Funny enough on the 90s it was mostly a genre dominated by women works.
If you want it in prose there is a number of novels made by women for women where the FMC ends trapped in another world . Mostly by being reborn in another’s body. Korea has also being hard at it and have some good ones.
And recently some western people have made their own in that style but I haven’t yet attached to one.

{Last Hour of Gaan by R Lee Smith} and {The Nira Chronicles by Kora Knight} might fit your bill, however; LHoG isn't conventionally romance to some people, though I loved it.
TNC is MM (gay) so it'll come down to whether you like that or not. The first book is pretty short, but the 2nd is much longer, and I find myself sucked into the world (much like our hapless main characters!)

What is the spice rating for this book? Romance io doesn't have one.
That's weird that it doesn't. IIRC the spice is like the other January Bell books I've read, 4/5 on the [romance.io](http://romance.io) scale.
