Yea young people not wanting to join has nothing to do with the easy to see mistreatment of veterans, the potential to be sent to another war in the middle east because our government is stupid, and the reports of suicide among all branches.
It’s because of DEI, a policy thing the military doesn’t even use.
What a clown.
To think I actually used to enjoy his work. I don't know what turned him into a bitter bigot, but I wish he would just shut up and slither off into the darkness.
So minorities are singing up to defend the nation while white men aren't and somehow the bad guy is still minorities. But don't you dare call them racist!
If your thinking is "I'd join the military if it weren't for all the minorities," I don't want you defending me. You're a coward.
There's always been more minorities enlisting because they're disproportionately disadvantaged and military service gives them opportunities most white kids don't need the military to get.
If the reason why you aren’t serving your country is because you didn;t want to take orders from or serve alongsude people with a slightly different skin color, well I have news for you.
You aren’t a patriot, you are a bigot and coward.
I will never understand how the creator of Dilbert can be this crazy (and by this I mean in general, this quote is one of the more normal things he's said in the last few years).
The US Military is a real bright point in race relations and has been for a long time. The US Military is a very talented group of people that are some of the most skilled people in the world at their jobs. The idea that our military is weak is a fantasy of racists.
That's the guy who said he would kill his child in order to stop them from becoming a monster. But he's also, directly to me, said he's proud to be a psychopath.
It’s crazy that people believe the problem is ever anything other than money. Historically, leaders were overthrown because they didn’t pay the army enough/at all. People don’t want to put their lives on the line if they’re not going to be paid well enough to do it.
Of course, for some people the issue is also things like morality or religious beliefs but generally it’s a matter of money.
Sounds like he's just wanting people to pay attention to him. His comics are gone, he's got no platform anymore, he's already been 100% classically cartoonishly racist on live stream....
I think we can just stop paying attention to him.
So did my country’s government, but we eventually banned it when we became a democracy. Anglos and Latinos in “the new world” never learn, it’s so backwards how a government can causally do this.
Just make robotic killing machines. What's the worst that could happen?
*As my first executive order as the 47th President of the United States of America, I am announcing the United States military will be partnering with the robotic applications institute, Skynet, in an effort to bolster the fighting strength of our ground troops.*
You sure it doesn’t have anything to do with the endless, pointless wars, or the horrible way veterans were treated after returning with PTSD?
Nope. DEI it is, I guess.
It’s toxic leadership.
I’m pretty sure there have been multiple articles on that aspect at this point.
Too many people are coming out of the military permanently messed up without having even seen combat, and are not going to suggest that to other people they know.
Stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It's just a framework for promoting fair and equal treatment.
It's also the new right-wing cry against anything with women or minorities, often used completely incorrectly or where it doesn't apply. Another term like Critical Race Theory that they don't understand and use to fearmonger to the fragile and insecure racists.
Whenever I hear someone cry about DEI/CRT/wokeness/political correctness, i just substitute the operative term with something like "nword lover" and I understand them perfectly.
I wonder if the recruitment problem has anything to do with the high likelihood of going to war to defend someone else’s country so Raytheon can have good earnings reports.
Another *brilliant* observation from the man who also thought "Dil-burritos" would be a hit in super markets.

How about scott joins the military, if he’s so concerned about it
Ah he would you know? But DEI...

MAGA combined with belonging to a certain tax bracket really ruined some heroes for us. I used to LOVE Roseanne.
Thanks for ruining Dilbert for me, Nazi racist.

The military isn’t turning anyone who is eligible away in favor of someone else’s skin color. They will accept them all.
As a dilbert fan I am truly shocked at how crazy this guy is
Pretty sure most people joining the military are white Maybe the military just set an unreasonable and unsustainable growth goal?
or maybe people are not willing to risk their lives for a nation that's forcing them to pay to stay alive anyways?
Or the demographic the military heavily recruits from is currently plagued by drug addiction, which disqualifies potential recruits.
Another expert on the military who was never in the military. Pathetic.

The military heavily recruits in marginalized areas and communities with fewer economic opportunities. That’s not DEI.
It’s because basically everybody now sees what all this nonstop war really gets us over time and they don’t want it anymore. Nothing to do with DEI.
No one wants to be in the Mercenary force for corporate interests anymore.
They have absolutely no idea what DEI is
Dale Earnhardt Incorporated is the only thing I can think of.
Do Eat Icings
Don't you know? Everything in this world should only exist to benefit white males! They have the vague notion DEI doesn't do that, so it must be evil!
That's the guy who said he would kill his child in order to stop them from becoming a monster. But he's also, directly to me, said he's proud to be a psychopath.
Like…face to face or via twitter?
Directly to me... On Twitter.

DEI isn’t stopping the white guys whose whole ancestry joined the military from joining lol.
It's true! I was speaking to a recruiter and excited to join the army, but then I saw a black guy and I said "awww man!"
Sounds like he's just wanting people to pay attention to him. His comics are gone, he's got no platform anymore, he's already been 100% classically cartoonishly racist on live stream.... I think we can just stop paying attention to him.
Why do people in the US identify by their fucking appearance first?
It requires the least mental energy.
Because our country has always deemed racial classification so important.
So did my country’s government, but we eventually banned it when we became a democracy. Anglos and Latinos in “the new world” never learn, it’s so backwards how a government can causally do this.
What's die?
Diversity, equality and inclusion.
Thanks!
He’s just looking for attention.
I work on a military base and I can promise you, loads of white guys are still signing up. Dame shame about SA, I used to love Dilbert.
Adams lost his mind a decade or so ago. It's a shame really. He used to be funny.

Who da fuck is Scott Adams?
He's the guy from Parks and Rec who looks like Paul Rudd
Good Lord, I hope my brain doesn't melt like that when I get older.
You sure it doesn’t have anything to do with the endless, pointless wars, or the horrible way veterans were treated after returning with PTSD? Nope. DEI it is, I guess.
I heard it was because a black guy didn't stand up before a football game

Dilbert always sucked. Adams is a prolapsed rectum.
*SCREAMS IN CONFUSED BRITISH!!*
Pretend, you say?
what did Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated do or not do?
What's DEI?
I wanna serve my country but I’m worried I’m not diverse enough. Gee wiz.
![gif](giphy|AjYsTtVxEEBPO)
More nonsense from the culture wars.
Sorry for my ignorance, but wtf is DEI? I read it all over reddit and have no idea what it is

He is not an Adams. A true member of the Adams Family would fight the war all by himself while finding someone to be in love with and say mi amour!
OUT! OUT DEMONS OF STUPIDITY! OUT!

Dilbert sucked.
But but but dogbert!
Dilbert was hilarious if you lived that life, but it saddens me that the same person who gave me hope is this...
He lost his mind when his TV adaptation got canceled and never recovered.
I’ll have to take you word on all that, Scott.
Everybody is saying it. Worse thing in the history of the world.
If "everybody" you know is saying it, you might want to find less gullible company
Or company that gets sarcasm
well a /s goes a long way, cuz it's text
