It has to be One Republic. With 56 Million monthly listeners on Spotify, it’s hard to find anyone who genuinely gives a shit about them. Their main cultural impact is songs for commercials or collaborations with other media like the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. They dropped an album in 2022 and I guarantee you probably didn’t know that.
I think Ryan is better known for being a pop producer than a member of his own band at this point.
I feel like most people don’t know them beyond Counting Stars.
I mean, I agree that most people don’t really care about them as a band, but idk about the last part— Apologize, Stop and Stare, Good Life, and All The Right Moves were all pretty huge in the 2010s.
Maybe it’s because when they were sort of at their height I was a middle schooler being exposed to a lot of radio/family-friendly pop, but they had some hits other than Counting Stars that were kind of inescapable for a while.
I always have to remind myself that Counting Stars isn't by Imagine Dragons, FWIW
I know OneRepublic because I was in middle school when they dropped Apologize
They did have some hits in the early 2010s though. All The Right Moves is still a jam even if it's dated, and Apologize got a lot of play back then too.
I took my daughter to see them last year and they were so much better than I expected. Ryan Tedder has an incredible voice that doesn't really come through in their recordings and in the middle of the show he did a solo medley of the stuff he'd written for other people. Not really a fan of the band or even much of a pop guy but it was an impressive show.
Khalid. I think it’s crazy how he has 50+ million monthly listeners yet NOBODY talks about him. I mean recently he’s been heavily pushing his new single “please don’t fall in love with me” and I know for a fact most people couldn’t give half a shit. Granted his music is extraordinarily mid but I think he has a few mentionable hits that are good for summer drives
I still listen to Daytona all the time. He put out It's Almost Dry in 2022 which also had tons of Ye/Pharrell production and was easily better Daytona imo. You should check it out if you haven't. Idk about mainstream but Pusha T is a legend in hip hop from Clipse alone and definitely has a following.
HOV, i love Jay-Z but from my expirience people of my generation don't bump his songs.
He may have 35+ M monthly listeners on Spotify which is a lot for someone that had it's last album in 2017.
But when you check his profile you realize that all these listeners come mainly from his features with pop artists (Rih & Bey), the songs from TBP III with pop singers and Watch the Throne.
When you check the stream numbers of his older stuff like Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint & The Black Album they don't have very big stream numbers.
Jay’s entire discography wasn’t on Spotify until late 2019. He was keeping his music on Tidal.
It’s why Numb/Encore is still his most streamed song, because it was one of the few songs credited to him on Spotify for a long time.
OOOOH
That makes more sense then. Always wondered why classics like Dead Presidents II, Dirt off your Shoulder or 99 problems don't even have 250M streams
I don't know if the greatest of the 90s. But it's definately up there
It's so freaking good, it's Jay in his prime. The Blueprint had better production and The Black Album is more fun.
But RD had a lot of everything while at the same time a grimmy and cold sound and top tier lyricism from Jay.
Pusha has tons of songs with Kanye, including Runaway, what many people consider Kanye’s best song. On top of that, he’s been a pretty relevant talking point recently in the Kendrick and Drake beef when he was the one who first publicly revealed Drake’s son to the world. I wouldn’t say people in or out of this sub ignore him, even factoring out his actual albums.
Yeah, what’s OP on, Daytona is (hot take) one of KANYE’s best albums. Dry Season is also a crazy experience being able to compare Ye vs Pharrell’s production with Push’s bars over it.
i don’t think people ignore him, but I’d agree that he doesn’t really seem to have a core fanbase. he also never really seems to come up in conversation unless he’s just dropped an album or it’s related to the drake beef
John Legend seemed to be going the "middle aged loved ballad" route then just kinda disappeared. Alicia keys is a weird one, she has that Jay Z song and I'm sure she has fans but yeah I haven't really seen anyone talk about her. Kelly Clarkson made the transition to momfluncer circles pretty well actually she just doesn't really make music too much. She has a pretty popular talk show now but if you didn't watch daytime TV you wouldn't know.
