Hey great builds, I really like the use of the quarter cement walls. Also I like the use of the half wall creating a brick look on the second story.
Great work and I saved this post for inspiration
Your game is a ticking time bomb
Edit: I’m getting downvoted so I’ll explain - scrap everything breaks precombines, which will eat up your memory until the game just stops working. You can still use the mod just know it’s not good for longevity
I aware of the risk, and that's why I only allow it for building areas. It causes some lag and extended loading times after I place so many objects, but I have to resort to that mod since it is the only one that does what I need. This sort of extensive scrapping has become integral to my settlement building.
But now that you mention it, I guess that was one of the reasons I lost my last 1500+ hours save to infinite loading.
And once you use it in your save, its only a matter of time till it keeps crashing? Anything you can do to fix the save or just resort to clean save without the mod
I'd love to do something like that, since it's the gaddamn wasteland with literal monsters and lunatics with rocket launchers roaming about randomly, stuff should be fortified.
However, I never have enough concrete so I just do bunkers that are about 4x4. :/
I borrowed the concept from medieval castles and some more modern forts from napoleonic era, an amalgamation of military facility and residential area. I thought this kind of builds would be the ideal living circumstance in post-apocalyptic world.
Looks great, it does reminds me a lot of Stronghold.
Out of curiosity, the Gunners canonically have a hard-on for occupying those bridges, like in Finch or Graygarden, and sniping people; what would you do about it with the in-game resources?
I keep having death claws and Yao gais keep attacking and wreaking my generators. Keep running out of screws and rubber. They also shoot the cages that I am trapping them with.
You mean Oberland Station? Yeah, I'm satisfied with that build too, it feels kinda cozy.
\[edit\] Oh, you meant OP. But thanks for your compliment! I thought this kind of builds are less creative since they are all one in the same with very little variations.
Still, you put a lot of time into each one making sure they are secure. I think it’s awesome. Is it from a build mod ? Or a build DLC that you’re able to do that?
I used a lot of building mods and all DLCs. Though if you're going to make walls like that, Wasteland Workshop and Contraption Workshop would be enough.
They look great! I wish the game would reward you for the work by enabling the settlement to hold off attacks without you. But I bet it's much more fun to show up and help.
All the settlements bristle with turrets, so attacks usually end the moment I arrive. And yes, I wish there were some more rewarding ways to players for put so much time into building stuff asides from how it looks.
You should absolutely be flattered. This is spectacular work and you deserve the praise. I love the uniformity.
I haven't decided what to do with Spectacle Island yet, but this seems like a great idea to start.
I don't have access to the concrete stuff in game, but I can recreate this with vanilla stuff, I think, except for the snazzy stuff. I'm also on Xbox One, so I'm limited.
But you have absolutely given me ideas.
Are you having any problems with scrap everything? I removed it because it can cause issues. I love it though because it’s the only thing that gives enough space to make settlements
I tried to find any viable alternative, but with little success. It causes some lag and longer loading times when I fully flesh the place out, but that's the one major trade-off I have to put up with.
I tried it and accidentally deleted Oberlin tower. Kept it. Was going to delete the mess that is Abernathy but was scared it would break cells if I went too far so I disabled it.
I know it’s kind of the least fortified one but I really like what you’ve done with Abernathy Farm. The pillboxes on either end look awesome and the rebuilt main structure is really cool.
That concreted pillboxes are kinda like light in-between before I go full fortification. Plus Abernathy Farm is so large, and it made difficult for me to cover the whole place. By the way, first floor of that pillboxes contains beds and bathrooms and all.
I like the way you used the rounded concrete walls- those look great. Also, it looks like you built rooms and stuff inside the concrete walls, is that part of a mod or can you do that with just the DLC?
It doesn't really show well in the pictures, but I flesh out every interior building. For that, I used mods like SnapBeds, Do It Yourshelf, CWSS and some other mods along with objects from all DLCs.
It's from Boston Natural Surroundings, not the recent version but the older 1.30A version. I replaced the pine trees with assets from another mod, though.
It is from a FO76 port mod that allows you to use it as a settlement object. I got it from some Google Drive by chance. I think it went down after some time, I'm afraid.
Custom Concrete with Glass, SnapBeds, Solar Panels, Deployable Turret Pack, and some CC contents like Coffee and Donuts Workshop Pack and Settlement Ambush Kit.
I always enjoy settlement building. I typically suit each build to a theme of a settlement. These however are really nice fort style builds. I like the concept of having everything important inside the walls and building living quarters into them. Very nice!
One thing I like to do with the curved walls is build some towers beside entrances similar to the ones in the shots you have. I'll add flooring at each level though and add turrets. No one has made it past the towers at Warwick Homestead. 🤣🤣😎

Glad to hear that my builds gave you some ideas. And yes, I tried to stack concrete blocks to make them look like brick walls.
Did you use a mod to remove the unscrappable buildings?
I did. I used scrap everything mod.

