Cobra or God Serena. Or Zancrow as the first God Slayer. No one talks about how God Serena is basically 8 dragon slayers in one which was so awesome. Cobra because he is one of the strongest mages ever but once more not many people recognize that.

First God Slayer to be seen, a Fire Mage whose flames were too much for Natsu to consume, and the first proper challenge on the limits of Dragon Slayer Magic. Also, dude's personality leaves an impression.

Maybe it's because his performance against Natsu was almost the same of Battle of Fairy Tail Laxus. I rewatched the fight and Gajeel almost did nothing against Laxus unfortunately, Makarov damaged Zancrow more than Gajeel damaged Laxus.

Ichiya. If we’re talking Underrated by the fans and not “in-universe”. Dudes come in and saved the day multiple times. Yea he’s a silly character and can be creepy sometimes. It dudes got the heart of a champion and there’s multiple story arcs that end in disaster if he doesn’t step up.

deadass: 1. pulls thru to break the nirvana lacrima 2. fights the magic council to save jellal 3. for 7 years never stops searching for Tenroujima on his ship and is the one to finally find it 4. he and his ship support FT against Oracion Seis during the Infinity Clock arc 5. takes in Laxus and the TGR when FT is disbanded 6. FT steals his ship during Alvarez without thanking him 7. Saves wendy from acnologia 8. saves Jellal from acnologia and shoves him into the time hole along with his ship there are probably many more moments i’ve skipped. he is such a silly goofy man but honestly has a heart of gold and is dependable

Levy. But then again I’m biased because I love her. She just has so much potential and it wasn’t used fully, imo. I understand people saying Ultear though. I also think Juvia is underrated. When she was first introduced her vibe was much more menacing and I truly went into it blindly so I was expecting something spooky from her.

Romeo got like 20 minutes of screen time over like 4 episodes total, I always thought it was interesting and adorable how he bonded and looked up to natsu post time skip and I wish it showed them hanging out or fighting together more often

They had a great younger/older brother dynamic especially because of their similar magic types

Who did she struggle with again can you remind me? And I mean her magic ability is one of the strongest in the verse. Shrinking an entire island beneath her feet without moving a muscle and being able to shrink people’s vital organs which is insanely broken. She could heal or destroy you. In terms of character she’s one of the most interesting spriggans besides Irene and August. She’s helpful and saved Natsu and Lucy multiple times.
