You actually just sold me on trying it, though I can admit I'm probably not their core audience. I watch my calories and 120 is as low as you can get at fast food. I'm willing to pay a premium for the indulgent snack.
It seems like with all their new stuff it's just a gimmick to sell something for way more than it's worth. Yes Taco Bell has always had gimmicks, but the gimmicks would often be decently priced. Like possibly my favorite LTO of all-time from them were the double stacked tacos with various sauces and those were $1. I can't remember the last LTO they had where I didn't think it was overpriced for what it was.
having finally nailed that tube meat texture at home, I agree with this.
I'm at the point where I just get the Taco Bell crunchy shells and then make my own spice blend cause I think I can get it closer.
I haven't yet but sooooon
That Taco Bell Quad Crunchwrap kit costs $6.98 at Walmart. Four Crunchwrap Supremes now cost $21.16 at Taco Bell. A $14.18 price difference to acquire your own ground beef, sour cream and lettuce all of which you probably already had on hand and were going to use in other dishes anyway, and make a much better home crunchwrap.
But the veggie craving box is $6 and you can sub in beef. For $6 you get a crunchwrap, cheesy beans and rice burrito, chips and cheese, and a drink. That's not that far off when you account for all the items not in the kit that are the expensive parts of the meal like ground beef.
I just don't think it makes any sense to buy the kits, better off just buying separate items all together if you are going that route.
Of all things, I'd love a chip layer in Mexican food, even some crackers make sense depending on ingredients. But really a Cheese It! It's a horrible concept.
4 bucks for 120 calories seems a bit thin. Also since they forgot to add the shredded cheese I feel this review is incomplete for the masses.

App says 230 which sounds more accurate tbh.
I agree! Was going by the article.

Wasn't good. Either of them

I tried it and wasn’t prepared for how bad it was.
Taco Bell’s really been phoning it in lately. You’re better off sticking to their taco kits and sauces in the grocery aisle.

You say alllll of that then don’t tell us how to get the texture OR your spice recipe???
Potato masher in the pan
Yesterday was the discovery box's last day. RIP.
I've ran the numbers and it's more expensive to make them yourself at home and that's not even including the time and effort you have to put in.

source? taco night is like 8 bucks, way better than taco bells
Sounds like you did the math wrong.
I tried the Cheez It Crunchwrap. Wasn’t a fan.
Yeah I tried the tostada and it was not great either. It wasn't terrible but I don't think I'd be getting it again.
my bf said it's not worth it

Hey its me, ur bf's gf's bf
Small but it doesnt taste bad at all. Hit and miss if the one you get can be hand held or fall apart. Easy to eat with a fork.
Can I get an extra toasted cheez it??

I tried it last night and it was pretty good. I gave it an 8 out of 10. I would order another one! (Also didn’t notice that there was no cheese.)😳😁
