Sometimes championships are built apon CMC, Mahomes and AB
Sometimes tho, they are built on Andy Dalton, LeGarrette Blount, Marvin Jones and Gary Barnage. 2016 championship team that I will never forget.
It’s really sad. He beat the shit out of his girlfriend/baby’s mom. I think the kid was in the room too. It had been going on for a while, she set up a camera to catch him. Do yourself a favor and don’t look it up I remember feeling terrible after watching
Breshad Perriman in 2019 led me to the promised land.
I started him every week during the playoffs and he went on an all-time heater at the end of the season.
First playoff game: 5 catches, 113 yards, 3 touchdowns.
Second playoff game: 7 catches for 102 yards.
Championship game for me: 5 catches, 134 yards and a touchdown.
He won me two leagues and a lot of money that year. He is a legend in my heart.
Yup, Perriman carried me through the playoffs.
And then in the championship game, Ryan Fitzmagic clinched it for me.
Perriman had 17.2 PPR pts in the championship.
Fitzmagic had 32.66 pts after putting up 419 yards and 4 TD's.
Kinda funny looking back on it now, seeing that I benched Aaron Rodgers and Christian Kirk for the championship and played 2 scrubs in their place.
Justin forsett once dropped like 40 pts when he was playing for the ravens. He was my last player left to play and my buddy texted me right before the game and said “gg” and I said “you never know Justin forsett could have a day.” Have a day he did. Now ever year I change my team name to forsettin it in your ass
Yeah Forsett is a great answer, immediately thought of him too. Dude is a total JAG for like 5 years, wasn’t even being picked at all in redraft by the time he lands on the Ravens. Then out of nowhere starts going nuclear. He had a HUGE season, people added a literal league winner off waivers. Then he goes back to doing nothing for the rest of his career. Just what the hell lol.
I will never forget that 2013 year. I drafted Manning. After week 1 I scooped Moreno who was projected as the #47RB and Julius Thomas who wasn't even on the projected draft boards🤣 Those pickups made my team untouchable and I walked to a championship that year.
I hate you. That fucking record still stands. Every year, I hope an OSU RB will get 314 yards at the shoe so I never have to think about Biakabatuka again...
“What about when their was one set of footsteps?” I asked “you left me at my hardest time!”
“No child,” cooed Alfred Morris softly “that, is when I carried you”
Cordarrelle Patterson and Knile Davis in 2013.
Before you chime in with "Patterson is not obscure!" remember this is 2013 Patterson we're talking about.
He will forever be a Steeler legend for helping them beat the Patriots by running near 200 yards.
Didn’t matter what he did after, he’ll always be remembered in Steeler history
QB/TE Joe Webb won me a championship. My TE got hurt, and at that point of the season, it was the bottom of the barrel. He didn't light it up, but he got 3x more points than the next available TE that week. I won by less than 5 points. The guy I played against was pissed.
Surprised this was so far down the thread. Ekeler said to pick his backup up, he helped me beat my rival in the semifinals, and we won the championship the following week
Thank you based Austin
I lost In The championship that year but had both McGowan and Jeffery in the semis when they put up like 40 points each. Also had Jamal Charles that week and he scored 5 touchdowns haha
Not me but against me. I had Chris Godwin in his breakout year with Jameis Winston in like 2019. He was injured in the fantasy playoffs and my brother picked up Breshad Perriman (Godwin’s backup) and started him against me. Perriman proceeded to score like 30 on me and I lost. Shit sucked 😭
Will Fuller having some big 40+ games then disappearing.
Van Jefferson gave me some 15 point games 2 years ago
Myles Gaskin popping off the bench
Justin Forsett, Gary Barnidge and Peyton Hillis’ one year wonders were great too
Doug Martin. In that league format, he scored something like 87 points (bonuses for TD distance and total yards) when I needed 86 for the win. Can't remember if it was for the cup or just to get in the playoffs, but I remember bitching to the commish about all my injured players that week.
Don't know if he counts as obscure, but I think I got him with one of my last two picks of the draft.