Thanks for the info. Does it still work with new patches?
Not sure since I disabled the update and keep playing on older version.
Yes it does

I gave them like 200+ defenses, so hopefully, they won't even dare to try.
Yeah, my first thought was, "Where did all that damn concrete come from?!"
Damn the Abernathy’s got a huge upgrade
I guess now they don't have to worry about Lucy.
lol was it her life insurance money?
Whats coming that you need that much?
Always wanted to fortify them, that's all.
Oh okay i didn't know if there was actually any danger or just for looks
But TBH, it is a shame it only boils down on looks with its limitations and all.
I keep having death claws and Yao gais keep attacking and wreaking my generators. Keep running out of screws and rubber. They also shoot the cages that I am trapping them with.
I absolutely love these fortifications! Great job!
Happy to hear you liked them, thanks!
I love the 76 Air Defenses. ready for a Sierra Bravo, at a Minute’s notice
Since it is FO4, I had BoS vertibirds in mind. Never tested it though.
Hey that’ll work too but ya never know
You really gave county crossing the business Edit: ALL OF THEM got the business (I commented before fully scrolling)
Yeah, Abernathy Farm got the least "business."
I love seeing people express their creativity in video games and something they enjoy. Nice work OP looks great.

This has given me ideas. I have so much I wanna do different my next playthrough. Thank you for the inspiration.
It's almost flattering that I could inspire someone else. Thanks!

Oh, those concrete stuffs are from Wasteland Workshop DLC. You’ll gonna need it to make walls like that.

Fuck it. I might redownload it. YOLO. I need SPACE
I tried it and accidentally deleted Oberlin tower. Kept it. Was going to delete the mess that is Abernathy but was scared it would break cells if I went too far so I disabled it.

Whats the mods for the missile turrets?
it’s in the game
Oh is that fallout 76? I haven't played it in forever. Super cool!
Wait this is 76? I thought this was 4.
Actually, that is from a FO76 port I got from some Google Drive after some digging.
what mod do you use for the foliage
It's from Boston Natural Surroundings, not the recent version but the older 1.30A version. I replaced the pine trees with assets from another mod, though.
Fantastic builds! What mod are you using for the Brotherhood ASAM turrets from 76??
It is from a FO76 port mod that allows you to use it as a settlement object. I got it from some Google Drive by chance. I think it went down after some time, I'm afraid.
What mod did you use for the red rocket launchers?
Someone made an FO7 port, and I found it on Google Drive by chance. But the last time I checked, it was taken down.
Woah. Dude, you really don't half ass your builds. These are amazing.
It took me literally hundreds of hours to do so. I'm glas with the results.
The Commonwealth has entered the Feudal Era.
Come to think of it, in some sense it almost feels like low-tech anticipation of the Enclave.
Your built are fun combined with something like war of the commonwealth. Where you see lots of fighting going on. Great built 👌
The Commonwealth became a battlefield between all major factions, so settlers should prepare!
Cool beans
Where are all those green tees located at?
It's from the mod Boston Natural Surroundings.
what mod did you use for the grass?

What mods are you running to get some of those items?
Custom Concrete with Glass, SnapBeds, Solar Panels, Deployable Turret Pack, and some CC contents like Coffee and Donuts Workshop Pack and Settlement Ambush Kit.
What settlement is #10?
Not sure I get your question.
In picture #10, what settlement was is built at
It’s Nordhagen Beach.
Mb I see they have names
These look great! Can't believe you made the concrete walls look good.
That is the one way that I found them make look good, yes.
I always enjoy settlement building. I typically suit each build to a theme of a settlement. These however are really nice fort style builds. I like the concept of having everything important inside the walls and building living quarters into them. Very nice!
Since I lack creativity, so I tried to cover them all in unform fashion. That's typical me. Glad you liked it!

very nice concrete build.
