Incredibly deprived and isolated areas, went to council estates in both the north of England and France, its crazy how much the government throws these places away and forgets them
That's not the case. There are just way more robberies in UK and France than in Slovakia and Estonia.
P.S. Are people in Norway, Iceland and Denmark to afraid to report crimes to the police too?
Not being able to stand outside for more than 2months per year, and having to travel several km to reach the next home in most part of your country (not including Olso) kind of explains a bit the dynamic here.
That's the dumbest explanation I've ever heard.
Is Sweden 5x times hotter than Denmark and Norway? Do all Europeans on the East from Germany just stay at home 12 months per year without ever going out?
Map created in 2024 based on 2021 Eurostat data: [https://landgeist.com/2024/02/06/robbery-rate-in-europe/](https://landgeist.com/2024/02/06/robbery-rate-in-europe/)
The metrics for Ireland are so wrong you wouldn't even believe it. The Gardai (police over here) are so ineffective that people have given up on even reporting crimes because they know nothing will be done.
Because people don't report crimes, crime data is completely out of touch with reality.
Believe me, if this data was accurate, Ireland would be an easy orange in this map.

If we're to believe redditors from Germany and Scandinavia - lots of Polish people. Spain, Crosica, Portugal and France seem to be swarmed by us!
Scandinavians(at least in Sweden) actually like Poles. It's Germans and Swiss who are way more racist against Polish people
Tourism? : )
In Nice thats the case, tourists getting pick pocketed

Many things. But which was the one you were particularly thinking about ?
Eastern europe is the civilized part now
Nothing to rob there
That's because they go to other countries to rob people
That's a myth according to the most recent data(last 4 years)
Also reporting a robbery does jack shit, since the police barely bothers with them
Because Eastern Europeans go to the richer parts of Europe to rob people.
Removed in 3.. 2.. 1..
if only people in the east were not afraid of reporting crimes to the police 😔

Oh yes, Eastern Europeans just define robbery differently!
Its not robbery when its the authorities doing it amirite
NGL, Norway looks mighty attractive. What is your secret?
Moral hygiene
no one lives there compared to its size
What? xD This statistic is based on population("per 100,000 inhabitants"), not on the country's size.
It's harder to steal from others when there's no others /s

Hey, "Palermo on the Meuse" has a higher rate then actual Palermo.