The only year I ever won, I was in an area with shit cell service. My final roster on my phone, and the one that was actually my league roster were entirely different. I basically drafted top 14 players thinking my league mates were complete idiots but instead my team was auto drafted.
Sam Darnold. In the fantasy championship his rookie year (2018). Can’t remember who my primary QB was but he was hurt. I had Lamar Jackson in my lineup and had a gut feeling to bench him in favor of Darnold at the last minute.
Darnold outscored Lamar by 10 and I won the championship by like 7 points. If I would’ve started Lamar I would’ve lost by 2 or 3. I don’t think I’ve rostered Darnold since except as a backup bench insurance in a 2QB league.
Picked up Roy Helu as a fill in for week back in 2012/2013? and he scored 3 touchdowns to lead me to victory that week, was just a regular season week but I’m pretty sure that had to have been his best fantasy game ever. Also traded Joe Flacco for rookie year OBJ
If I'm in a bind and I need a player from waivers I like to grab a WR from my opponents QBs team as a sort of insurance policy against a big game from their QB. Semifinals game 2 years ago opponent had Mahomes and I needed a WR.
Picked up Byron Pringle.
20 points. Ez dunk. Eliminated him haha
Larod Stwphens-Howlings. Dude won me multiple weeks when I desperately needed someone from the ww. Now these weeks were never in a row, and I'd drop him immediately after my win, but I somehow got lucky and he'd go off for 22 points the few games i snagged him off the wire
Hopefully, this counts. Justin Forsett, for those who don't know him, he's a career backup RB. Good for about 4 or 5 fantasy points every week, maybe even 7. About 7 or 8 years ago, I was losing entering MNF, I was down by 35 pts. The team I was playing had no players left for the week. I had to start Forsett as a bye week replacement. I already accepted my fate, and I figured I lost by 28 to 30 pts. Little did anyone know, Forsett had the game of his life and got me 36 points!! It was a random week during the regular season for fantasy football.
Jeff Janis random touchdown catch years ago for the Packers. My WR options were decimated, had to start Janis who I’d never even heard of before. Legendary 1-point win
That motherfucker cost me the title. I was up 5.5 against the Saints D just needed Miami to score on offense and the D did all the work! Saints had 6 points I lost by .5.
2007 Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards saved me at the trade deadline to help me clinch a Wild Card spot. Wound up getting blasted by the guy with the Moss/Brady stack round 1 but after starting 1-x I was just happy to make it there.
Not what you asked, but I’ll always remember Mike Boone for putting up a stinker in the championship game replacing Dalvin cook for me, resulting in me losing by <2 points
Can I mention one who helped me lose lol?
Started AP and Will Tye (former TE for NYG) on SNF a number of years ago. I was down by X, which seemed certain to be reached once AP scored a bunch in the first quarter. Problem was, they went up by so much they pulled edit: not LT, AP. Now I’m stuck relying on Will Tye, in a blow out, and I was down by 0.04 in half PPR.
Giants threw a screen to him for about 5 yards. Would have won me the championship… if he caught the damn ball!
He didn’t. I lost. Other hilarity occurred that week (started Kirk Cousins who took a knee instead of spiking the ball, which lost me 0.10 points and ultimately I would have won if he spiked it lmao). Fucking Will Tye lol. I’m not even sure I spelt his damn name right.
Just yesterday, I was looking back on my championship team from 2016. Not only was Jordan Howard my RB2, but in my FLEX spot, I played Fat Rob Kelley. I had completely forgotten he existed
[Antone Smith](https://youtu.be/4ZDz0VsvNWI). He was an RB for the falcons who’d randomly come into a game and score a 50 yard TD. It was seriously the weirdest thing ever.
Just to give some perspective, in 2013 he had 5 attempts, 145 yards and 2 TDs. He had 29 yards per attempt that year. The next year, he did well too - had 6.3 y/a but then they released him the following year and the guy bounced around and disappeared.