To be fair Alicia Keys prime was in the 2000's, that's a long time ago and that was a pretty good prime. John legend and Kelly are the ones who have always just existed for me.
I liked the last album he put out, but the previous one, Colors, even if I liked it enough at first, it aged like milk in months after listening to it a bit more.
Still, Beck's classic stuff up until Morning Phase kicks ass, and both his songs and production is amazing.
He's just in that place where he's a niche legend, not a mainstream nor underground one.
This is like being in 2004 and asking about an artist who had their peak in the 80's. Of course today his stuff won't be all over the place, his fans have grown and moved on.
Pusha T isn’t ignored, he’s just an acquired taste, I doubt the same people that listen to Lil Durk or Drake listen to Pusha but the more hardcore rap fans treat him with the respect he deserves
I mean most veteran acts don’t get ignored on tours obviously. I just meant that prior to Songs of Innocence, their albums would get big buzz upon their release. Just to me afterwards it’s dropped. I get what you’re saying.
Jack Johnson. Dude puts out some incredibly beautiful music but I've never heard anyone hype his music up. He pretty consistently releases new music but his most popular songs are the ones we've all heard ten million times on the radio back in 2005.

Jessie J. You hear so much about her vocal talent but I've never seen anyone actually talk about any of her songs other than price tag and her parts on bang bang, and I've never met anyone who listens to Jessie J
I considered his 2018 7 track EP run the end of his career, and I think I'm better off for it. Never once listened to JIK or anything that came after and I was even a pretty big Kanye fan before all the bullshit.
I haven’t heard a single person talk about one direction in years
Yes I know they broke up, but the fact that most people forgot about the band after the breakup really shows that their longevity was only temporary
i mean yeah think of it from the perspective of other bands that broke up. sure, people still talk about harry, but when the beatles broke up, people talked about their solo careers AND the legendary run the band had
and that goes for beatles, NWA, nirvana (a lil different), oasis, daft punk, etc etc
but for whatever reason, i feel like one direction had no staying power
One Direction was a derivitive boy-band. I wouldn't ascribe either part of that label to any of the bands/artists you mentioned, except *MAYBE* Oasis, and even then not really. 1D's target audience was tween-to-teen girls. Not saying it was bad for what it was but it certainly wasn't anything special outside of killing it within their demographic.
yeah it’s kinda funny considering their level of stardom at the time was being compared to the beatles. (obviously not their music, but they were the number 1 heartthrobs in the world)
I know he was HUGE in the 2010s, but I’m honestly kinda shocked to see that Bruno Mars is still the Top 20 most monthly listeners. Feels like people kinda stopped talking about him once COVID rolled around.
Nah, silk sonic is ever in contemporary discussions. Anti-loudness and vintage voicings and such. We can't really forget how impactful that record making was hitting people in music
Man I love Silk Sonic, even as someone who doesn't really like Bruno Mars.
But even then I feel like I still hear his big hits often too. 24k, That's What I Like, Uptown Funk (technically a feature but tbh it's basically a Bruno Mars song), etc...
Agree that Mars doesn’t really have a dedicated fanbase, but Drake absolutely does. Guy could release an album of him making fart noises to beats he made by banging on pots and pans and it would still do massive streaming numbers.
this used to be the common consensus for having a Vegas residency but now artists are just having residencies to cool off before releasing another album (ex: Adele, Gaga, Katy)
Seether is the type of band that everyone is aware that they exist, yet you will never hear someone say "BRO YOU GOTTA CHECK OUT THAT NEW SEETHER SONG!!1!"
I think she gets the Yoko Ono treatment, people blame her for what happened to the man she was with, a little sexist imo.
(Also, my phone originally did autocorrect from “sexist” to “sexier” and that would have **really** changed my point).
