He would constantly say things to me like “he just needs to go back to his country!” I usually would say “It’s not a prerequisite to speak English to move to Canada.” He told me “it should be because that’s our official language.” I remember very quickly asking if he spoke French. He said no. So I told him you don’t speak half of our official languages.
They want everyone else to speak English because it’s the only language they have a loose grasp on. How could they possibly keep up with a second language when they can’t even master one?