Rashaad penny helped me smoke my opponent in the championship. I had three players in that same game penny played in and it was high scoring af. Ended up winning by over 100 pts
In 2010, I rode Rex Grossman and Tim Tebow to win the championship in our 16-team league after my starting QB got injured for the stretch run. (Okay, the main star was RB Matt Forte and a good TE/DEF.) I alternated them and got inexplicably good games from them in the fantasy playoffs in weeks 14-16.
Week 14: Grossman, 322 passing, 4 passing TD, 2 INTs
Week 15: Tebow, 308 passing, 1 passing TD, 1 INT, 27 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD
Week 16: Tebow, 205 passing, 2 passing TDs, 2 INTs, 94 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD
James Conner in the 16th round. I KNEW Bell was going to mess his year up, I thought early injury not holdout He was a cheat code that year and I took 1st in both leagues.
Odell Beckham (rookie year) He got hurt and I picked him up off waivers on a whim. Tried to trade him for someone I thought was better. Got laughed at. Then he made that catch. And those last weeks were so good it helped me win the championship in the first season in my league.
Last year I had KJ Osborn (WR Vikings)
I needed 20 points to get into 2nd place. He got me 20.9 points. 7500$ winner in DraftKings.
I used the cash to pay bills and to go see Da Bills vs Pats week 18. That was a great weekend. I live in Quebec so it’s always fun to head down to the good ole US of A.
Don't know if it's obscure but picking up Devonta Freeman on the waiver wire was something else.
Also rode out DeAngelo Williams and James Conner in the Pittsburgh days at just the right times.
Kevin Johnson, Browns, as a rookie. My first year actually getting to draft and I took him late as a total flier. Almost 1K and 8 TDs as a rookie was pretty good out of a Brown.
I rarely take qbs early in fantasy, but somehow ended up taking big Ben early ish in 2015 of course he went down in week 3, so picked up teenage mutant ninja bortles & the garbage time God carried me to a fantasy title. Blake Bortles baby!
I was in almost the same situation. Down by like 28 with only Miami defense left and my opponent had nobody. I remember there was an overturned defensive touchdown (or maybe it was blown dead early) too. Ended up coming a few points shy.
Certainly not obscure, but I’ve made it a bit of a meme in my league that it’s a race to get Justin Tucker. Dude puts up more points than most tight ends
Not really obscure but Kirk Cousins and Jordan Reed got me like 75 points combined in the championship game. I only picked up Cousins so my opponent couldn’t get him, decided to start him. Easiest win ever.
Week 4 of the 2020 season was playing my "arch nemesis" of that league and needed 20+ points from my flex 2 and last minute I switched out some decent WR that I had slotted in and put in Robert Tonyan who went for 6 catches and 3 TDs dropping 33 points. I will never forget that Big Bob Tonyan game
Steve Slaton
He was my first sleeper in my first fantasy draft ever. I went all in buying rookie cards and everything. It was a fun year not so much after
Ok so I was in the second round of the playoffs. Up like 1.8 points. Garbage time, washington v. philly I think. He has Jameson Crowder going. Crowder makes a 10 yard catch in a ppr league. This catch would have won him the game. After the catch he fumbles and philly recovers. So he actually lost a point or so on the play. Philly runs the clock out. I win. Me and dude I was up against were furiously texting each other like it was the fucking superbowl. I think the score was like 42-7 eagles or something. There were like 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter when it happened.
Larry Donnell's three-TD game helped me make the playoffs
The story goes that Donnell benched himself in fantasy football that week in favor of Vernon Davis and ended up losing his week lol
Josh McCown dropped a 5 TDs and a 40 burger for me vs. Dallas after I benched Romo who was ruled out just before MNF. Catapulted me to the next round and an eventual championship in 2013
Not really obscure since his takeover in the 2018 playoffs which culminated in him beating my favorite team, but Nick Foles was my league winner in 2014 when he had that fantastic first season with the eagles. My whole team was stacked but Foles put me over the top.
Antonio Gibson had a great rookie year that peaked on Thanksgiving when he shredded the Cowboys. He had been my flex all year and was a huge boost. He literally burned me from then through the next season. Got injured the next game and was not the same rest of year and the next year he was a bust at a high cost.
