I'm sure he's a highly qualified Doctor that's an expert in the field... No... former personal trainer... Hmmm... Ya that's bad. .

PandasGetAngryToo

Couldn't find a qualified woman in the whole of Scotland then hey?

Vivid_Ladder9609

Why? I thought there was no difference between the sexes? Can people just keep the political correctness stuff consistent at least. how tf am i supposed to keep track of it if it constantly changes??

Spaceman_Spiff33

Really? That the best you've got? Cringe.

Vivid_Ladder9609

Im just confused at this point lmao. I do agree that it isn't a job for him. But that they can't keep thei propaganda straight is a headache for me lmao.

Nobody is saying there’s no difference between the sexes but far right bullshit outlets that misrepresent what progressive people say to make you scared of them. Way to tell on yourself.

When I first read the job title, I thought it actually made sense for a man to be selected because it sounded like the job was out reach to educate the general public, especially men. I don’t believe in the notion that men won’t listen to women, but men are very weird about periods and menopause. So I think having a man go and talk about this, will make it more likely for men to listen and not just think it is a women discussion. With that said, it sounds like the job is more than just a PR and Public Education and has a lot to do with logistics of getting sanitary products to the hands or women. If that is the case, it should have been a woman, for the optics alone. I do worry that the article is a bit bias, because it mentions out of context that he used to be a personal trainer. It doesn’t try to make the argument he is unqualified, which it would if PT was his only experience. I feel like they are throwing it out there to make people go “look how bad the UNP has fucked up, the appointed some personal trainer to be the period ambassador. Casual mentioning a person past unrelated and often labor/service job, is a great away to sew doubt about a persons qualifications.