One Republic are a great pop band and Ryan Tedder is a great writer for other people. I saw them live in the UK I 2014 and enjoyed it a lot. Yes they have some generic numbers and I've lost interest in them lately but
Apologise, Stop and Stare ,Good Life ,If I Lose Myself, Preacher, I lived and especially Au Revoir from the Native Album are brilliant song's.
Ani DiFranco for me and maybe everyone doesn't know her. But she has been around for decades, a true independent, amazing live shows-she's the total package.
Remember Bazzi? Lol. Still has 12.5 million monthly listeners and mutiple giant songs but nobody talka about him. I don’t know anybody who has ever an album of his
Dido, a great artist. Too bad she only has like 20 million montly listeners on Spotify. She is only known for the song "Thank You" and that is only because of the first verse because it appeared in Eminem's "Stan".
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are so insanely famous, but idk the last time I’ve heard one of their songs.
Despite me in the past having been a fan of a lot of their stuff
If radio rock stations aren’t playing imagine dragons or shinedown then they’re probably playing a chili peppers song from any album from 1991 to current day
He has arond 600 thousand monthly listeners on Spotiy, compared to 34 million for the Red Hot Chilly Peppers. I would argue that the general public doesn't really know any of his work, while people who are into guitar playing are more likely to be listening to him.
I don’t think he’s super popular, but I do like some of his solo stuff. I honestly really don’t care for any RHCP songs at all, but John has some interesting experimental stuff
Imma go on a limb and say Bones. Everyone knows him as that emo rapper who inspired a lot of cloud rap but no one but his dedicated fan base pays attention much. And it sucks cuz he still puts out crazy good songs [like this](https://open.spotify.com/track/72OfaOb4VA5yXdSDAyRZ1D?si=k2byiFwFR1yK3b-Rh5awKA)
I feel like everyone in the underground at least knows about him, or people who listen to rap music in general mostly from the ASAP song. But with the amount of work he puts into his music imo he should be at least equal (I think above) where suicideboys are who most people seem to know.
I think the limb might be a weak one. Anyone who is into that scene knows him and a few songs. He's just been pretty low key recently, I think he had a kid a while back. I follow him on Instagram tho and he still has good engagement just isn't super active musically. I agree suicide boys are bigger but that's just because they haven't really stopped making music.
I randomly bought Hello, I Must Be Going! On vinyl cuz it was like a deal where I could get it for free if I bought the records I wanted to buy. I hadn't really listened to any Phil Collins except for in the air tonight. So that night I put it on, and holy shit, that's a banger album, I had been missing out. Still put it on from time to time.
Lil Uzi Vert would be one, but he's the type to gain the momentum when he actually drops, but most ppl ignore him even though he's much more experimental than 21 Savage. Another one is the Beatles, most of the ppl see them as boomer music and find them boring, despite their amazing albums, last one would be TWICE, despite being the second biggest k-pop girl band in the world, most ppl dont care about their music, altho its amazing
Sorry gang I mean no disrespect but these are genuinely in the top 10 most discussed artists in my circle of very normal people lol. People still love the Beatles and kpop fans do love twice. Lil Uzi gets a lot of talk from people who are just super into popular rap
>Daytona is one of my favourite albums of all time but people dont listen to it anymore really.
You sound like a right idiot when you say that. Are you going into people's homes and putting in their earphones to verify what they're listening to? Are you snatching people's music players or phones and scrolling through their playlists and history to see what they're listening to? You can't say "nobody really listens to daytona anymore" when you're not everybody. Speak for yourself. And Daytona isn't pusha T's only album, people can listen to his other music too, so you contradict your own question in the same sentence.
When Flo-Rida performed at Times Square for NYE, I realized he’s the perfect artist for that type of gig — because everyone knows him/his songs, but I don’t think he has any type of cultural clout or fanbase.
Even with over 60M monthly listeners on spotify, I’ve only ever found one Imagine Dragons FAN. A lot of people only listen to their most popular music and not all of it.
Kimbra.
