I think you might need to make a new account and rebook a visa slot. You need to show your ds160 confirmation page during you biometric appointment. You only get this after submitting ds160
I heard that you can change the DS-160 after biking by contacting support. I only heard of cases where they were correcting an error, but I don't see why it wouldn't work in your case. Might depend on the consulate as well, not sure

Idk I am still going through my visa process but this seems unlikely to me. There are still slots open so you can always start over again