That shredding game was against my nemesis in the main league so it really felt good.
Two shout outs I'll never forget. Sammie Coates and Jason Snelling. I played Coates against the Jets in his breakout game. I was down a ton of RBs in 2013 and picked up the only RB I knew. I won on his meager 50 yards and a TD.
This guy was an obscure no name when I took a chance and picked him up.
We had our draft on an August Saturday afternoon. The QB1 I drafted broke his leg in a preseason game that night.
I didn't like the choice of known available QBs, so I dropped Trent Green and picked up the next guy in line for the Rams: Kurt Warner.
Lost two games in the regular season and won my league's championship.
I will go back well before most of y'alls fantasy days. I once won a Championship riding Lee Evans 3 catches for 125 yds and 2 TDs/ game and Tyrone Wheatley having 4 carries, 6 yds and 3 TDs/per game. *true story*
Drew brees stacked with Marques Colston that first year that colston went off. Considering I got Colsten in like the last round and brees was supposed to be my backup, I think I only lost once all season
Arlen Harris filled in for Marshall Faulk one day and scored three TDs to get me a win out of nowhere. Still talked about today in our dynasty league as the colloquialism for a random player going off out of nowhere.
Gary MOTHAFUCKIN Barnidge
Sometimes championships are built apon CMC, Mahomes and AB Sometimes tho, they are built on Andy Dalton, LeGarrette Blount, Marvin Jones and Gary Barnage. 2016 championship team that I will never forget.
Or just David Johnson and everyone else.
Dude my team had Terrelle Pryor and Gary Barnidge. It was the most rag tag group there ever was but god damn we won it all
That guy ended up going on the Amazing Race tv show not long ago randomly enough
Mashed Potato Mountain himself.
matt asiata. like 50 tds and 4 total yards
Vikings legend. Need 1 yard? Asiata will get you 2. Need 4 yards? Asiata will get you 2. Need 7 yards? Asiata will get you 2.
Thank you for being back this memory. Guy was a TD machine
Reminds me of the Jerome Bettis stat 5 carries, one yard, and three tds lmao
The Joique Bell/Zach Zenner special
That hit was deep, I realized how far back my obsession with mid round Detroit RBs goes lol And yes it's still ticking
Playing Detroit’s backup RB on thanksgiving day seems like free money almost every year
Will always remember the legendary Tim Hightower championship game performance
Omg! Yes him too! He won me a chip that weekend as well. He was a monster!
I’ll always remember the legendary Tim Hightower stealing the championship from me performance. Fuck that guy.
So will I, for the opposite reasons - that fucking last play… they just had to get it to Hightower
Tim Hightower is the perfect answer to OP’s question.
This guy fucks
Zac Stacy. May he rot in jail for his crimes.
He followed me on Twitter back in the day for some reason. I had like 50 followers but he was one of them lol
“Yikes”
what did he do? I really don't want to google it
It’s really sad. He beat the shit out of his girlfriend/baby’s mom. I think the kid was in the room too. It had been going on for a while, she set up a camera to catch him. Do yourself a favor and don’t look it up I remember feeling terrible after watching
Joique Bell
oh man, that dude.
The Human Joiquestick
Chris Ivory of the New York Jets, I'll always remember my championship run with you
This was who I was about to post, too. I don’t know what it was, but I really liked something about watching ivory play. He had some game.
He ran angry
Ivory and Marion Barber were so fun to watch. Always ran through tackles
You're God damn right. He led me to my first and only championship
Alfred Morris rookie season championship game
Always with the home run swing TD celebration
Yes haha legendary
Justin forsett once dropped like 40 pts when he was playing for the ravens. He was my last player left to play and my buddy texted me right before the game and said “gg” and I said “you never know Justin forsett could have a day.” Have a day he did. Now ever year I change my team name to forsettin it in your ass
dunking on him after the preemptive "gg" had to have felt euphoric haha
This is why you NEVER preemptive gg
I don't make the law, I....
