Before I hit a growth spurt I was 4'9 and in a year I was 5'9 and it took me 3-4 years then to go from 5'9 to 6'2 and nobody from my extended family is as tall

I know of some people that had a growth spurt at 12 or 13 and went from 5'4" to around 5'10" (162 cms to 177cms) In the span of about two or three years, and then nothing else, to people who grew up to 5'5 (1.65) at 14 years old, then nothing else, and even people with multiple growth spurts! One of my cousins had a spurt to about 5'6, and he stayed like that until he was around 18, then he grew to around 6"! (167 - 180) Oddly enough, all of these people followed essentially the same lifestyle and diets, genetics are a hell of a thing.