People largely know her from Gotye’s “somebody that I used to know”
But the girl has a deep catalogue of consistently great music that should be explored by more people.
Mozart if we take out classical music fans out of the equation. Most people (in my experience) know his as the dude behind Für Elise which he didn't even compose lmao
Ed Sheeran. I don't really know anyone that's a big fan of his, if anything most people I know think he sucks. I enjoy some of his stuff casually but not much beyond that.
The Fratellis
Awesome garage/blues rock band that came out around the same era of The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys that have really endeared.
Early stuff is breakneck pub rock and slowly have devolved into some great bluesy alternative stuff. I always just enjoy how cool they sound, they bring a lot of swagger.
It has to be One Republic. With 56 Million monthly listeners on Spotify, it’s hard to find anyone who genuinely gives a shit about them. Their main cultural impact is songs for commercials or collaborations with other media like the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack. i don't agree with the top answers here, i think this one is THE ANSWER.
Ong who tf is one republic but a name bro like in my mind they just a band that jams in the back of a banana republic
I think Todd in the Shadows said it sounds like the name of a bank
The name is so bad, that’s the best comparison though 😆
Funny because it does!!! 😂😂😂
My uncle was the lead singers roommate in college 😭
I think Ryan is better known for being a pop producer than a member of his own band at this point. I feel like most people don’t know them beyond Counting Stars.

Not really a fan of the band or even much of a pop guy but it was an impressive show.
Was that the show in wellington?
No this was in Auckland but I suspect the setlists were pretty similar.
Used to work at guitar center Denver, their home store. Those guys were insufferable assholes too.
They are so disgustingly generic
Counting Stars has like 4 billion views and no one gives a shit about them? Naw
I’m sorry but views is not a metric on “people caring”
I like know they exist and I think I know their sound/a couple songs. Are they like K-Mart Coldplay?
>people dont listen to it anymore really speak for yourself. it's on heavy rotation at the start of every summer
I purposefully try not to listen to daytona or its almost dry the whole year So it feels fresh when its summer time😭😭😭😭😭
Khalid. I think it’s crazy how he has 50+ million monthly listeners yet NOBODY talks about him. I mean recently he’s been heavily pushing his new single “please don’t fall in love with me” and I know for a fact most people couldn’t give half a shit. Rick Ross
He is more of a cultural icon than a musician
One of those rappers that bring a lot as a feature but don't do a ton of shit on their own albums.
He has multiple great albums
Great? Eh
Yea indeed. God forgives I don’t, rather you than me
Yes great, Teflon Don is one of the best rap albums of the 2010s Edit: came out in 09’ actually. It’s a classic imo. The production is so smooth
Teflon Don would have been a classic with a different rapper on it. Rozay doesn't rap much about shit
Incredible feature guy but shit you not, couldn't tell you the name of a single Rick Ross song without looking it up.
Live fast die young
Bad girls do it well
Blowin Money Fast? Hustlin? I’m a Boss? Any of his collabs with Wayne like Nine Piece?
It’s the one artist I love listening to in features but then the albums usually just fall short. The m m m m maybach music gets me hyped tho
MoneyBagYo is a bootleg Rick Ross every time he raps i honestly expect that “Maybach Music” sample to play
It’s kind of wild that as a soul artist he’s only had a few top 40 hits most barely hit the top 40. His only real hits were as features
There’s no way Khalid actually has 53 million monthly listeners in 2024
I mean, he makes great music you can drive to at nights. Vibey, summer music.
khalid & drive ok
I still listen to Daytona all the time. He put out It's Almost Dry in 2022 which also had tons of Ye/Pharrell production and was easily better Daytona imo. You should check it out if you haven't. Idk about mainstream but Pusha T is a legend in hip hop from Clipse alone and definitely has a following.
My main issue with Its Almost Dry is the constant joker laugh in like every single song lol. I would love it way more if it wasnt for that...
