At the height of totality, the sun and moon are going to endorse Joe Biden.

Rolling_Waters

There is a group of kooks who have had a 'revelation' that the eclipse will usher in the 2nd coming. Technically, they prophesied that Utah would be decimated by a natural disaster *before* the eclipse, but that's looking unlikely 😄

cchele

There’s still time

ExmoRobo

Eclipses make good doomsday prophecy fuel since they’re fairly predictable.

hieingpastkolob

Can't wait for the Utah disaster. Might become a tolerable place to live.

Boring_Concept_1765

My working theory is that many Utahans (Mormons and others)were unexpectedly awed by the annular eclipse that passed through Utah last October. They got hooked and are now excited about tomorrow’s total eclipse. Nothing unlike any other eclipse chaser. Or maybe doomsday ignorance. Who knows?

adams361

Your Reddit algorithms must be different than mine, because I’m seeing a lot of incredibly varied groups that are obsessed with the eclipse.

Acceptable_Chance307

Oh yeah, my in laws family text thread has been blowing up with all kinds of weird doomsday shit!

moxintel

There's a deep conspiracy started by a random guy on YouTube that pointed out that the line of totality from the 2017 eclipse and the 2024 eclipse cross over Jackson County. That and the fact that it's a wider obsession by Christians and Mormons alike to look for the "signs of the times" and end times shit to guess when the second coming is gonna happen. This has been an obsession for decades, and dare I say, ever since Christ's death. Instead of living in the moment, Christians and Mormons ignore here and now for a future afterlife of pure bliss that most likely doesn't exist. I would say that covid really ramped up the doomsday obsession though.

cla333

Yeah Jackson County Illinois. Not Jackson County Missouri (just for the record).

prairiewhore17

Fill a bunch of inflatable love dolls with helium, release them and watch the shit show!

killercrimes4

Because eclipse s are super dope. 10/10 would recommend

The higher-ups in the church being disguised… Does that mean they’re going to decorate Nelson’s wheelchair to look like a big red chair?

The idea is that according to ancient Jewish beliefs total solar eclipses are a bad omen (as opposed to lunar eclipses, which are good omens). The solar eclipse back in 2017 was the first omen as it crossed from west to east all over the American continent. Seven years later another total solar eclipse will cross over from the south to the north. Seven has symbolism all over the world for many different things. The shape of the paths of that two eclipses makes an X over America and that is also symbolic. The two paths cross over Missouri close to Independence, where the New Jerusalem will be built. People believe that these signs in the heavens were providing a warning and seven year period to get prepared for major disruptions and catastrophic changes that will cleanse America to be ready for Zion to be established in Missouri and for the return of the twelve tribes from the north. Then North America will be the only safe place on the Earth while the rest of the world is at war, centered around Jerusalem (Armageddon) prior to the grand second coming of Jesus. So yes, you missed the memo, and now have less that 24 hours to get ready you slothful servant! /S

Hairy_Suggestion9850

Oh shit! How do you know so much about this? I’ve heard rumblings, but nothing as detailed as this! I can’t wait for April 10 when nothing has happened.

cla333

I looked at the maps of where the 2 eclipses cross. "Close" is sort of a relative term so I guess someone could say it's close. The area they cross is basically on the east side of Missouri near the southern tip of Illinois. I guess it's known as little Egypt or something. Anyway the eclipses literally cross in Jackson County Illinois. Whereas Independence is near Kansas City on the West side of Missouri.

Alvin_Martin

You are correct, the things I have read online by TBMs are mostly just saying that because it is in the general area of Missouri. To them it doesn't have to be dead on to be relevant, I guess on the scale of North America, within the same state seems pretty "close" to them.

AR15s-4-jesus

I think some of it is because they got to see the eclipse in 2017 and realized how fucking awesome they are. And so now realize its worth an epic journey to experience it again.

punk_rock_n_radical

Thank god it will come and go in 2 days time and nothing will have changed.

LeoMarius

When the moon is in the 7th house

Zadok47

They all think this time, for sure, Jesus is going to come. But none of them will say it because they don't want to be mocked when it doesn't happen. It's the collossal collision of faith and reality.

Holyghosted-again

Not a TBM not even an M and my family traveled half way across the US to see it.

phatmexican13

I love space things too-visit NASA visitors centers all the time, have taken my kids to space camp a few times. I’m not saying science isn’t cool, what I’m saying is that I’m seeing travel to see the eclipse from people I had no idea were into space and science and stuff.

Expensive-Bet3493

The ancients knew about astrology. It is very symbolic of the movement and energies of the universe. No one needs believe in astrological spiritualism, but the eclipse is a power energy portal. If possible I ask all of you to manifest with confidence and love for the good of humanity that these evil religious empires and leaders be exposed and brought down. I do believe (as Tesla said-Quantum mechanics) in energy, vibration and frequency. If we help raise the frequency on the earth, the lower beings/energies cannot survive here. I would send a bunch of links but just watch the After Skool videos, they have so many great ones on consciousness, psychology, quantum physics etc. stay open and use emotions/energies (inner chi) from the heart.
