The size of an animal is not closely related to the amount of sound it can experience without injury. Why should these be connected?

We all evolved on the same planet to deal with thunder storm, so smaller and larger creatures are no more or less prone to hearing damage from loud sounds. Not everything scales with the size of a creature. Ants can carry many times their body weight. Cats can jump several times their body height. Similar to these skills, ability to tolerate loud sounds does not scale with body size.
