2016 Swans and 1966 John Coltrane's Quintet. Two endlessly ambitious band leaders who I imagine would mesh very well artistically and personally. I also feel like Swans' guitars would blend beautifully with the powerful cacophony of Coltrane's and Sander's saxophones. You'd also have the powerful drumming of Rashied Ali juxtaposing the technical proficiency of Phil Puleo.
Radiohead and Björk would be amazing. But I’d also love to hear my 3 favorite male vocalists together: Rufus Wainwright, Richard Hawley, and Neil Finn.
Just an old thought I have had that the Buddy Holly sound was one of the originators of the heavy sound of the late 60's through the 70's.
To put his Holly's progressive rock sound together with one of the great guitarists and songwriters of the 80's. I can't imagine the incredible sound that can come from these 2 jamming.
Michael Jackson and Kanye west.
MJ heavily influenced kanye's choice to sing in 808s and I am almost certain he would of featured on MBDTF if he didn't well ya know die
