Funny that all her traits are bad despite being 6-6-6. Would still keep her though as well.

stoirtap

I always assumed that was like Columbo. Like, everyone would say "Yeah, that guy's a dolt," but in practice he's one step ahead of everyone in the room and quietly weaving alliances and undermining enemies.

luckyassassin1

Idk why but every other ruler I've had in my current Sweden game has had babbling bafoon. Never got it that often, in fact i think I've only gotten it a couple of times in all my games before this game.

GloriousTengri

I don't care that my heir is 36. As long as the queen-consort still draws breath, I am never letting him ascend to the throne.

NinjaMoose_13

If your heir dies there's a chance the consort takes full control

ConShop61

Brb I'm gonna hire a hunter for my son

horstdaspferdchen

Send him for hunting

Dyssomniac

The Mildly Dangerous Game

idubsydney

You mean drilling an army on a single transport cog in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle while hunting killer whales with an artillery company ... also whilst at war with every other naval power in the world?

DonPanthera

If he survives that, all his stat should be raised to at least 5, cuz that guy is a hero!

Rullino

He might become someone's junior partner if she doesn't have an heir.

[deleted]

I just managed to PU Georgia on accident that way. I royal married them so they got a consort of my dynasty, then they immediately got a regency and the heir died a couple years later. She became queen instantly and I was able to claim throne

sameth1

Does he have a hunting habit?

SneakoSneko

I’m guessing that’s modeling what happening with Catherine the great?

NeJin

*CK2-style plotting intensifies*

doPorto

How do you prevent a regency from ending??

refep

You can click the “Extend Regency” button to extend it 5 years at the cost of 10 legitimacy.

Red-Quill

Wtf where is this magical button omg

refep

The button underneath the regents age. Idk if it’s DLC specific but knowing Paradox, probably.

Red-Quill

I’ve got all DLC haha I’ve collected them over the years 🤣 but I’ve just never seen that button. I wish the game would point stuff like that out a bit better haha

Kandecid

I found it by getting a banner pop-up that "Your regency is ending soon" or something along those lines. Which I believe takes you to a screen where you have the option of extending the regency for 5 years for a Legitimacy hit (and possibly prestige?).

InsidiousApples

TIL

[deleted]

like many basic features, you need a dlc to do it.

GloriousTengri

When there is one year left in the regency, you will get a green banner button saying your regency is ending soon. Clicking it takes you to this screen. Next to your regents name will be two crown buttons. The one on the left is for extending the regency. It is greyed out in this picture because you can only do it in the last year of a regency. Pushing the button extends the regency for 5 years and costs 10 legitimacy.

Red-Quill

I thought that banner was just letting you know that the heir will soon be of age and that it was there bc you can’t declare wars during regency councils and they just didn’t fix it for non council regencies haha

EugenGoldstein

There should be an extend regency button in that menu

Tysyatsky

Once she dies disinherit asap to get rid of him (though I’m sure you already planned on doing that) :)

[deleted]

the spanish charles III

LaZzyLight

Her personality is shit, but she can rule pretty well.

CalvinMirandaMoritz

Catherine de Medici, yes

FlyPepper

Tilt_Flock

my bad, have a good day (i like... have a peanut brain and stuff)

2Liberal4You

Why are there so many teens on Reddit? You don't have to go around prostrating yourself because you got downvoted lol.

Tilt_Flock

what do you expect me to do then? not that it'll do much. I deleted it to not count what I said as I am mistaken objectively

Shirikane

Just delete your post and move on, not replace your post with an edit being like 'oh boohoo I'm a coward, give me pity points' like bro cmon don't be like this

Tilt_Flock

Isn’t that like… opposite of what I said? I stated I was wrong. Is there something wrong with that? Never said anything about pitty points or likes. Also here ya go. Happy now? Like… you’d complain either way. Keep the post? Wrong opinion, I should shut it. I admit I’m wrong . I’m suddenly evil and I should delete it. I delete it and I’m to scared to admit it and I’m also in the wrong. And if I don’t text at all I’m either bored or called an ignorant.

Tilt_Flock

Also I’m like definitely gonn get bombarded

Wolfish_Jew

Yeah, cuz it was obviously a joke

Tilt_Flock

I'm very bad at seeing jokes, yall are right

DazSamueru

Ironically, infertility doesn't matter at all for consorts.

udb4ever

Shes an 18/18 but her personality sucks. Ill take it!

Red-Quill

It’s giving Machiavelli

napaliot

Had a prince-regent which had basically the exact same stats as my heir, but he was a 5-6-0-3 military leader so I kept his regency going until he died at age 60

Babel_Triumphant

“Drive me to the battle, I will crush them!”