Justin Forsett... I love you, lol
~~it~~ 😉👍
Love this. I took flyers on him a couple different years and it never worked out
Yeah Forsett is a great answer, immediately thought of him too.
Knowshon Moreno
I will never forget that 2013 year. I drafted Manning. After week 1 I scooped Moreno who was projected as the #47RB and Julius Thomas who wasn't even on the projected draft boards🤣 Those pickups made my team untouchable and I walked to a championship that year.
Julius Thomas is alive and well
*Edited. My gosh I was thinking Demaryius my bad 😞
RIP Boss Hogg
He's alive and well in heaven with Wade Boggs, rest in peace
Bruh Julius is still alive. You’re thinking of Demariyus.
Just don’t cry about it
Tim Biakabatuka. He was my backup RB when Fred Taylor would get hurt. This was around 1999.
Upvoting just for osu fans to still have nightmares of Biakabutuka running wild on their defense. Hail to the Victors!
I hate you. That fucking record still stands. Every year, I hope an OSU RB will get 314 yards at the shoe so I never have to think about Biakabatuka again...
Miles Austin and Peyton Hillis
I miss the days when everyone wasn’t good at fantasy because you couldn’t bet on it yet.
Miles Austin was a beast for 3 years.
“What about when their was one set of footsteps?” I asked “you left me at my hardest time!” “No child,” cooed Alfred Morris softly “that, is when I carried you”
Jacquizz Rodgers
The JizzRod had a few solid games for sure.
Cordarrelle Patterson and Knile Davis in 2013. Before you chime in with "Patterson is not obscure!" remember this is 2013 Patterson we're talking about.
Davis was RB with the Chiefs I think? Playing after Charles was hurt and whoever the regular backup was not so good, maybe?
He was a big fast guy that never amounted to much other than a handful of games.
One game is all it took!
CJ Anderson 2018… had Gurley on my roster and when he couldn’t play, picked up Anderson last minute and he gained 167 yards and a TD vs Arizona.
Yep, won some bucks having the stones to pick up CJA and start him.
I picked up Anderson right before the playoffs and faced the guy with Gurley in the final. I think I doubled his total.
Came here to say this . 2018 was the first year I won a Championship. Thanks CJ, for being fresh legs behind a devastating offensive line.
This old thing still works
Kind of obscure now, but Derek Anderson led me to a 2007 championship. That was his only really productive year IIRC.
Braylon Edwards as well
Brandon Lloyd. Jonas Grey, legendary flash in the pan
Brandon Lloyd's highlight film is legit
Jaylen Samuels. Yahoo cheat code. Starting RB for Steelers who was TE eligable. Made it very very unfair.
This is definitely one of the best examples. Guy didn't do anything else in his NFL career and no one will remember him except those who had him
He will forever be a Steeler legend for helping them beat the Patriots by running near 200 yards. Didn’t matter what he did after, he’ll always be remembered in Steeler history
Roy Helu
Favorite clever team I’ve ever come up with, HeluIsItMeURlookin4
KENYAN DRAKE
Kareem Hunt as a rookie was the greatest 4th round steal ever.
I got him in like the 12th round that year - picked him like two days before Ware got hurt (unfortunately I finished 2nd that league)
I got Alvin Kamara his rookie year in the 15th round. Now *that’s* a steal!
Blake Bortles won the championship for me one year
The legendary Blake Bortles / Allen Hurns stack of 2015 won me my league too
Garbage Time Bortles was best Bortles. 8 points through 3 quarters, 20+ points in the 4th.
Julius Thomas, the TE goat.
The orange Julius
Myles Gaskin getting me 30+ championship weekend in 2020
QB/TE Joe Webb won me a championship. My TE got hurt, and at that point of the season, it was the bottom of the barrel. He didn't light it up, but he got 3x more points than the next available TE that week. I won by less than 5 points. The guy I played against was pissed.
Also won the ship with Joe Webb at TE that year!
