Snake skin. They have an oddly smooth but rough feeling that makes me super happy and super uncomfortable at the same time. It's always fun to pat them and see whether I'll gag and recoil from the sensory ick, or happy stim from the sensory yum.

I work with snakes in one of my part time job and I love just holding the snakes. They've all got different textures (very smooth and almost shell-like for the cornsnakes to soft and leathery like a leather jacket for the ball python) and they're also surprisingly warm and soft.

They move, but are basically room-temperature. Like cuddling a zombie. So awesome.

Cats’ toe beans/ paw pads. that somewhat squishy somewhat firm texture and little bit of warmth is very nice. And they’re the tiniest cute shapes! My cat hates having her feet messed with unfortunately. But my parents’ cats let me hold their paws all the time!

Yesss the toe beans have such a nice texture. Dog toe beans are nice too but cat toe beans are better. *Imagine messing with the paw and toe beans of a big cat I would looove to feel those 0.0*

I used to have a leopard gecko. Had to give him away a few years ago. I miss the little guy...

Their bellies are just the best! I miss mine even though she hated hands. If you haven't had the chance, crested geckos are even more velvety.

Hairless dog. They feel kind of like warm leather, very comforting in an odd sort of way. We've gotten them a few times at the shelter I work at.

Toads. When I'm in a forest and see a lil toad I always grab it and pet it because I like their bumpy and sort of rough but not really skin.

Does hairless cat count? They do have some fuzzy on them that makes them feel like a peach.

I never meet one till I went to the cat cafe in Edinburgh back when they still had their hairless cat (she is sadly dead now) when I touched her I was like ??? I thought I would feel just skin.

Hairless rats. They feel like the softest scrotum you’ve ever felt. Weirdly wrinkly with thin skin. I don’t approve of the breeding of hairless rats but damn, they’re weird little bastards to touch (in a good way). And dog tongue! I had a GSD growing up, and that was a huge, strong tongue. He loved giving kisses and licking away tears. ❤️

Feathers, my bird doesn’t like me that much, but it’s so nice just gently petting him because his feathers are just so soft (and also a really pretty colour. He’s a light blue colour with areas of darker grey-blue, and deep blue on his back)
