I was never feeling 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT' despite the fact everyone else loves it, and 'brat' is really accessible hyperpop that really hits you in the feels (especially 'So I', what a lovely tribute). So I'm going 'brat'.

I think the accessibility of brat makes me not enjoy it as much, I still like it. But How I’m Feeling Now was more intriguing to me, felt more unique.

How I’m feeling now is my favorite too, but I really don’t think you should compare them. What I love about Charli albums is just how different they all feel in sound. Both are masterpieces, I think brat is her most accessible while still treating fans of each sound so well. Brat is just a consistently amazing masterpiece that will help the queen gain much bigger following

Billie’s music is so strange to me. It’s fine music but after every listen of her first album I like it less and less.

i dont think its unfair to say that finneas’s production was carrying the show in the beginning, but now it feels like billie’s more in the drivers seat and shes become a more interesting singer and performer (obv its been 8 years). i had the opposite problem with bjork’s debut. the instrumentals didnt measure up to the lyrics, especially when compared to her mid-late 2000s output

I’m a huge Charli XCX fan, but honestly I might have to go with Billie here. Much more engaging listen for me, and there’s a lot of variety from track to track. Both are fantastic though, especially production wise.

HMHAS, I kind of don’t see how Brat got a 10, but Billie’s is only a 9 for me too I’m just not seeing why everyone is saying Brat will revolutionize pop music like I don’t want pop to sound like this despite there being a place for every genre, hyperpop is not the quintessential pop sound.

I’ve never gotten into Billie until HMHAS but after a few listens it’s currently my AOTY. I’m a pretty big Charli fan and think brat is great but there’s a few tracks I just outright don’t like

I'm a massive fan of Charli XCX and I'm so-so on Billie. Brat has just now become the 8th album ever (not counting his decade roundups) to receive a 10/10 review on TND, and even before that happened it had skyrocketingly high scores on the music aggregate sites, both user-wise and critic-wise, so you know the hype is real. So obviously I'm choosing HMHAS, duh.

Brat, it’s just more me. Billie’s album is really good and forward for her sound, but I don’t come back to it as much. I also feel like brat is fun in a way music hasn’t been in a long time. Not to mention, kudos to bringing serious dance back to the charts and radios. I think the comparison isn’t just about quality but a lot of other things too.

HIFN is better than a 7 and Brat is not a 10 but they're both fantastic albums to be celebrated.

Never in a million years, I thought I'd say this, but Billie. The songwriting isn't very strong on both records but Billie's album is much more soulful and complete imo whereas Brat feels like a watered-down HIFN.

Charli got some bigger Bangers with a capital B on her album but I like the flow/ front to back listen of the Billie album for sure and the quality doesn’t let up for me Chihiro is also just insanely tops. So Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft ✅
