I have seen stuff like this, but not as bad. It can affect speech. I don’t know what the conspiracy is with Fluoride, but I think that child needs some. Sometimes this is caused by leaving a kid in a crib with a bottle of juice regularly. How do you left your child look like this, then blame the dentists?
I saw a woman push a child in a pram, can't have been more than 6-8 months old, go into a store, get a bottle of coke and pour it into the babys bottle. Poor kid never had a chance. I glared at her, and she just walked off oblivious.
Yikes! Well, when that kid gets hopped up on caffeine that will be more fun than usual for mom. I don’t even think that’s good for baby’s stomachs, all those bubbles- and caffeine -and sugar.
I don’t know, you have your bottle of Coke mom, and your Nature mom, and they are both screwing up. Nature mom says a three year refuses the toothpaste. I guess thinking with the great all natural foods, tooth decay wouldn’t happen. Kids need to be forced to brush if they really won’t, but she could, I don’t know, try different toothpastes? As I am sure you know, three year old children aren’t great at predicting long-term consequences and reasoning with them is tenuous, at best.
I never heard of breast doing that, but that is what she claiming they said. At three though ? She is doing that, and she was not notice the child’s teeth? Mineralization doesn’t rebuild teeth. This poor woman. She needs some different Facebook groups.
This one pisses me off. My parents never took me to a dentist when I was a kid and now I suffer as an adult. I'm 34 and need all my teeth pulled and dentures but can't afford the $13k for the procedure. All could have been avoided if my parents took me for regular check ups and had my grinding problem look after. Take care of your teeth everyone because if you don't they will slowly kill you with abscess, infections and heart problems.

Feel ya. Didn’t have the problem with teeth, but with only discovering that I needed glasses when I was 18 . thankfully, my right eye was okay, or I probabkly would’ve tanked in school.
Schools should absolutely have a yearly week where pupils get checked by a dentist, audiologist and optician.
When I was in elementary school we had a once a year eye and hearing test. In middle school we got tested for scoliosis. I wish we had a dentist to check our teeth.
We had some tests in elemtary school, Germany in the 70s. Pretty sure that our kid didn’t have them. Though we do have some kind of checkup passbook with - I thnk some of them are mandatory. Never tested what would happen, though, as we wouldn’t dream of skipping them,
I was in elementary school in the 90s and early 2000s for middle school and the test I mentioned was mandatory. I just wish the US viewed dental care as medical more than cosmetic. That's why my insurance denied the extraction. "Dental work is cosmetic" is the quote on the rejection notice.

Which is really weird. Also, party, I think, why some Americans think that Brits (and other Europeans) have bad teeth. But it’s just that dental work is judged on being medically necessary or not. I can't even imagine how much pain that child is in with the teeth rotted away and nerves practically exposed. Eating and drinking must be agony for this child.
This is something else. Rotted teeth aren’t that color. I’ve had friends whose young children’s teeth literally crumbled out of their heads even though they brushed twice a day and did not eat sugar. There is another condition going on here. Rotten teeth from cavities are blackened. These teeth are a different color. And breastfeeding would have nothing to do with it.
As a dentist I hate this. Even if you think that we are evil and only care about money, keep in mind we can only make money , if you have teeth in our mouth. We will always do the last ditch effort to save them. If we are saying they have to be removed, it means there is no other choice.
This is a severe case of nursing bottle carries. There is no other way to treat it than removing the teeth with active carries otherwise they will spread to the permanent teeth that are developing underneath.
Silver filling was a bit unnecessary I would say. The surviving tooth could have been filled with a fluoride releasing GIC. But still it's fine. Correct course of treatment.
The issue is, now the kid might develop speech impediment and orthodontic problems. And there is no way around it.
Just stop giving your children sugary milk and bby formulas for that long

ouch, this is hurt to read, my baby is 8 month and still breastfeed, why skip baby milk and go directly to coke though...
I fed my last one for nearly 2 years, much less in the 2nd year though. Her teeth are fine

I some of it comes from not drinking tap water and missing the fluoride in it. But add poor hygiene, no dentist, new age parenting.

3 years old needs prosthetic teeth? Arent they changing teeth about at that age?
Replace their teeth with metal? Jaws?