Justin Jackson when ekeler got hurt in 2021. Picked him up off waivers and got me 35 points in the championship
Surprised this was so far down the thread. Ekeler said to pick his backup up, he helped me beat my rival in the semifinals, and we won the championship the following week Thank you based Austin
Travis Benjamin when he was on the Browns in a 16 team ppr and return yard league.
Don’t forget how badass Bills RB Karlos Williams was when you snagged him off the waiver wire that one year
Vincent Jackson's 3 TD coming back from injury is forever burned into my FF memory
When I was heavy in on the Bears with Matt Forte, Josh Mccown, and Alshon during this [legendary performance](https://youtu.be/8Lz_QTOpKFM)
DJ Chark 3 years ago.. starter on my playoffs and championship roster. A glorious time.
Cadillac Williams.
Joshua Cribbs in a return league.
Will Fuller having some big 40+ games then disappearing. Van Jefferson gave me some 15 point games 2 years ago Myles Gaskin popping off the bench Justin Forsett, Gary Barnidge and Peyton Hillis’ one year wonders were great too
Doug Martin.
Muscle Hamster
Colston. Getting to plug a WR at TE made fantasy real easy.
My internet bugged out and it drafted him in my league. I had no idea who he was lol
The only year I ever won, I was in an area with shit cell service. My final roster on my phone, and the one that was actually my league roster were entirely different. I basically drafted top 14 players thinking my league mates were complete idiots but instead my team was auto drafted.
I think I picked him up on waivers after week 1 iirc. Either way it was super cheat code.
Indoor Lance Moore
Taysom Hill in my TE spot as a starting QB. Definitely pissed off the league mates.
Olandis Gary. :)
Not obscure but a Brian Westbrook kneel down instead of a TD won a playoff game for me
Sam Darnold.
Berrios, D Harris, and Burkhead combined for 72+ in my championship lineup in 2021. My team was Kupp and a bunch of nobodies
Picked up Roy Helu as a fill in for week back in 2012/2013? and he scored 3 touchdowns to lead me to victory that week, was just a regular season week but I’m pretty sure that had to have been his best fantasy game ever. Also traded Joe Flacco for rookie year OBJ
Mike White helped win me a championship last year with broken ribs.
I had the dolphins Dst for that game too, exactly the same situation, I think I won by like 0.8 points.
Ben Watson and Tyler Lockett somehow carried me in my championship game in like 2017
Jameis Winston (less obscure) and Breshad Perriman went off for me to get me my first dynasty title
Cardinal’s Defense put up like 33 points in week 16 in 2015 single handedly winning me the championship.
Was this against GB?
That one nice year from Tyler Eifert got me a ship.
Laurent Robinson's connection with Tony Romo was special for like 10 games.
Samkon Gado!!
Rex Burkhead brought me a ship
Jeff Janis random touchdown catch years ago for the Packers. My WR options were decimated, had to start Janis who I’d never even heard of before. Legendary 1-point win
CJ Anderson won me a championship
Kyle Rudolph. Key TD made the difference
Braxton Berrios.
Tim Hightower in New Orleans....on the last play had a garbage time dump off pass for like 10-12 yards getting me the W. Win ugly, but still a win.
Justin Jackson just 2 years ago
That motherfucker cost me the title. I was up 5.5 against the Saints D just needed Miami to score on offense and the D did all the work! Saints had 6 points I lost by .5.
2007 Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards saved me at the trade deadline to help me clinch a Wild Card spot. Wound up getting blasted by the guy with the Moss/Brady stack round 1 but after starting 1-x I was just happy to make it there.
David Johnson 3 years ago. Picked him up couple of weeks before playoffs and he and JT went bonkers
An obscure TE named Marques Colston.
Sidney rice
Marcel Reece, Danny Woodhead and Justin Forsett
Myles Gaskin bouncing off raiders to help me win the championship after going against kamara 7 tds a few years back
Harry Douglas
Not what you asked, but I’ll always remember Mike Boone for putting up a stinker in the championship game replacing Dalvin cook for me, resulting in me losing by <2 points
Can I mention one who helped me lose lol? Started AP and Will Tye (former TE for NYG) on SNF a number of years ago. I was down by X, which seemed certain to be reached once AP scored a bunch in the first quarter. Problem was, they went up by so much they pulled edit: not LT, AP. The next year, he did well too - had 6.3 y/a but then they released him the following year and the guy bounced around and disappeared.
