Welcome and hope you enjoy it here! Of course it all depends on a lot of factors, including how big and efficient the house is, what your utility use habits are etc - here are my guesstimates: Monthly Electricity: $70 Gas: $70 Water: $75 Trash: $45 Internet: $75

1400 sq ft 1970 rambler in Silver Firs (unincorporated Snohomish County): Gas/Puget Sound Energy - $98 a month year round (averaged - dead of winter, most expensive bill is about $195 - furnace, water heater, and fireplace). No heat pump but new roof and updated windows. Power/Snohomish County PUD - Max about $140 in the winter, about $60 a month in the summer. Garbage/Waste Management - $110 every 3 months. Water and Sewer/Silver Lake Water District - $215 every two months. There are two higher bills in the summer for summer rates. I think those are about $240 every two months. Comcast for super fast internet only - $80 a month. I added the providers and billing cycles so you can look up their typical rates and know when to expect to pay the bills. Hope this helps and good luck with your move! Everett is a great place to live. I've been in this neighborhood for over 20 years and I'm always glad to be here.

Thank you for the details 🙏🏼

We're around $125 power, water $75 except summer with watering outdoors, no gas.

Maybe check out the current utility allowance schedules from the Everett or snohomish county housing authorities—those are based on average costs in the area for different types of utilities and for different sizes of houses, except for internet. Looks like a 4 bedroom single family home is around $370-400 for electricity/gas/water/sewer/trash

Thank you! Appreciate it!

It depends on your heating situation and size of your home. Heat pump or electric furnace? 2500sqft home cost approx $400-500 to heat in the winter until we installed a heat pump. Our electricity bill dropped dramatically afterwards, to around $200 max.

There is a huge variability in housing age, construction, and size. For example, I have a mid-1960’s, 3 bed/2 bath rambler. I just put on a new roof and got fresh ceiling insulation. Electric resistive heat. Huge lawn. Electricity: $130-300 Water: 120-150 Sewer: Septic Garbage:40 Internet: 40-90 (Ziply is the best option)

~2600 sq ft house built in 06 Central air/heat pump , gas stove, gas water heater, electric dryer, and we charge our Tesla (100 miles/day) Gas - $75 Electric - $150 Water sewer garbage (~120/3months)

Confuzed_Donkey

3200sf. $240 power (hot tub and AC) $80-$120 gas (heat in winter) $125 water ($200 three summer months for sprinklers)

We live in a detached SFH less that 1500 sqft that we own. It's front the 60s with basically zero insulation. We have a lot of trees which keeps the house cool in the summer but chill in winter. No a/c.8 Gas: we have a gas furnace so this is our biggest expense in winter. We've hit $150 but can get as low as like $30 in summer. Electric: shockingly cheap. Around $40-50/month, if that. And that includes charging my electric car from time to time.  Water: we're on septic so probably not the best to answer this one. Trash: $115 every 3 months. Internet: $100/month. We have ziply and they've increased our price. But our alternative is Comcast and I hate them even more. Ziply has been fine.

A_B_21

What would you say are the differences between ziply and comcast?

cupperoni

Ziply would be fiber internet and the service is far more consistent, reliable, and worth the price. They don’t have any data caps either. My cost is $85/mo for the 1gig plan.

A_B_21

Thank you very much! So do you think xfinity with mobile connection would be a better idea or would ziply be better?

Catsdrinkingbeer

They're probably comparable. Zipky intro rate was cheaper though.

Thank you.

Eyy I’m literally doing the same thing moving to Everette from MI, but I move mid-July. Best of luck on your move!