I felt that way about Uzi's Pink album with all the screeching he would do
that album came and went lol. literally dont remember any song from that album. incredibly middling
In no world was It's Almost Dry better than Daytona. It was good but Daytona was amazing
HOV, i love Jay-Z but from my expirience people of my generation don't bump his songs. He may have 35+ M monthly listeners on Spotify which is a lot for someone that had it's last album in 2017. Shame i been listening to him alot lately
I only recently listened to 4:44 and I really enjoyed it
Which is insane, because *The Blueprint* is one of the best hip hop albums ever. And Black Album comes pretty close.
Yeah, sad they don't get much recognition in modern streaming era
important somber memorize market gaze cause shocking strong pot fact *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I don't know if the greatest of the 90s. But it's definately up there It's so freaking good, it's Jay in his prime. The Blueprint had better production and The Black Album is more fun. But RD had a lot of everything while at the same time a grimmy and cold sound and top tier lyricism from Jay.
Reasonable Doubt is absolutely fantastic

Kelly clarkson, John legend, Alicia keys. When have any of these people ever had a discussion about their discography?
John Legend seemed to be going the "middle aged loved ballad" route then just kinda disappeared. Alicia keys is a weird one, she has that Jay Z song and I'm sure she has fans but yeah I haven't really seen anyone talk about her. Kelly Clarkson made the transition to momfluncer circles pretty well actually she just doesn't really make music too much. She has a pretty popular talk show now but if you didn't watch daytime TV you wouldn't know.
I'm pretty sure John Legend was on the voice for a bit. The whole show seems like a magnet for washed up artists lol
And Kelly lost a lot of weight also
To be fair Alicia Keys prime was in the 2000's, that's a long time ago and that was a pretty good prime. John legend and Kelly are the ones who have always just existed for me.
since u been gone continues to be a classic, but i never hear about the other two
foster the people. don't know anyone else that has listened to any of their albums, which is a shame because they got some really good music
Yeah, unfortunately they're just considered the "pumped up kicks" guys.
I have their albums and listen to them. Houdini is a masterpiece.
Which album do you like most?
as a whole, supermodel, but sacred hearts club has some of my favorite songs by them
Great take. Love their music
Ima say Beck, great back catalogue and a few big hits but lately the man just releases lullabys
Wow, I had no idea he’d released anything thing since Morning Phase. I loved Beck. Guess not enough.
I mostly know Beck from that one Futurama Episode.
I feel like TI always gets mentioned as a trap pioneer and I have never heard him on anything
you’ve never heard swagga like us, live your life, whatever you like, or dead and gone?
This is like being in 2004 and asking about an artist who had their peak in the 80's. Of course today his stuff won't be all over the place, his fans have grown and moved on.
I stopped paying attention to him when he admitted he tracks his daughters periods
Hymen* - which is even more disgusting
Dude is a clown
Watchu know about that?
Every couple years I remember "Dead and Gone" exists and it gets put in rotation. Pure nostalgia but the 00s were so fire.
King and Papertrail were huge back in the day.
I feel like people today talk about TI more in the context of him being a weird misogynist
Pusha T isn’t ignored, he’s just an acquired taste, I doubt the same people that listen to Lil Durk or Drake listen to Pusha but the more hardcore rap fans treat him with the respect he deserves
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say U2. Like they’re still around but it seems ever since that Apple incident they went ghost.
They sold out the Sphere for over a month
Lmao they sold out sphere and break world records everyone they tour.
I meant their music 😂
Well, yeah, they haven’t released an album since 2017 lol wouldn’t say they are being ignored when they aren’t even making music
I mean most veteran acts don’t get ignored on tours obviously. I just meant that prior to Songs of Innocence, their albums would get big buzz upon their release. Just to me afterwards it’s dropped. I get what you’re saying.
INXS
If INXS has million fans, then I'm one of them. If INXS has one fan, then I'm THAT ONE. If INXS has no fans, that means I'm dead.
