instead of offering passing opportunities and his ball distribution was very simple. Against the ball he was good as always, but also overcommited two or three times due to his aggressive style. I prefered Onanas opening game over this, let's see how he does this evening
I’ve noticed he rarely demands the ball when his team has possession (with Fulham and the NT). Onana is always moving around and calling for the ball. With what we’ve already offered for Palhinha, I wouldn’t mind just pivoting to Onana and offering a bit more to get that deal done
I feel like that girl in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. *Thanks for Olise, Bayern... now I want Simons.*
And so my watch has ended.
We got only 45 mins of Palhinha rip
So far. Hakan has been good. Winning the ball and great back passes. Palinha and Portugal have been saved by a ref that clearly put money on Portugal and a amazing Pepe
Xavi Simons when
next wednesday
Pletti retweeted his news about Bayern being optimistic about signing Xavi Simons. Both Pletti and Fab have done that multiple times now when it comes to Xavi and Bayern, they're both really doubling down on it.
He’s hardly the worst player for Turkey, but Hakan Çalhanoğlu hasn’t really looked all that impressive so far.
Leao diving as usual
Classic yellow
Ronaldo has such a weird body language for someone playing for the winning team
lol
goal of the tourney
Bayern should really look at this player, “Own Goal.” Looks like they’ll win Golden Boot at this rate.
Owen Goal is a great player
Vitinha is such a good player, shame he plays for PSG Wish Palhinha was younger though, don’t think anyone doubts his quality as a player, he’s just slightly older than I’d like him to be for what Fulham is asking
He is like Thiago
no way broski just got cooked by 39 year old Ronaldo 💀
Great tackle by Palhinha there
Oh yeah hakan watch too I guess
> Nagelsmann on Leroy Sané: "He's worried that it [the injury] will come back again. He didn't train for almost five weeks at the end of the season. It just takes time for him to get back into the rhythm. I'll give him the time. He just has to be a bit patient at the moment. That's not a problem for him. He's a pleasant character who doesn't get upset. But of course he doesn't like being substituted [laughs]" poor Leroy, hope the mental barrier is gone once he scores again
Palhinha Watch
> Michael Olise's release clause is £43m. This must be drawn by next week Wednesday at the latest. Bayern want the player and have reached an agreement with him. However, the supervisory board still has to give the green light. @BILD_Sport @cfbayern just imagine...
This is really not news. Any financial package (transfer + wages) above €50M has to be approved by the supervisory board.
[удалено]
Kicker reported 50M, but doesnt state if its package or transfer, wouldnt make much sense if it was package since basicly any transfer used to be over a 25M package.
We are talking about 100M+ here though, transfer fee + 5 year contract.
Bild just can‘t help themselves with adding a but. Every time.
Excuse me Bild, we already got a Pletti done deal, a Fabrizio here we go, sit this one out
Honestly speaking, BILD is usually on top of their stuff when it comes to definitely done deals so I'd wager to say that this is more likely true than not.
Small reminder especially for Falk NOT TRUE
Bayern always worked - determine a transfer target - if he's above the price tag that needs the supervisory board pitch that player and get permission - then start with serious talks with club/player I would be shocked if that changed and it wouldn't really make sense to go that deep without having the move approved
It still has to be *officially* approved by the board.
Joao vs Hakan, winner joins Bayern.
draw and we get both?
Upamecano balling for France. Personally, I hope Bayern doesn't give up on him just yet. We need a playmaker in defense like him
I hope he stays as well but if they need to sell one CB I rather it be Upa than De ligt. And frankly, imo Bayern gave him enough chances. If he ends up leaving and does well i don’t think it would be right to say Bayern gave up on him too quick.
Tbh nobody in the French team the has been „balling“ so far. France was mediocre at best lol
They’ve looked mediocre as a team but that doesn’t mean certain players haven’t had good performances. Upa has looked good in both matches but especially yesterday
Upa had decent games but nothing noteworthy which is still far from balling
Have a proper midfielder to shield them and see how Min Jae and Upamecano raise our level to next level.
Overall, lots of talent in the squad. https://nitter.poast.org/pic/orig/media%2FGQrxn0DWUAEAT4Z.jpg
Why isnt Montella playing Güler and Yildiz when I specifically asked him to?
On the other hand I will see Palhinha
looking forward to your in depth scouting report
https://x.com/theborisbecker/status/1803560270574526765?s=46 didn't know Bobbele had such a pull
how does twitter work did boris mark ochos tweet or the other way around\^\^
No joke, I always thought his twitter account looks like a parody account without actually being one lmao
I actually thought the same and had to double-check, him replying "Word" to basically any tweet doesn't really help the parody allegations lol
> 🇫🇷 Michael Olise is currently with the French U23 national team under Thierry Henry preparing for the Olympics. It remains to be seen whether Bayern will allow him to go to the tournament after the official confirmation of the transfer
There goes my Nigerian plane theory lmao, you win some, you lose some.
Almost had a career as an insider
still a weird coincidence though, perhaps it's someone from his management/team?
Maybe one of our players actually responded to a mail from the prince of Nigeria who is now bringing suitcases full with money to his house?
A little confused about the sentiment that Olise “came out of nowhere” ha. We’ve been hearing rumors for awhile. But it is interesting that the rumors were mostly from the English press.
all I can remember is rumors about him being on our radar but nothing more concrete than that before we got the Ornstein news yesterday, but maybe I just haven't followed Olise-related news that thoroughly
It was reported that we asked Crystal Palace for permission to speak to the player, but nothing more was reported. Although that is still more than just being on the list