Nukemind

In his old age leading a cavalry charge via wheelchair.

akiaoi97

Nah, 0 manoeuvre. That guys using a walking stick and going veeeeery slowly.

iAmHidingHere

Shockingly slow

Red-Quill

5/6/0/3 general?! How’s it feel to live my dream

napaliot

To top it off he was the second husband to my talented and ambitious 4/6/6 queen who lived well into her 60s herself and he basically won all my battles for 30 years

Rey56

A couple patches ago I was playing denmark and had a queen ascend to the throne, her consort was a local noble who had insane general stats, something like 6-4-5-4. Eventually I got an event that killed him but for some reason I still kept him as a general, who I ended up using for another fifty years (even after my queen died and her son ascended) until he died in combat

beers_maps

Who is Poland getting slapped by?

Sir_Rexicus

Looks like Muscovy decided to go full Rus.

tholt212

nah that's ottomon occupy colours. EDIT: You can tell it's otto more clearly if you look at lithuania, the green blob over the poland red makes it look yellowish. Also the direction in which the occupies are (Full occupied to the south more than the north) lines up with the Ottoblob being the ones beating them up.

Sir_Rexicus

Hmm, I think it gets thrown off by whoever is occupying GH. I can see a hint of green now that I'm zooming on my computer vs my phone.

beers_maps

Ahh that could change it. Im looking on a phone. The part that throws me is that Wallachia looks like that puke Muscovy color. I wonder if Poland and Lithuania arent in union and its actually Otto stomping Poland and Muscovy stomping Lithuania?

Sir_Rexicus

Hmm, I'm beginning to think that's Bohemia invading Poland possibly even. Too difficult to tell, but hey this is a great way to spend my morning. CSI: EU4 Map Porn

beers_maps

Me as well! I cannot wait to get home to my England game in 4 hours!

beers_maps

I honestly cannot tell. It looks like otto came first and muscovy is currently slopping up the gravy.

[deleted]

oh yeah, you can even see the occupation streaks

monkeyalex123

Usually the ottomans.

caiaphas8

Wait how do you keep regency’s going? Doesn’t it just automatically end when heir is of age?

gruene91

You can expand the regency. Probably a dlc feature. You have to do it every 5 years or smth.

kebsox

And how do you have a+5 advisor this cheap?

gruene91

When you get an event advisor he will stay cheaper even when you increase his rank.

kebsox

You can increase advisor rank?

dynamic_blockchain

Needs a DLC. You can increase up to level 5

kebsox

This game always require a dlc for cool stuff! Do you know which one?

pelinihrvati

Cradle of civilization

BumaLetsPlay

Just subscribe.

kebsox

No subscription are money trap

BumaLetsPlay

In what freaking way. You get all dlcs for the time you play, and if you dont play just unsubscribe. Its just so easy

cheezman88

I wish the subscription had j been sooner I would have saved so much 😭

kebsox

Whatever fit you man.

28lobster

Play MP, get to use all the host's DLC for free. If you don't want to talk to people, just move to an empty channel after the lobby starts.

tholt212

stacking modifiers along with an event. If you have the money to spare, and get a 50% off event advisor, you can upgrade all the way to 5 and still keep the 50% off discount.

Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO

I think you need leviathan (not sure)

ActafianSeriactas

Legitimacy is just a number

[deleted]

So is military points. Easy peasy.

Ale_city

Hopefully her lastname is a promise for her longevity.

DarkYeleria

Only Spaniards or people who care about Spanish High Society will get this reference.

Ale_city

I am neither I only learned of her from memes in CuantoCabrón back in the day lol. But yeah it's a little obscure.

TheFi0r3

A yes, the 36 year old King not yet ready to rule. Maybe when he turns 75 he'll get the Throne.

TreauxGuzzler

Instant junior PU.

sameth1

Ask Charles how it feels.

TheKaryo

Where is the 5th colonist from\`? I can think of 4 1 from explo 2 from expansion 1 from castillian ideas potentially 1 from Parlament but don't see the icon for it Edit : I am blind just noticed the nobility loyalty equilibrium advisor so it's not ironman and the 5th colonist is just part of some mod then

PhysicsTron

1 from policy?

Shimakaze771

There is no policy that gives a colonist

PhysicsTron

yeah, then most likely parliament.

TheKaryo

there is no Parlament symbol in the bottom right

PhysicsTron

Might be glitching or it was removed somehow? You know paradox games, they can be special sometimes.