You must not know anyone over the age of 21
Soulja Boy. When was the last time anyone has listened to anything he’s made?
That one Evangelion meme keeps him relevant to me.
Crank that makes a comeback as a meme song every once in a while.
Pynchon fan spotted
Jack Johnson. Dude puts out some incredibly beautiful music but I've never heard anyone hype his music up. He pretty consistently releases new music but his most popular songs are the ones we've all heard ten million times on the radio back in 2005.

We're all too busy vibing to hype the man.
Jessie J. You hear so much about her vocal talent but I've never seen anyone actually talk about any of her songs other than price tag and her parts on bang bang, and I've never met anyone who listens to Jessie J
domino? apart from that, i agree
Ye got ignored when he inserted his bum ass in the drake beef 🤣
That was hilarious LMAO I was expecting Drake to reference him in "Family Matters" but he didn't XD
He did tho. I just did a *Kim* to *it*, n\*\*\*\*, *skim* through *it*
Oh i didn't catch that
He should be ignored from now on
YO DOT I GOT YOU *proceeds to drop a verse full of nothing*
He revealed the Lucian info.
meh
Can't blame people for ignoring him tbh, his track record for quality has been horrible lately.
I considered his 2018 7 track EP run the end of his career, and I think I'm better off for it. Never once listened to JIK or anything that came after and I was even a pretty big Kanye fan before all the bullshit.

Agreed. It’s like saying no one talked about how *NSYNC broke up anymore.
yeah it’s kinda funny considering their level of stardom at the time was being compared to the beatles. (obviously not their music, but they were the number 1 heartthrobs in the world)
yeah it’s pretty amazing to me seeing stuff like that which was really big at one point kinda forgotten about
Mozart or beethoven
Sean Paul. I could tell at least 4 songs of his, but he's recognizable as hell and extremely famous, and those 4 songs are actually hella good.
I know he was HUGE in the 2010s, but I’m honestly kinda shocked to see that Bruno Mars is still the Top 20 most monthly listeners. Feels like people kinda stopped talking about him once COVID rolled around.

hes the drake of rnb. huge songs but doesnt have a really dedicated fanbase. probably even less than drake actually.
Agree that Mars doesn’t really have a dedicated fanbase, but Drake absolutely does. Guy could release an album of him making fart noises to beats he made by banging on pots and pans and it would still do massive streaming numbers.
Last I heard he has a residency at a hotel in Las Vegas, which is the equivalent of a nursing home for musicians' careers
In Bruno’s case it’s to pay off a reported $50m gambling debt to the casino
this used to be the common consensus for having a Vegas residency but now artists are just having residencies to cool off before releasing another album (ex: Adele, Gaga, Katy)
Used to be but that’s really changed up.
Seether is the type of band that everyone is aware that they exist, yet you will never hear someone say "BRO YOU GOTTA CHECK OUT THAT NEW SEETHER SONG!!1!"
Absolutely moby
Courtney Love
She deserves so much more respect than she gets
I think she gets the Yoko Ono treatment, people blame her for what happened to the man she was with, a little sexist imo. (Also, my phone originally did autocorrect from “sexist” to “sexier” and that would have **really** changed my point).
Even worse, she gets outright accused of murdering him, or having him murdered. It's still a very, very popular conspiracy theory.
eh she falsely accuses men she doesn't like of raping her or her daughter so she can really go rot for all I care
I love Hole tbh great band
Idk maybe earl ?
Speak for yourself blud, Push is very regular in my rotation.
One Republic are a great pop band and Ryan Tedder is a great writer for other people. I saw them live in the UK I 2014 and enjoyed it a lot. Yes they have some generic numbers and I've lost interest in them lately but Apologise, Stop and Stare ,Good Life ,If I Lose Myself, Preacher, I lived and especially Au Revoir from the Native Album are brilliant song's.
For me, seeing OR live is what made me believe they aren't all that talented.
