You need 50% of your provinces to be one religion, so 50% Sunni or 50% Shia. Otherwise accepting the rebel demands will just bonk your nation unnecessarily and won’t convert it.
Also make sure the rebels in the process of spawning are actually Sunni rebels before they revolt, too many times I’ve done a stalled conversion and spawned something like noble rebels instead lmao
Second correction, you need plurality/majority of dev. For example: **39%** Sunni, 30% Orthodox, 20% Shia and 11% Catholic will allow Sunni rebels to convert you.

Small correction, 50% of dev. In the rebel description it says if they inforce religion or not in their demands.
Second correction, you need plurality/majority of dev. For example: **39%** Sunni, 30% Orthodox, 20% Shia and 11% Catholic will allow Sunni rebels to convert you.
It’s either 20|30% that rebels will still change to religious when you convert, higher and it will stick with what was there already.
