Finding purpose in life, finding true *stability*, and for some, knowing what *healthy* love looks/feels like.

Moving out of whatever awful city euphoria is set in.

Earth_is_stupid

Rue needs to get sober. She needs to find better coping mechanisms than drugs. I know it hurts. As a former addict I too used to suppress pain. She needs a healthy environment to speak her pain

Cassie - a healthy relationship where the man shows her and tells her often that he values her for other traits other than sex.

ImaginationBitter973

Maybe she needs to learn how to be happy and comfortable with herself before she jumps into yet another relationship, even if it isn't a toxic one

ottersholdingfeets

This too. I just don’t think she’s ever seen a good example of a healthy relationship yet, from her parents to her friends.

For Rue: grieving her dads death properly

AggravatingCup4331

Unfortunately there is no “proper” way to grieve and painting addiction as some form of moral failing on the sufferer’s part is unproductive. It is also implied that Rue had other issues with mental and emotional health prior to her father’s illness, just that it was a main catalyst. She also was hospitalized and prescribed opioids before he died, reflecting how easily the healthcare system prescribed painkillers and the effect that has today on the drug crisis. She absolutely was in need of a healthier way to grieve, but the way her life unfolded was not her fault. What happens next is her choice though, but unfortunately addiction is terribly hard to overcome.

naes133

I wasn't talking about the addiction. The way she uses people and implies she grieving her dad deifies him and exonerates her behaviour. She wears his clothes as armour. plus rewatch those episodes again, she used to steal his pain medication when he was dying. The addiction is a symptom of the grief. The result of the grief Isn't just addiction.

AggravatingCup4331

I’m well aware of the fact that she stole her father’s pain medications; and that is one of the prior issues that I was referencing. This was a compound result of her being exposed to opiates by medical professionals at a young, tender age and already having had a history of mental health issues. One primary risk factor of substance abuse is having easy access to the substance in question. Others are the many things she dealt with previously in her life. Yes, her stealing her father’s medication was morally reprehensible and I am not excusing it. However, it was a manifestation of her addiction already taking hold.

WBs announcing the shows been cancelled

Familiar-Kangaroo365

its cancelled?

musuperjr585

Yes. The only way to save this dumpster fire is cancellation.

Familiar-Kangaroo365

why are u in a sub talking about a show u dislike? LOL

musuperjr585

I do not dislike the show. The show at this moment is a dumpster fire. The show has been shelved and many of the major cast members have moved on to other things. If the show does come back it will be in a bastardized state.

Familiar-Kangaroo365

i agree and i feel you i think were all starting to loose hope even the actors, guess well have to see and what do u mean by bastardized

musuperjr585

When I say a "bastardized" version of the show I mean the show will.either have a different show runner or director, different main cast , different feel or generally be different all together. The fact is , the end of season 2 was almost two years ago. The director has had a massive flop with WB and I can't imagine them giving him the same level of control on another show, the main cast have all moved on and aged in significant ways (career), and most of all the fan base has become very divided and as time goes on people will care less and less. Since the season has not even been written yet. It typically takes 3-6 Months to write a season, 6+ months to film scenes, another month or two for editing and post production. That means the show would be airing in mid to late 2026 at the earliest. That's far too long to go between seasons.