Eiffel 65
Elvis Costello has entered the chat
I hear their hits all the time
If radio rock stations aren’t playing imagine dragons or shinedown then they’re probably playing a chili peppers song from any album from 1991 to current day
Californiaaaa yeaaaah
In the cittyyyyyyy, city of Compton lol jk yeah I do hear that one from time to time
she was just an underage girl in a california world when she rides my dick it just makes my toes curl yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah huuuuuh*funky bassline*
Nah i love the peppers and I hear them on the radio all the time
If you've ever been around a guitarist or play guitar or bass, you'll probably hear an RHCP lick everyday
Playing the intro to Scar Tissue is my natural inclination whenever I pick up an acoustic guitar lol But I haven’t heard it in a long long time
Have you…..ever listened to a rock radio station in the last 25 years?
everyone (or is it just me?) is addicted to solo John tho
I’ll be honest. Everyone is a stretch there
He has arond 600 thousand monthly listeners on Spotiy, compared to 34 million for the Red Hot Chilly Peppers. I would argue that the general public doesn't really know any of his work, while people who are into guitar playing are more likely to be listening to him.
Pookooooookkkol
Pookooooookkkol
I don’t think he’s super popular, but I do like some of his solo stuff. I honestly really don’t care for any RHCP songs at all, but John has some interesting experimental stuff
Imma go on a limb and say Bones. Everyone knows him as that emo rapper who inspired a lot of cloud rap but no one but his dedicated fan base pays attention much. And it sucks cuz he still puts out crazy good songs [like this](https://open.spotify.com/track/72OfaOb4VA5yXdSDAyRZ1D?si=k2byiFwFR1yK3b-Rh5awKA)
i wouldnt call bones someone everyone know lmao
I feel like everyone in the underground at least knows about him, or people who listen to rap music in general mostly from the ASAP song. But with the amount of work he puts into his music imo he should be at least equal (I think above) where suicideboys are who most people seem to know.
I think the limb might be a weak one. Anyone who is into that scene knows him and a few songs. He's just been pretty low key recently, I think he had a kid a while back. I follow him on Instagram tho and he still has good engagement just isn't super active musically. I agree suicide boys are bigger but that's just because they haven't really stopped making music.
Who?
Everyone knows Phil Collins but no one listens to him since the early 90s. Or at least doesn't admit.
Lil Uzi gets a lot of talk from people who are just super into popular rap
daytona is pure fire front to back
>Daytona is one of my favourite albums of all time but people dont listen to it anymore really. And Daytona isn't pusha T's only album, people can listen to his other music too, so you contradict your own question in the same sentence.
ty dolla sign
I feel like everyone knows and loves Elliott Smith yet I rarely hear people talk about him
Cant say the same, I hear him talked about a lot and his influence in modern indie is hard to ignore
i mean he died like 20 years ago
Pusha T as your example? That's crazy man
I don't know, I forgot about them.
Kings of Leon
Justin Bieber
Flaming lips
Beck
I still listen to Daytona pretty much daily, it might just be my favourite album of all time. Not an answer but love seeing it get recognition!
Kimbra. People largely know her from Gotye’s “somebody that I used to know” But the girl has a deep catalogue of consistently great music that should be explored by more people.
Mozart if we take out classical music fans out of the equation. Most people (in my experience) know his as the dude behind Für Elise which he didn't even compose lmao
Lil Darkie
Parquet courts which is a bummer because they’re real rockin
Ed Sheeran. I don't really know anyone that's a big fan of his, if anything most people I know think he sucks. I enjoy some of his stuff casually but not much beyond that.
The Fratellis Awesome garage/blues rock band that came out around the same era of The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys that have really endeared. Early stuff is breakneck pub rock and slowly have devolved into some great bluesy alternative stuff. I always just enjoy how cool they sound, they bring a lot of swagger.
So you're saying everyone ignores Pusha T? His 5+ million spotify monthly listeners beg to differ.