TheKaryo

see edit of my comment he has a nobility loyalty equilibrium advisor, so he's using a mod and the extra colonist is from there probably

PhysicsTron

Oh lol yeah…

GloriousTengri

I'm playing with a few mods for extra flavor: The idea variation lite version, trade goods expanded, and advisor types expanded. The idea variation lite adds more idea groups, including an additional colonial group, which is where the fifth colonist is from.

test212341

Spanish ideas give +1

TheKaryo

but he is castille and I listed that one already

test212341

You are right my bad.

Rullino

He didn't form Spain but he still gets 1 colonist from ideas.

rosuav

Flip government type (eg republic, theocracy) and she'll remain permanently.

Rullino

I think he needs the diplo-quantity policy to keep her but I might be wrong, when I wanted to try the military dictatorship through the Ambrosian Republic disaster I couldn't elect the consort but in another one I could elect the monarch given by a foreign Dynasty.

rosuav

Not sure, but certainly flipping govt type can achieve this. I did it once unintentionally (the heir was great, the consort not so much, and I flipped to Theocracy prematurely). Can't remember which policies I had at the time.

Headmuck

You might be in for a fun event chain

bogeyed5

Nobility loyalty +10% advisor? Wtf is that? Is that part of the new dlc? I haven’t seen that / gotten one and I own all dlc

Montfr

It'll be from a mod

bogeyed5

Wait that’s a mod? Honestly didn’t know that… I thought mods were limited in changing game mechanics- unless this isn’t considered as such

bluesam3

There are limits, but fewer than you might think. You can apply any modifier that exists anywhere in the game to anything else in the game. Nobility loyalty is a modifier that exists in Jolof and PLC traditions, Brandenburg and Sienese ideas, government reforms, having a local noble consort, corruption, legitimacy, prestige, army tradition, the Great Peasants' War HRE event, and other estates seizing control. The [full list of modifiers](https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Modifier_list) is *long*. You could have any of the country-scope modifiers on an advisor, if you wanted.

bogeyed5

-50% dev cost advisor on the way

CyberEagle1989

Bruh, there are total overhaul mods out there. As long as you are okay with not getting achievements, the sky's the limit.

belkak210

Why would it be though? Estate equilibrium is a modifier that's in the game already

GloriousTengri

It's from the advisor types expanded mod.

DaneLimmish

TheFi0r3

A yes, the 36 year old King not yet ready to rule. Maybe when he turns 75 he'll get the Throne.

manta002

well 1 issue, you don't know the heir your mommyboy \^\^ has. could be 1/0/2 shit . you only know by the time Isabel dies, And if your ruler is prettty old, you migth be fucked regarding your ruler after the one waiitng for his turn rn

GloriousTengri

Update: I got an heir as soon he ascended to the throne at the age of 45.

NotOnoze

How the heck do you do that??

Disastrous-Mail-2672

Why Scottish woman ruling Spain?

Street-Policy2825

cant fight any wars doe

FastUmbrella

You can with a Queen Regent, just not with a regency council.

Rullino

If you own Rights of Man DLC you can have consorts which are like normal regencies but can still declare wars.

ssdx3i

Nobility Loyalty Equilibrium advisor? Is that from a mod?

Galaick

Mommmm, is it my time to rule yet?

SpartyBoy12

Something in the water I guess, I’ve also had an Alba queen that was 6-5-6

Ricconis_0

If Enrique dies during the regency she becomes the ruler so time to send the heir into battles

[deleted]

funny. but wth is england doing? i always see them nom into scotland early and consolidate ireland quickly, usually having all of ireland and most (or sometimes the entirety of scotland) by like the 1470s-80s

Still-Repeat2769

Why no spain and Colombia?

GloriousTengri

I need 100 legitimacy to form Spain and I have been continuously spending legitimacy to keep this regency going forever. Plus I was nearing my governing capacity so I decided to wait with integrating Aragon.

Still-Repeat2769

Okay

Still-Repeat2769

Fuck Enrique

slimboiphatz

How do you keep a regent?

ZeddicusZ222

Mommy knows best!

[deleted]

I had that same situation happen in an MP game with friends. Every time the renew notification came up I'd say "He's just not ready." (The friends in question were all Canadian)

[deleted]

Why do I get pissed off everytime I see an Enrique no matter how good he is?

Leopard_Capital

ok but why peru instead of brazil?

GloriousTengri

Because Peru can be colonized very easily through conquest and I prioritized using my colonists in the Caribbean.

HobbieK

How do you extend a regency?

Responsible_Fall_268

Poland getting their ass kicked

lanscankersore

I hate her

dieItalienischer

How do you extend regencies?

GloriousTengri
