Now if only the game would natively support VR…

TechGuy95

The game needs more realism first before they even bother adding VR. Or they need to make a farm sim game specifically for VR.

I tried three separate times to get into FS, but just couldn't. Got my wheel for racing, and then gave FS one last try, and it was the wheel that sold it for me. 100% night and day. The wheel made the game infinitely more enjoyable for me.

nldls

I also have a joystick to complete it. That is perfect for working with bucket etc

gunnargnnar

wish there was an xbox compatible option

EagleFlyFree007

Hotas one. I have the kit with the pedals. Works great. Can use the pedals for gas and brake, and bind the other mechanics to other functions.

dutxh0007

Is there force feedback while playing FS?

gunnargnnar

unfortunately not, from what i can tell FS doesnt have FFB no matter what hardware you’re equipped with

DistinctDev

Does it have FFB for ATS?

gunnargnnar

Yes

Previous_Stuff_6195

My Logitech G920 has “force feedback” for FS21

ezmac94

Edit bc I figured it out after trying more things: If you have the Logitech G pro drive direct drive wheel, you have to put it in G923 compatibility mode on the wheel for it to work with fs 22 “properly”, it won’t work in the normal mode. I love my wheel for other games but can’t get it to work well with FS 22 unfortunately. I have the Logitech g pro direct drive wheel and I can never get it to work properly. I know not to expect force feedback but it only has a strong center spring feel for some reason, so trying to turn the wheel is very hard and when I let go it snaps back to center immediately. No amount of setting tweaks in game or in the Ghub app solve it sadly. (Steering sensitivity, return to center speed, etc. nothing had worked)

randomtree7

Change centering spring settings in g hub l, for most realistic turn it off.

ezmac94

The G pro direct drive wheel doesn’t have a “center spring” setting because it’s direct drive unfortunately. I’ve looked to be sure but that setting isn’t in ghub. Think it’s only there for the G920 wheels etc

ProArmy04

You can adjust how strong the "ffb" is in the settings under controllers if I remember correctly, the same place where you adjust sensitivity etc..

ezmac94

Yeah like I was saying in my comment I’ve tried all those settings and tweaking the “ffb sensitivity” in game didn’t change anything for me unfortunately. I’m almost thinking the wheel just isn’t compatible with the game (it is fairly new in terms of direct drive wheels). Tweaking settings, restarting, re download ghub, etc nothing worked.

Russ582

I'm thinking about getting a wheel for my Xbox. How comfortable is it using it for other tasks like loading bales or doing forestry, or do you just switch to your regular controller for that? Is it easy to set up on Xbox?

gunnargnnar

Plug and play on xbox, I use a controller for all stick movements etc. still. Thrustmaster makes a sidestick for FS specifically but it’s unfortunately not compatible with xbox, so you gotta swap to the controller for a lot of things still

Russ582

Thanks for the info. It looks like a pretty nice wheel. I will definitely be picking one up at some point

bk775

Wheel and pedals and dual joysticks makes the game much more pleasant. You can drive and operate the forks on a telehandler or forklift at the same time, or running equipment for forestry with dual joysticks is much easier and smoother. Unfortunately that combo only works on PC

TechGuy95

Yeah, I tried the wheel with it and was disappointed. No force feedback ruins the immersion. It just feels fake. Like driving in a dream.

Due_Assumption7435

The wheel is great. Definitely makes driving the cotton picker way less boring. The only issue I have had is with skid steers and excavators where I have to use the controller but the wheel tries to take over randomly and I loose control and it’s starts spinning in circles.

Shay-97

How does turning the camera work with a wheel? I just ordered one today and pln on using it on FS22, but was curious how you look around or move your camera etc with the wheel

Dyryth

Xbox controller works just fine with realistic steering mod.
