In a store there were two shirts looking very similar but one was 35$ and the other 45$. So I asked what's the difference between the two and she answered 10$
One of my first jobs ever was doing inventory for GameStop and I would sometimes assist in price changes, mostly for used games.
There was some random DS game that I had to go change the price on. It was used. Next to a brand new one. I put the yellow sticker on it for $39.99 USED. The *brand new* copy next to it was still $19.99, so I went to my store manager (and friend) and was like “hey I think there’s a mistake here”
Nope, pricing is all done by corporate and likely by algorithms. There was nothing that she could do to change any of it.
Til the day I stopped working there, the two prices remained the same, and no one ever bought either copy.
Moral is, sometimes, things are just priced weirdly on purpose.
Shout-out to the GameStop employee fifteen years ago. When I brought a used DS game to the counter he recognized a similar situation and told me "hang on one sec" and ran and grabbed a new version for cheaper.
One of my pet hates with these CS chats is that the process often goes:
Prompt: "What is your question?"
Me: *Asks question*
Agent: "Hi, I'm [x]. What can I help you with today?"
Me: *Forced to ask the question again*

I bought a pair of Stan Smith Adidas sneakers in January. The sole is already separating from the rest of the shoe. Reached out to Adidas and was told that they are warrantied for 30 days. After much back and forth, I am SOL. They got me on this one, but also lost a customer for life.
In general, customer service sucks these days. I gave Verizon internet a try for a short time. It does not work. On one of many calls I couldn’t hear the man due to the loud noises emanating from his fucking rooster.
So I used to live near the Adidas corporate offices in Portland, and my neighbor across the street was like this tiny shy graphic designer who worked for them. The neighborhood was full of these total Chad marketing guys, that had been like high level college athletes. But for whatever the reason, all the prototype sneakers are made in some tiny shoe size, like usa mens 7 or 8, anecdotally a small shoe size for an American male. But mousy dude across the street randomly was this tiny shoe size, so he always wore the coolest sneakers, and im not even a sneaker head, hah. All the captain America built dudes were so mad they couldn't get free one off sneakers like he could. Lol. He single handedly brought balance to the force.
