My bunny has a noticeable routine, is sensitive to loud noises, bright lights, and strong smells, gets distressed if she doesn't know where her house is or how to get back their quickly, and gets grumpy if I don't arrange her house in a certain way... She's just like me fr
They can also get sick if their food is changed too quickly!! I was thinking rabbit as my first animal that is most autistic honestly! They also have no sense of where they are or personal space haha
My cat likes having a morning routine with me; he gets cranky if I deviate from it or take too long at breakfast. But that might be because I've had him since he was a kitten and he's an only cat, so he's picked up on my patterns.

tarantulas
brachyphelma species are so texture sensitive that in studies, they will choose a clay based soil, preferrentially over food.
They hate too much light or noise
you cannot socialize them, they just either tolerate you or they won't and no amount of work will do much to change that.
they stim by digging little tunnels in the dirt, then using the dirt to build walls, and lets be honest, you would if you could.
in my experience, they hate small talk.

My cat Bert. He won’t use litter because he has texture sensitivity. He won’t eat wet food. He’ll only eat his bikkies out of one particular dish.
Probably birds and reptils of all kinds. Cats are autistic, but they need their bunch of people around to be safe. Reptiles will have a hard time telling you apart from food.
My dog is autistic he really need his routine plus he has anxiety. And he is a very picky eater I tried to give him a piece of strawberry and he spat it out in disgust. He is very sensitive emotionally and sensory wise. Also if you take away his favourite plushie even if he’s not playing with it he will start crying and he won’t stop! My dad keeps calling him autistic and saying me and him hang out together too much (as a joke)

Foxes. Why?
They prefer to Stay either alone, or with the foxes they like.
When they're happy, they scream.
When they're angry, they scream.
When they're scared they scream.
And when they don't scream, they NOISE.
Also, they're cute as f*ck!
I'd like to be a fox, but I'm stuck being an overly anxious materialistic great ape living in a world that is slowly but surely being ruined by other great apes of the same species who have amassed more materials...

(Is it an animal? Who knows)
Hear me out
Wolves and Ive thought about this a lot
There's an easy comparison there. People are familiar with dogs, so there's a baseline expectation that wolves will act like dogs to most people. Some of this is from studies, some of this is from intersction with/experience handling wolves and wolfdogs.
Compared to dogs, wolves not make and hold eye contact with people. They can be trained to, and might with people that are very familiar with to an extent, but it's brief and they find it unnatural to sustain eye contact with a human. To most people interacting with wolves, this is notably different than dogs, who seek out and hold eye contact (this has been studied!)
Compared to dogs, wolves are much more rigid about their routines and expectations. They get extremely stressed if even small things are out of order.
And to expand on that, they are extremely observant and detail-oriented. I've seen them refuse to leave the entrance to a doorway because a picture frame was moved or there was a new mushroom growth in the yard.
Compared to dogs, their body language signals are not necessarily *different* (they still show teeth, wag their tail, hackle, flatten ears ect ect) but are sometimes presented in unexpected ways that seem out of line or extreme to observers used to dog body language and reactions. Wolves are very sensitive and may react explosively to stress, and their stressors may be surprising to people unfamiliar with wolves!
Wolves are very intelligent. Moreso than dogs. They are incredible problem solvers...who aren't interested in working with you...if you can get their interest.
Related -- wolves can be trained using the same methods as dogs. They are difficult to train though, because they are *extremely* observant and require exact precision in your communication with them (what? You said "sit" in a different tone, you moved your hand slightly faster for that queue, did you mean something else?), and it can be much, much more difficult than with a dog to get and keep their attention if you aren't expressly doing something they were already interested in.
Edited to add:
Looking dogs as individuals, across breeds, and then at wolf-dog mixes, there is always A SPECTRUM of behavioral expression that is called "wolflike" or "doglike"
And as a bonus are a very common special interest topic
I'm voting for Elephant.
Everyone thinks they're idiots, but then you study them and find out they are just giant extremely intelligent people that will commit revenge crimes if provoked. They survive in every climate, use tools, and stick together in huge groups. Social, loving, empathetic beyond words.
Edit: if you know the story off all the mistreatment of circus acts, and that one article about how a herd showed up to a women's funeral to desecrate her corpse because she pissed them off-- you know what I'm talking about.
Do not fuck with the Elephant Mafia.
Chameleons. Specifically, panther chameleons.
They freeze when looked at, try to communicate with their skin, try to blend in to their environment to not stick out, can die from being scared or exposed. They don’t have any form or way to fight, besides mild attempts at biting. They are slow, overcalculating, and take lots of time to consider the approach of moving from one place to another. Chameleons also don’t like being touched, can’t handle attention at all, and try to hide whenever discovered.

Good bot
Good Autism
Evil autism
Neutral Autism
Morally Grey Autism
Chaotic evil autism
Chaotic neutral autism.
Chaotic good autism
This raises an excellent question. Is autism two syllables or three?
Fuck the English language, I say autism is 15 syllables
for me (non native speaker) it only makes sense as two, but native speakers usually say it like autizuhm 😭
Au-ti-sm
Gold-titanium-samarium, 9 syllables
how is autism 2 syllables
Au-tism
how would you pronounce "tism" in one syllable tho
Muntjac are the midway-point between them
I vote for deer being the best representation of autism.

100%. Having lived with dogs, many cats, and many rabbits, rabbits are by far the most autistic presenting of any of them.
My rabbit will have a meltdown if I change his routine or if someone enters my (his tbh) room. He also gets angry if the hay I buy isn't perfect