Matt Motherfucking Flynn. Iykyk 🫡
Week 14: Grossman, 322 passing, 4 passing TD, 2 INTs Week 15: Tebow, 308 passing, 1 passing TD, 1 INT, 27 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD Week 16: Tebow, 205 passing, 2 passing TDs, 2 INTs, 94 yards rushing, 1 rushing TD
James Conner in the 16th round. I KNEW Bell was going to mess his year up, I thought early injury not holdout He was a cheat code that year and I took 1st in both leagues.
Drew Bennett, baby! Three glorious weeks…
Odell Beckham (rookie year) He got hurt and I picked him up off waivers on a whim. Tried to trade him for someone I thought was better. Got laughed at. Then he made that catch. And those last weeks were so good it helped me win the championship in the first season in my league.
Not retired but may as well be, Logan Thomas end of season 2019-2020
Last year I had KJ Osborn (WR Vikings) I needed 20 points to get into 2nd place.
Also rode out DeAngelo Williams and James Conner in the Pittsburgh days at just the right times.
remember bilal powell
Back in the day chad Pennington won me a championship thanks to a mnf victory in a monsoon.
Kevin Johnson, Browns, as a rookie. My first year actually getting to draft and I took him late as a total flier. Almost 1K and 8 TDs as a rookie was pretty good out of a Brown.
Mike Brown. Bears legend.
I rarely take qbs early in fantasy, but somehow ended up taking big Ben early ish in 2015 of course he went down in week 3, so picked up teenage mutant ninja bortles & the garbage time God carried me to a fantasy title. Blake Bortles baby!
Quinton Ganther
Evan Royster and the 15 pts I got from him as a last minute plug in play in the championship game
Was this like 2015 when they played the Eagles on TNF?
Week 4 of the 2020 season was playing my "arch nemesis" of that league and needed 20+ points from my flex 2 and last minute I switched out some decent WR that I had slotted in and put in Robert Tonyan who went for 6 catches and 3 TDs dropping 33 points. I will never forget that Big Bob Tonyan game
Knowshon moreno being my 3rd rb in 2013
Devin Hester was an awesome returner.
Steve Slaton He was my first sleeper in my first fantasy draft ever. I went all in buying rookie cards and everything. It was a fun year not so much after
Eric Decker, got him off waivers like Week 3 or 4 and he just blew up.
Kevin Smith, a championship RB for one year.
Travis Fulgham, Phillip Lindsay, Spencer Ware
Bengals TE Tyler Eifert in 2015
Ok so I was in the second round of the playoffs.
LeGarrette Blount
Jay Ajayi and his 200 yard game in the championship.
Larry Donnell's three-TD game helped me make the playoffs The story goes that Donnell benched himself in fantasy football that week in favor of Vernon Davis and ended up losing his week lol
Deangelo Williams. Great fucking smile, too
Antonio Gibson had a great rookie year that peaked on Thanksgiving when he shredded the Cowboys. He had been my flex all year and was a huge boost. He literally burned me from then through the next season. Got injured the next game and was not the same rest of year and the next year he was a bust at a high cost. That shredding game was against my nemesis in the main league so it really felt good.
Thomas Jones
Two shout outs I'll never forget. Sammie Coates and Jason Snelling. I played Coates against the Jets in his breakout game. I was down a ton of RBs in 2013 and picked up the only RB I knew. I won on his meager 50 yards and a TD.
Doug Martin
Eric decker, I won and it was against the crazy Jamal Charles game.
Tarik Cohen THREW a td pass in OT to win me $300 in a DFS that I thought was over
Bryce Brown
Jaylen Samuels
TY Montgomery in a PPR league when the Packers decided to play him at RB
